I have two wordpress sites using the same theme but with different content and databases. Somehow they have got mixed up, so when click on the menu on one site, it will take you to the other site.

I have looked at all the obvious things like making sure they are using the correct databases etc. but I’ve obviously missed something.

I am looking for a WordPress expert in order to develop a kickass theme for a my upcoming website.

I am currently coding in xHTML/CSS W3C compliant the design and it will be ready to be coded within this week. The content of the website is the following:

- Home page: Latest designs (4), about and services list.
- Portfolio page: this is a page with a JavaScript panel slider, in its container there are 8 projects with a short description. This page only needs to redirect to the portfolio entry.
- Portfolio entry page: Left side with several images of the same project and small arrows to see the next/previous project. On the main area we have the big images. Right below the big images there is the project description.
- Blog page: landing blog page with listing of the latest blog entries from top to bottom. The listing will have 1 image, and an introduction text. On the left area I will have some WordPress modules, like clouds, categories, twitter module and stuff like that.
- Blog entry page: this is straight forward; the big image on the top, the full blog entry text and below the comments and the comment form.
- Contact page: will have a contact form, a link to a booking application and some other simple content.

In the end I should have a flexible WordPress template, with the options to edit the content of all the pages, add items and several images per project on my portfolio and their respective descriptions, and of course the blogging functionality. I require as well someone able to deliver the template with security features to avoid hacking, I have some tutorials to hand over the winning bidder. The code MUST be clearly commented so I can understand it.

This is actually an inclusion of a php page here http://www.managethemarket.com/sto/bull/ajax.php and you can see that the pages have the same content. OK, now for the help I need.

There are two things wrong with the WP page that function on the php page.

1. If you click on any of the other dropdowns in the “other scans” tab they don’t appear. However, they work on the php page.

2. There is supposed to be a small stock chart that appears in a tooltip when the mouse is hovered over the “ticker” in the results. It doesn’t work on the WP page but it does on the php page.

I need someone that can help me troubleshoot this and get both of the above to work. Please ask questions via pmb if needed. Thanks!

The truth of the matter is that I am looking for someone to help me make money. I am originally from the UK, now living in Philippines. Even though I don’t know that much, I have tested the market, not on here but on other freelance sites. The fact of the matter is that being a born and bread British boy it is much easier for me to source the work. I’m not looking for someone just to do the work, I’m a hands on guy and love to get involved. I am looking for someone that can help me learn as we go. I can talk the talk, but for now I am having problems walking the walk. If I can find someone who is reliable, available on skype (email communication is not my thing) and knows word press very well, I’ll get the work, no doubt. Leave your details. I am going to leave this open for the 45days. If you don’t have skype, don’t bother. I will phone each person who leaves their skype id. No need to worry about the language thing, if you know your wordpress stuff and can talk(kitchen English, as it is called from where I originally come from) that’s fine, I will work through the language problem.

And as some buyers do I’m going to insist that apart from your skype id you include the secret code in your reply. I have only provided a yahoo email for this and a salary of $1 as I need to interview each person. As you can tell I’m straight to the point and I expect the same in return. Just let me know what you can do. It doesn’t really matter, the work is there if the buyer is provided with results. They don’t care who does it as long as they can communicate properly. There are only 8 little jobs in my wordpress installation. You need some knowledge and experience in WordPress an PHP.

Here are the jobs:

1. Create a widgetable Footer. More Infos about widget ready footers here http://wordpressisland.com/2008/07/24/creating-a-widget-ready-footer-in-wordpress/ and integrate the widgets “Related Posts”, “Top Posts” and “New Comments”.

2. There are a problem with the feedburner registration. i have a feedburner form in one sidebar. make sure, that the register-function works correctly.

3. There are a problem with the background-image in the wp-login / wp-register page. make sure, that the background picture is display correctly.

4. Integrate an gravatar.com image in the comment-section, so that is display the picture of an commentator.

5. My Comment Subscribtion Checkbox is postboned. I like it between the big textarea and the “Send”-Button. error messages should be on the same page at the appropriate place to display.

6. I have a problem with the admin rights in my wordpress installation. When i use the plugin “php exec” i need the admin-rights to execute some php code in pages, sites, posts. but as an admin i have only “user rights”. i don`t know why. make sure, that the php plugin works fine, so that i can execute some php code in sites and posts.

7. Integrate “Related Posts” under every Blogpost, so that the 5 best matching contributions can be displayed.

8. On 5 or 6 points in the website, i have a form from www.foxyform.de. it is always the same form. please rebuild the form with the installed plugin “cforms” and replace it with the old foxyform-forms on the website. error messages should be on the same page at the appropriate place to display.

Thats it. This is an easy job for the right person! You become access to wordpress and all information and links what you need. Most parts of the wordpress backend is in german.

I have a WordPress 2.7 site, which has a problem with uploading images.
When I upload an image, it doesn’t go into the wp-content/uploads/2009/04 folder. I have checked the permissions, which are at 777. But still the image won’t upload. In the code, it says the image is in wp-content/uploads/2009/04 but the image doesn’t show and there is nothing in the folder.

Can someone please help.
