Gmail Scraper Needed For Order Confirmation Emails

November 17th, 2011 Comments off

We receive several hundred order confirmations a day via GMAIL. The order confirmations are standard in format and content.

We need to extract certain text data units from these confirmation emails. We would like to run a scraper which would automatically extract these data units for us. Scraper should then create an Excel file with the extracted text units.

Database Whiz Wanted

October 4th, 2011 Comments off

I want a quick and easy database where a customer can place an order for a new product.
The entry screen has fields for their details (name, email, phone numbers, country of origin, country target market,
Select product
Select Volume (volume determines price points, e.g 1000 units is US$16, 5000 is US$15)
Select custom artwork option (from $2 per box on 1000 units to free at 10,000 units
Select custom artwork on product (from $2 per unit on 1000 units to free at 10,000 units
Select when you want delivery (more urgent increases the price to ensure higher position on the production schedule)
Booking deposit (more urgent the higher it is from $500-$5000) is immediately required to secure a slot. Customer automatically gets a free sample.
If they do not pay booking fee they get added onto the end of the confirmed bookings and in order of volume and bid price
Production deposit required date(usually 30%) within one week to confirm order and maintain production slot. Failure to pay deposit will forfeit the booking deposit.
balance of funds on completion of order – if a customer does not have final balance ready the units will get transferred to next customer order for them to accept.
The sliding customer gets a 3% handling fee added and after 1 month the order is cancelled. The customer may get their deposit back less 5% handling fee
LC option handling deposit required (5% of order) if the order is large the customer might prefer LC, this is ok but handling fees are incurred 5%
required production days based on order (simple calc based on daily output and order size
Cumulative production (based on the orders) Currently production capacity is 30,000/day . Once we hit confirmed orders for 50 days we will automatically increase the production capacity 50%
This will reduce production days back to 33
Database will then email everyone to announce the change in production days as their orders will move up slightly.
The calculation will automatically adjust once the orders reach 50 days production
We will also get notified of the need to boost capacity on CONFIRMED ORDERS not just enquiries however we will be monitoring all volumes
System should be able to be on and offline in case internet connection is unavailable

Precious Metals Calculator

January 28th, 2010 Comments off

I am looking to create a precious metals calculator that my customers can use to calculate the value of the precious metals they own. The fields I want visible on the calculator are the weight, units, metal, and estimated price I will pay. The items I don’t want visible to the visitor is the spot price and the percentage of spot I will pay them.

The units I want on the calculator are troy ounces, regular ounces, pennyweights, and grams. The metals I want are gold, silver, and platinum.

Behind the scenes I want the calculator to calculate the scrap metal value based on spot price, weight, units, type of metal, and percentage of spot price I would pay.

Javascript/css Ad Code

October 27th, 2009 Comments off

I need an expert in Javascript and CSS to create code for web ads.

I currently have HTML and CSS pages that display ad units similar to Google Adsense ads or Yahoo Publisher Network ads. What I am looking for is Javascript code that will display these ad units when embedded in an HTML page, with variables controlling the color, font, text, links, etc that appear on the ads.

There are 13 text-only units that are the same sizes as the Adsense units (https://www.google.com/adsense/static/en_US/AdFormats.html) plus a 120×300 size. And there are 13 units that include a small image next to the text.

In addition to displaying the ads, the Javascript code will need to be able to shuffle the position of the ads, as well as alternate ads for A/B split testing.

Xhtml/css For 13 Ad Units

September 8th, 2009 Comments off

I need XHTML/CSS code for ad units that will look similar to (but not exactly the same as) the Adsense text ad units. (https://www.google.com/adsense/static/en_US/AdFormats.html) I will need all the 12 sizes offered by Adsense, as well as a 120×300 ad unit.

There will be two versions of each size ad unit: one will be purely text; one will allow for a small image to accompany each ad.

It is important that the size of the units be maintained; if too much text or tool large an image is included it must not break the unit.

The entire cell with an ad will be clickable, not just the ad link.

Using CSS it should be easy to change the border color, background color, text color, link color, border style and font family.

As long as the unit size could be maintained, it might also be nice if the border width and font size could be easily changed, a drop shadow added/removed to the unit, and a line separating each ad in the unit could be easily added/removed.

The bottom of each unit will contain a thicker border with my URL. (Similar to what you see at the bottom of the Adsense image ads: https://www.google.com/adsense/static/en_US/AdFormats.html )

Part 1 – Create a Java application that displays the product number, the name of the product, the number of units in stock, the price of each unit, and the value of the Inventory (the number of units in stock multiplied by the price of each unit).

Part 2 – Modify the Inventory Program so the application can handle multiple items. Use an array to store the items. The output should display the information one product at a time, including the item number, the name of the product, the number of units in stock, the
price of each unit, and the value of the Inventory of that product. In addition, the output should display the value of the entire Inventory.

Inventory Program

July 13th, 2009 Comments off

Part 1.
Choose a product that lends itself to an inventory (for example, products at your workplace, office supplies, music CDs, DVD movies, or software).
* Create a product class that holds the item number, the name of the product, the number of units in stock, and the price of each unit. *Create a Java application that displays the product number, the name of the product, the number of units in stock, the price of each unit, and the value of the inventory (the number of units in stock multiplied by the price of each unit). Pay attention to the good programming practices in the text to ensure your source code is readable and well documented.
* Post as an attachment in java format.

Part 2.
Modify the Inventory Program so the application can handle multiple items. Use an array to store the items. The output should display the information one product at a time, including the item number, the name of the product, the number of units in stock, the price of each unit, and the value of the inventory of that product. In addition, the output should display the value of the entire inventory.
* Create a method to calculate the value of the entire inventory.
* Create another method to sort the array items by the name of the product.
* Post as an attachment in java format.

