We are developing an online web portal that will be like yahoo. It will consist everything that yahoo has but it will be deployed in phases. The first phase is expected to be launched at the end of March the second phase in by the end of June and the final phase in September. There are about 150million people in my country and 54% of this population have email accounts with google, yahoo, hotmail etc. but we aim to launch a service that offers, email, messenger, search, news and more with more functionality and user scalability.

The idea is to use Joomla to develop a new web portal – but if not, please recommend how you would see it working. A very user friendly CMS will be needed if Joomla is not used.

We need a webportal which works something like www.legalzoom.com. Please check the working of the site properly to understand how our portal will work.
The idea of the portal is to prepare some documents online, where the user enters the answers to questions and the document gets ready. The documents can be prepared automatically or with human intervention from our side. The Administrator should have the rights to add/delete/modify the questionnaire.

The UI will have to be ajax based and will be different www.legalzoom.com.

We would like to create a web portal with an admin page to manage the portal’s contents, accounts and subscriptions.

The web portal would ultimately be a directory of client’s businesses and their contact details from various categories. And this will be a central point for customers to search for businesses that they are looking for to cater their needs.

The following is required (only draft, may require more):
* backend to add/update/delete client’s account
* be able to charge a fee to the clients depending on the subscription the client selects.
* add/update/delete banners
* search bar
* category management
* admin directory management (i.e. client’s information, and listings for categories)
* clients can login to their account and upload a banner, manage their contact details / information about their business, change their subscription.
* the customers are able to add the client’s to their favourites and manage their favourites list.

We need someone with the experience and knowledge of web portals, or have the confidence and ability to create this web portal, and provide the support after the web portal is in production.

I have already purchased software to use on the site I am creating which is a micro blogger app similar to that of twitter. The software is Micro Blogging at x10media.com . There are several things i want changed and customized within this script and some addons that will need to be built in order for the site to operate as I am wanting it. There will be very little design work actually needing to be done, I just want a lot of the outputs and account settings being changed as well as a few what seem to be simple plugins created to work with each account and the site.
