I would like a user to be able to “check in” to a venue similar to facebook, yelp or foursqaure.
If the venue does not exist a user should be able to create a venue along with it’s details.
Venues should be able to be sorted by nearest location or via other criteria.

I am looking to have a working multimedia player on my Joomla site. I need it to play music (mp3)in the background while you browse the site and have the ability to be maximized when you go to our Multimedia page. No need for multiple players, simply manipulate what is played in the background on our multimedia page.

I also would like to have the ability for our visitors to choose albums, artists, video and audio. It will be necessary to embed YouTube videos, and RSS feeds. The ability to “Share” these in facebook or twitter would be a nice touch.

I would like to player to recognize ID3 tags to aid in posting.

Users should also be able to submit events – which are added to database and then approved/edited/rejected by admin.

The facebook app will allow users to filter clubs by searching… search by city, search by music style, search by date etc, search by venue etc

Users should be able to add a comment/review to venue/club night, they should also be able to add each venue or club night as a favourite… favourite clubs/venues should display on their facebook profile, and their profile photo should appear under venue/club night as “favourited by…”… any interaction with app should display on their facebook feed to friends.

There will be a rankings system for users with points weighted to their actions (5 points for commenting photo, 10 points for tagging friend in photo, 20 points for inviting friend to app) etc… a leaderboard page will display this rank.

Where for example (this-is-the-venue-item.html) is, i would like this url to be created from the “Venue_Name” field as mentioned below.

I have created a table already that has the following fields.

I have a form that can edit all of the above information etc in my admin pages of my site. I would like to have the ability to change the SEO friendly URL within this form. The friendly url would be stored in the “seo_url” field. Similar to how it appears when creating a post within WordPress.

From my understanding a .htaccess file will need to be setup too.

This work needs to be completed asap! And possibly some instructions for using it in the future too. The site is currently on a development server which im happy to provide access too!

AuthorsTrack is a static website. I would like to bring it to the next level. more dynamic, more like an application.

The heart of the website is events listing. Currently I am updating the website manually, fixing the code via html and such. However I would like my new site to be database driven. I would like to stop updating my website manually and importing my data via an excel spreadsheet.

another big component of this website is the venue page. the venue page are pages that contain detailed information about each venue. there are about 200+ venue pages, all static on my website and all have general type of information. I would like the ability to fix and add more venue page to this area of the website.

the reason for the venue page creation was to help the visitor to find out more about the particular venue hosting the event. it contain data like address, a cool google map for them to use and photo of the venue.

I would like the events information to connect with the venue data information. Any events that are happening at this venue should show up in the core database and the venue itself, linking the two together.

I would also like to have a BRAND new area for Authors too, in the same concept as the venue page. the author would have a stand alone page for themself and would be save forever within the database confinde. It will also be created on the fly via an excel spreadsheet.

Hey guys, we are looking for help with a small but ongoing project. We had previously posted this project, but due to a few roadblocks and life things have been delayed. Nonetheless, we are looking for all input and will very much need to speak on the phone/skype with the winning bidders. We need specific details as to how progress will be shown to us.

We have chosen to have our site built with Joomla, as we enjoy the interface and relative ease of use. We would prefer our site handed over with Joomla and the template we have chosen, but are open to more efficient, easier options. Our template is RocketTheme’s Mixxmag (Jan ’09).

The first phase of the project involves setting up a simple two page website. The first page will be a detailed events page, and the second page a contact page. We will need an instalment of Joomla on our new server, Google apps set up with our domain, the ability to build an email subscription list, and a stable organized RSS feed. We have sketches of the visual outline to the events pages and contact us page. These can be forwarded upon request, and the functionality we require for both pages can be read below.
There are several more pages and items of functionality that will be set up after this is complete. We will need very quick help with our logo and favicon as well.

Functionality required with the Contact Us Page (ask for attached visual interpretation):

1. A contact form placed underneath a block of text.
a. Submitted forms are forwarded to an admin email address setup with Google Apps.
b. Contact form must fit to the visual appearance of the site
c. We are familiar with the component ChronoForms, but are open to suggestion and custom form organizers.

I am setting up a local events and entertainment business listings website being developed with Joomla 1.5 on a virtual host using a jumpbox package –> (is this a problem for coders??!) The site is for my college final project / dissertation.

I am willing to pay fairly for the project, on the condition that the coder is certain they will be able to deliver. Please provide a quote and timescale.

This is a joomla 1.5 code/plugin request for integration between:

1. Event host extension : ‘Eventlist’ (www.schlu.net)
2. Business directory extension : ‘SOBI2′ (www.sigsiu.net/sobi2.html)

I am hoping to find someone with past experience coding integration between SOBI2 and Eventlist. I’m sure there must be someone out there who has dealt with a similar request in the past.

Design Brief for SOBI/Eventlist Integration:

* The SOBI2 business listings need to be used for selectable venues when adding a new event instead of Eventlist’s built in venues database. (Preferably keeping SOBI2s top categories in order (not so fussed about sub-categories – but if either is possible then it would make me a very happy man.)
* An eventlist should show up on all SOBI2 listings for businesses that have listed events in eventlist – (Preferably this would be part of the SOBI2 entry detailed view as opposed to a link to a seperate events view)
* Venue titles in all events entries should link to SOBI2 listings. The only thing i want eventlist to keep track of is events and their eventlist category. All detail fields should link directly to SOBI, and any custom fields I add into SOBI should be publishable. (So in the detailed view for a single event, the fields for the venue details come from SOBI.)
* Please note I am also using a calendar module made by qivva (http://extensions.qivva.com) for eventlist and I would hope that this would still function after the integration is complete.

Please let me know if jumpbox is a problem! When it comes to installing the project on my site, i will have to send a backup or do it myself.

Im not sure if the calendar will be a problem, it might need a way to map to the sobi listings as the venue. (I think it will just be a case of changing the venue reference in the code – Although im far from an expert on these matters!!)

Please let me know if what I am trying to do is breaking copyright – I wouldn’t want to do anything dodgy.

I would hope to be updated of progress and rough predicted timeline.

I need a websites data scraped from direct HTML as far as I can see.
The website is Odds data in numerals. The other information relating to the data is in Japanese.

I speak, read and write Japanese and understand the entire site so you will be fully guided by me and do not need to know any Japanese.

You will need to complete the following to finish this project.

Take a list of VENUES provided and check the venue for each dataset in double byte Japanese characters.
For each venue take the list of races according to a schedule from the site. (Usually 12 races)
For each venue create a list of races each day.
For each race save RAW HTML files of the odds data.
Take the RAW HTML data that is changing every minute and parse it for output in csv text files according to our format.
Make sure these .csv files are named according to our naming convention and include time stamps.

Save the .csv files in appropriate directories.
