I need some assistance with securing the stream of the videos being served by my wowza server. I really do not have any idea how to go about accomplishing this task. I do not know what options are available so I need someone who has expertise in securing video streams and the wowza server.

I want only the people paying for the video to be able to access the video stream. And when the user gets access to the video I want to mask the location of where the video is being streamed from.

I need a method that continuously captures a still shot/jpg from a live wowza flash stream.

We provide our customers a live stream from our wowza/cdn, but would like to provide our FREE customers a much less quality jpg stream.

We currently do this utlizing a PC, but would like to eliminate the PC and capture stills directly from the stream itself.

We have over 100 continuous streams

I need a hardware load balancer for a Wowza Load Balancing solution that is already running. I have an origin server and 4 edge servers.

Main Goal of the project is to hide the IP of the 4 edge servers. When you watch one of the streams being streamed on my server with WireShark you are able to see the IP of where traffic is coming from.

So, what I want is: ie. the IP on the embed code is 111.222.333.444, when you run Wireshark while watching the streams you’ll see 111.222.333.444 only however traffic is coming from one of the edges ie. 222.444.777.999

*Please make sure you run WireShark and start a capture once you open these URLs. You will see how the first URL will only show one IP ( you can hit refresh many times ). However the second one, if you hit refresh, you will see different IP which are of one of the 4 edge servers.

I have wowza load balancing running. I have 1 origin server and 4 edge servers. When I open a stream, with Wireshark I am able to see the IP of the edge server I was redirected to. I would like to know if it is possible that only one IP show.

I used Wireshark on a stream that uses istreamlive.net ( http://tv-msn.com/espnbrasilvip.html ) and I see that on their embed code has streamer.istreamlive.net. I have an account with iStreamLive and they always ask we use wow.istreamlive.net to publish in FME (Flash Media Encoder), but on the embed code use streamer.istreamlive.net. As you see they are a huge company, both wow.istreamlive.net and streamer.istreamlive.net are different IPs so they are on different servers. When I run wireshark on http://tv-msn.com/espnbrasilvip.html it will only show the IP of streamer.istreamlive.net, it won’t show the IP of no other Edge server.

I don’t know a lot about Wowza but I’m 99% sure that iStreamLive has hundreds of edge servers. However, only one IP is showing. Can I do that with my system?

I consulted a couple of people including Wowza. They tell me there are a few solutions. The one iStreamLive seems to be using is a hardware load balancer.

ie: Server A acts as a server load balancer outside of Wowza. It has IP 111.222.333.444 and that is where the player makes the request. That server then points to Wowza Edge Server B and redirects traffic there. The player and wireshark see 111.222.333.444 although traffic is being pushed elsewhere.

I need someone to get this project done for me in 10 days. I have a 700USD budget. I would like the hardware load balancer, however if there is another way of doing this, fine. I just need it to work as described above.

I only have linux dedicated servers.

I’m using Wowza Media Server Pro for recording and broadcasting of live streams. The live broadcasted from from Flash Media Live Encoder.

I want a simple Wowza module that executes a webservice (http://url/webservice.php) when stream is PUBLISHED, and when stream is UNPUBLISHED.

This module will send POST data:

* Application Instance
* Stream Instance
* Filename+Path of recording/recorded stream
* Public ip-adress of server
* Time

… to URL (http://…/webservice.php)

We have a streaming video delivery platform using Amazon EC2, S3 and Wowza Media Server. We are looking for someone with experience using Wowza (which uses Java) to work on the following projects:
1) Get metadata (length, bitrate, resolution) from the video file.
2) Get thumbnails of the video at certain increments
3) Implement the fastplay feature (so we can play video at 2X speed for example)

If you are familiar with Wowza, I would guess this will take something like 10 hours.

We use ASP.Net, this will all need to integrate with that as the main server.
