I have a Volusion webstore with about 500 products (women’s clothing, jewelry and accessories). Due to Google’s recent changes in their Products Feed Specifications, I need to have the QB Query code language I currently use in Volusion’s Import/Export section revised so that it will generate and export a datafeed that meets Google Products new specifications.

Google Products now requires additional categories: size and color variants, gender, age group, availability

My current export is currently NOT generating any of these categories.

We need a template modified using Volusion, Big Commerce, or 3d Cart. Designer does not have to code the whole template from scratch. This may require the designer to create a test account, create the template using one of the premade templates, submit the code to us and we will issue payment.

Basic Website Details:

1. Header 100% width
2. Footer 100% width and large enough to contain images (credit cards accepted, links etc)
3. Orange burst (rays) at top and bottom of the middle portion

My client has a very small shopping cart that he would like built with Volusion running the shopping cart. I have built a simple html site on a temp server: (http://zagato.websitewelcome.com/~millwork/index.htm). The idea is that the visitor would click the button ‘buy online’ and be taken to shop.millworksla.com which would point to Volusion’s server with the shopping cart. The client wants the shopping cart pages to have a similar look-and-feel as her site, so in other words to not use one of Volusions’ free or premium templates. The products would be the same as viewed on the ‘collection’ page of the link above. Client has a Volusion account.

Primarily, our business revolves around custom cabling for professional audio applications. Our website is hosted on Volusion.

While we have many products that offer various options for the buyer to configure their cables (some options affect price while others don’t), we are looking for a way to implement a custom cable application to our site whereby a customer could literally step by step design their own cable or multi-channel snakes. This means they could choose a cable category, specify a specific cable type (manufacturer’s of cables have many cable types… we predominantly use two brands of cable and about twenty varieties of cable within those brands), then specify what connector type and specific connector they require on either end of the cable. In the case of “multi-channel snakes,” they would be able to configure each channel either one at a time for full customization, or all connectors on one side in one fell swoop. Then obviously they would be able to also select the length of their custom cable as well as color choice (if the particular cable type is offered in various colors).

These choices as the customer moves along through the process of selecting the various aspects are dynamic — meaning that toggling the first choice (i.e. individual cable vs. multi-channel snake) leads to the second selection updating the choices available and so on.

This site defines the custom cable industry in terms of allowing the user to configure a cable or snake in any way they wish.

While this redco website’s version is functional and certainly commendable, we are looking to implement a similar program on our website that improves the buying experience for our customers. These improvements would include providing better visual feedback of the selections made as well as information on the choice of cables and the reasons to use one vs. another for a particular application.

Basically, we love their concept, but we want to refine it to be just a step better.

I’m not sure how this can be accomplished, but it’s been suggested to me by one programmer that a link that takes the user outside of Volusion, allows them to go through a similar process to what is linked to above on Redco’s site, and then return to our shopping cart with the custom built item and a price in their cart would likely be the manner in which to accomplish this goal. Perhaps there are other approaches to be taken.

Obviously, to accomplish this we will need to work with a programmer to provide the information required to implement such an idea including the information for dynamically updating variables, price points for the base products, and additive information for selecting specific options.

We are anxious to find a programmer who has a fantastic idea for tackling this for our company and our budget is flexible depending on what the concept might be and the ability to execute something tidy, effective, functional, and fun to use… read: an improvement on the www.Redco.com concept.

I look forward to hearing from all of you programming geniuses. With the right idea and the know how to implement this idea, we are ready to work with the right programmer to achieve this initiative.

Any volusion experts out there. I need someone who can upload a new template to my volusion store (volusion.com). The template will need to have the appropriate volusion store codes added to it. please email me with any questions. Here is the old template healthyworldaffiliates.com.

I am using the ecommerce volusion store software from volusion.com. i want to upload a new template. I will have the new template designed and the html page put together by my designer. What i need is for someone to add the code to the template that makes the volusion template work. I will also need you to upload this new template to the server with the graphics.

You can view the current template here. healthyworldaffiliates .com . You can see they put in code before and after the heading and then a code ID name before and after the left navigation. There is a code ID for where the content will be..etc. This needs to be implemented on the new html template that i want to upload to the server. This code makes the template work with the software. The code ID name indicates where the header, navigation and content will be on the entire site using one template. I’m not familiar with html so i would need help adding these codes to my new html template that i would like to use with this software.

We have a need to write an app that allows me to import an XML file using the volusion API (http://devwiki.volusion.com/index.php/Introduction) on a scheduled basis. There is example code int he wiki.

The file would need to run be on a local machine and we would can use Windows Scheduler or a 3rd party scheduler app to run the app.

The app will need to allow us to set the import parameter(see below), file name/location, API Username and API Encrypted Password, as needed (i.e. the password changes every 90 days). Input parameters are as follows (there are more options, but these are the ones I need):

Insert – Will only insert new records and ignore all others.
Insert-Update – Will insert new records that don’t exist and update any that already exist.
Update – Will update existing records only and ignore any records that don’t exist.
Delete – Will delete all records included in the import.

A sample XML file is can be provided. We may run multipe jobs, one for different files (i.e, stockstatus & update, or donotallowbackorders & update.)

Volusion provides learning modules which are fairly easy to understand.

This is a small project to start and if the site turns out well it will be an ongoing project, which would mean updating new merchandise, well written articles to send out in newsletters, graphics that are well done, etc. We plan on increasing the products and descriptions quite a bit after it’s launched.
