We need 2 almost identical functions for our homepage.

The first function, needs an input of 4 digits from a field on the viewed page, which the viewer provides by entering his information there.

This entry is then searched for in the first column of an underlaying two dimensional look up table, consisting of 1252 Rows times 3 columns, residing on the server (NOT part of the viewed page).

When a match is found, the function looks up the relating entries in the same row and use them according to the following description:

The second column contains a name of a town, which is then going to be displayed in a seperate field on the page, next to the input.

The third column contains a number, which is then used in a simple mathematical formula, on fixed entries in fields of a vissible table on the viewed homepage itself. The formula could be: fixed value in the 1st column of a displayed table / 1000 * FUNC:Irad (Irad being the output from the lookup function).

The table must reside on the server for the homepage. We can upload such files at will, under the current CMS system, as we upload pictures and/or pdf files. The name of the file being the same as we call the function that it refers to ie: Irad (suffix “.dat” or “.tbl” or whatever)

Town: LLookup(Entry;Irad.A1:A1252;2)

The function List-Lookup (in Open Office Calc) finds the row where the Entry match the content in the first column, and then looks up in the same row the referred column (ie: 2 or 3) as described above.

The underlaying table could be either a comma file, a calc sheet or a database, whichever is preferred by the programmer.

We should ofcourse be able to use this function call for every entry in the vissible table that we want to, simply by calling it’s name as part of the formula for that entry.

The actual programmed functionality must not be present with the viewed page, but must reside on the server, so it cannot be copied by a viewer. Therefore it might presumeably be necessary to have a virtual button on the viewed page that says “Calculate”

The next function is basically similar, but requires the user to enter two values.

Angle: 1-360
Tilt : 1-90

The underlaying table for this function then contains 360 rows of each 90 columns, and is called: FUNC:Coeff

Angle can be used directly to access the relevant row, and Tilt used to enter the correct column of that row, for the resulting value.

The result is then again used in a simple formula on each entry of the last column in a vissible table, by just calling the function name: FUNC:Coeff x entry

It would be nice, if the fomula could just be entered as shown above, in the respective field of the table.

We need someone to update our website with a news feed area so when users sign in the site they can see: travel plans from people who are going to the same places as they are, from friends, they can see new photos from friends and from people who ARE in the location that they are going, if a friend comment on their photo or profile. They will also see the things their friends are commenting on.

We already have the comment and travel plan features, we only need to display these in a news feed so just like facebook as you sign in you see whats going on around you. You will also make it show who viewed your profile, what time and date they viewed it and have a list to view all who viewed it. For people who viewed your profile – we will show only the ones for the past 30 days.

Existing website with Joomla installed. Need to add a video section where videos would be protected. People will need to be given unique username and password to access video section. Site owner will need to be notified by email when video has been viewed. Ideally, we need a way to monitor if the user saw the entire video. There will be several videos in the library and each video views will need to be tracked in the admin area. For each user name, we will need to know what users viewed it, and how much of it they viewed and what date/time they viewed it. If the same user views the video more than once, we will need to see that in the admin area.

There will be multiple videos and multiple users. For each video, we need to be able to give access to select users. Not all created users will have access to all videos.

This project contains 2 parts, both related to the drupal views module. I can not solve these problems myself, but i do have enough knowledge and experience to know that this should be a relatively minor job which should not require much custom code.

Drupal has a built-in field called ‘Node : Has new content’, I currently have a view which displays a table showing node titles and some other fields, I also display this Node : has new content field which displays the text ‘new’ if the full node has not yet been viewed by the user. Now, for this ‘new’ text to disappear the user must click on the node title and view the ACTUAL individual node page, a user can visit the page with the views table many times and the new content marker will always remain unless they view the full node. I need this ‘new’ marker to disappear when the user has simply viewed the VIEWS TABLE, i.e. they have simply seen the list of node titles which is enough to consider the nodes to be no longer new.

Alternatively it would also be acceptable for the new marker to disappear 3 days after the post date of the node instead of after the user has viewed the table (the Node : Has new content field does not have to be used for this, any method which achieves the goal is ok).

2. This one is very simple (well i thought so until no module could solve my problem). I would like to prevent anonymous users from viewing the full node for a specific content type, BUT…I still want the anonymous users to be able to see the Views table with the node titles and other fields (as described in my first request above). Now, I have tried different content access modules and experimented with permissions but it seems anything that tries to block access to the full node also blocks access to the view, probably because the view is displaying fields from the node which are considered to be ‘blocked’ to the anonymous user. When an anonymous user tries to click on the full node they should be presented with a message asking them to register or be re-directed to the registration page.

Lastly, I will require a full detailed explantion of how both problems have been solved (dont worry I am technically minded and will understand).

What I need to do ?

1) Web2.0 Design:
a very simple layout (fixed width) of only 1 webpage (the homepage) that need to contain:
a) Header (very simple, it not need words like logo or something, just a simple header without logo)
b) 2 Buttons (Home – Contacts)
c) Search form (to search a file)
d) Under the Search form it need to have 2 columns (49% each size) that will contain:
e) Latest Added Files (extracted from MySQL)
f) Most Viewed Files (extracted from MySQL)

2) MySQL Database to handle data:

a) I need to insert 2 parameters:
b) File name (imagetest.gif)
c) Description with html tags (<b>Image of Cartoon</b>….)
Conditions:
d) If the file name exists then UPDATE the second parameter (description) else INSERT the filename and the description.

e) I do NOT need an Admin Panel for manage tables/values.
f) The filename need to be clickeable, so if an user click over one filename listed on “Latest Added Files” or “Most Viewed Files” it will print (under the search form) the filename and the description.
g) If an user search a file, the result will be printed under the search form

Note:
The results of a search or the result of a file will be printed between the search form and the Most Viewed Files / Latest Added Files columns.

What it does is delete ads that are older than one day. That works great. The second part is suppose to delete the viewed record. In other words every time the ad got viewed the information was stored in the viewed table. If the ad gets deleted all records pertaining to the deleted ad should also be removed from the viewed table.
