Hello, we would like to link the logins of 3 different systems into one.
To minimize the overall cost so please make the integration as simple as possible.
Below, you will see our comments but please feel free to offer your suggestions if you have ideas on how to accomplish this result in a better, more efficient and cost effective way.
We thought of simply combining the databases so that they would simply share the Username, Password and Email fields but when we tried that we noticed that the systems used different methods for encrypting their passwords.
So, the systems we would like to merge the logins and sign-ups for are ( Vanilla Forums ), ( WordPress MU ) and ( ClipsterScript ).
We would like to have just 2 sign-up forms for all Three systems and 1 login form for only Two of the systems ( Vanilla Forums & ClipsterScript ) and the third system will keep its original login page ( WordPress MU ).
The First Sign-up form will automatically include Vanilla Forum and ClipsterScript with a check box option to include WordPress and the Second Sign-up form will have WordPress with the option to include Vanilla Forums and ClipsterScript.
The Two systems that will use the same login form are ( Vanilla Forums ) and ( ClipsterScript ). These two systems will be on the same domain with different sub directories, for example: vanilla.domain.com and clip.domain.com. The WordPress MU installation will be on a different domain, for example: www.domain2.com.
The Sign-up form will need to use ajax and be very clear and easy to use.
The form must have the following:

Looking for an individual whom can work with us to help build out our brand new Vanilla – Forum setting website. We would like to have some add-ons applied, and will take suggestions from the selected provider.
Needs to know how to and has worked with Vanilla CMS previously.
Initial work is light, small configure file error needing to be resolved, and then extra add-ons can be installed.
We would be willing to pay for a bulk package deal to accomendate our needs with a fix, three or four basic add-ons installed, and any other suggestions to help us grow the site. Length of time spent on work per the above should equal = 6 hours in total
Much work can be done in 6 total hours
Hello,
I have a website at www.osid.co.uk
The forum is a Joomla – Vanilla bridge but logged in users are not able to create new topics or make posts on topics.
This needs to be fixed.
Thanks
Greetings,
I am looking for a capable programmer/developer who has experience with both the Invision Power Board and Vanilla forum softwares, and whom is capable in generating a script for us to use to migrate data from one to another.
We currently operate an IPB forum. We are looking to migrate from IPB to Vanilla.
All we are looking to migrate are the user accounts (IPB member accounts – usernames and post counts only) and all topics/threads within the forums, exported from IPB and then imported into Vanilla.
We do NOT require Profile data (avatars, bios, personal website url’s etc.), polls, attachments etc.
I understand that keeping the user account passwords within IPB is not possible when migrating due to encryption, but I will need to provide members with an option to reset their password in Vanilla when the migration is complete (I believe this should happen naturally once migration is complete, however).
A few years ago someone had a working script to do this (as well as step by step instructions) – This is available at the following URL:
http://vanillaforums.org/addon/208/Convert-Invision-to-Vanilla
This script and instructions no longer work, but I gather will provide a platform for someone to start.
We are using the latest relese of IPB (IPB 3) and we will want to use the latest version of Vanilla (http://vanillaforums.org/)
I can grant you access to a test bed copy of IPB and Vanilla on our server, but you will need to generate your own user data within this as I cannot grant access to our live user database.
I will need will to see a working example of the script prior to releasing any monies.
Recently, I went from phpBB to Vanilla. My users are telling me they hate it. Ready to go from Vanilla to vBulletin. It has a converter, so it should be easy-ish. The only “hard part” is that I use Joomla connected to Infusionsoft as my back end. I want to require that users are authenticated to their back-end Infusion account first BEFORE being able to post. (You can see how we implemented this in current Vanilla forum if you like.) I also want several plug-ins installed to vBulletin.
MUST BE ABLE TO USE SVN to bid on this project.
Prefer vendors in/near my timezone (NY TIME GMT -4). Prefer vendors I can skype / google talk / chat with.
Who is this project for ? I need a CSS guru with php skills. Merit if you have worked with vanilla before but not essential if your PHP skill are equally as good as your css skills.
VERY IMPORTANT : I HATE (and will ignore) preformatted CV