Part 3.
Modify the Inventory Program by creating a subclass of the product class that uses one additional unique feature of the product you chose (for the DVDs subclass, you could use movie title, for example). In the subclass, create a method to calculate the value of the inventory of a product with the same name as the method previously created for the product class. The subclass method should also add a 5% restocking fee to the value of the inventory of that product.
* Modify the output to display this additional feature you have chosen and the restocking fee.
* Post as an attachment in java format.

Part 4.
Modify the Inventory Program to use a GUI. The GUI should display the information one product at a time, including the item number, the name of the product, the number of units in stock, the price of each unit, and the value of the inventory of that product. In addition, the GUI should display the value of the entire inventory, the additional attribute, and the restocking fee.
* Post as an attachment in java format.

Part 5.
Modify the Inventory Program by adding a button to the GUI that allows the user to move to the first item, the previous item, the next item, and the last item in the inventory. If the first item is displayed and the user clicks on the Previous button, the last item should display. If the last item is displayed and the user clicks on the Next button, the first item should display.
* Add a company logo to the GUI using Java graphics classes.
* Post as an attachment in java format.

Part 6.
Modify the Inventory Program to include an Add button, a Delete button, and a Modify button on the GUI. These buttons should allow the user to perform the corresponding actions on the item name, the number of units in stock, and the price of each unit. An item added to the inventory should have an item number one more than the previous last item.
* Add a Save button to the GUI that saves the inventory to a C:datainventory.dat file.
* Use exception handling to create the directory and file if necessary.
* Add a search button to the GUI that allows the user to search for an item in the inventory by the product name. If the product is not found, the GUI should display an appropriate message. If the product is found, the GUI should display that product

Follow Gambler Site

May 23rd, 2009 Comments off

Follow concept

Background:
There’s tons of sports betting sites on the net – espcially in EU. It varies from top professional sites like Bet24, 888.com and bwin.com to minor amature sites. Some users are very good at beting on sport bets – some top gamblers actually out perform Bet24, 888.com etc. in the long run due their sport-insight. The philosophy of this site, is to allow ordinary players to “follow” these expert/top gamblers – enabling normal players to place the same bets as the top gamblers.

Measuring in “Units”:
Skill based betting on the internet is often meassured in “units”, instead of a fixed and absolute currency/value. Using “units” as measurements for the gamblers skill-level, ensures a good and realistic rating.

Introduction:
How the “follow gambler” concept should work….
The new user deposit an amount (from 10$ to 1000$) to a depot on the site. The user can then choose how much a “Unit” is (1$ to 100$). The user can choose to follow any other user (refered to as “gambler”). It is the gambler who decides how many units to be played (from 1 to 10).
Example: A gambler bets 3-units on away win for Man.C vs. Bolton – this will automatically have all his followers to bet 3 units – meaning that e.g. users having 5$ as the unit, will bet 15$ on away win for Man.C vs. Bolton.

Who are the “gamblers”?
The gamblers on the site are “pro gamblers”, meaning that ordinary users cannot become gamblers. This will ensure that only skillful
gamblers are being followed. Each gambler shall have a “blog”-like area, where basic informations about the gambler, stats, images etc can be put. Further more, comments to the bets made will be posted here, allowing other users to see why this bet is good.

Depot:
A simple page with a track history for all earnings/loss’s and who the user has followed.
The users should always be allowed re-deposit his money. A small fee (configurable) will be charged for this.

Requirements:
Betting strategy…
At the gamblers page, bets will be registrered – each game needs to be registered min. 2 days in advance. 1 day prior to the match begins, the followers are still allowed to abandon the specific bet.
After that period of time, the game is “locked” and the followers depots will be deduced with the correct unit amount. The bet can now be placed at the best betsite.
When the match is done, the Administrator will update the match with the actual result – after the result update, all followers will have their depots updated.

E-mail notifications:
When the gambler makes a bet, the followers should receive an email with an overview of the match (playing teams, odds, match time, gamblers-comments to the match, basic stats) – plus a visible option to “refuse to follow this match”. This will allow the followers to easily abandon the specific bet.
When a match is ended and the final result is ready, an email should be sent out to all the followers with the finial result + earnings/loss and total amount avivable in the users depot.

Roles at the site:
3 different user roles are defined:
1.) Gambler, the role that normal players are “following”.
2.) Player, the role that are following the gamblers – these are the “normal users”.
3.) Administrators, the role that actually makes the bet for all the users at the betting sites and update the results.

The Gambler login area:
Only Administrators will be allowed to create a new “Gambler” account.
In this area, the gamblers can choose what bets to make. Besides deciding what bets to make, the gambler can comment on the bets – these comments will be displayed as feeds at the frontpage.
All bets are made in units (1 to 10).
The gambler shall be allowed to upload profile images and update/edit his profile text at his login area.
Gamblers shall be able to see how much money they have earned/lost for their followers – their personal revenue will be dependent on this number (% of the revenue they have made for thier followers).

The Player (players are also refered to as “followers” ) login area:
This page is for all the “normal users” – the player can deposit/withdraw money to his depot, see all transactions, see stats (bets made, win/loss etc), change email/password etc.
Like in the email notification, it shall be possible to abandon a specific match if the timelimie is not exceeded (1 day prior to the game).

The Administration login area:
This is the page where the Administrator can see what bets to place for the gamblers and all its followers. The bets are being sum’ed up and the total amount to place for each bet, are shown on this page.
The Administrator page is also used for updating the finial result of the bets. The Administrators will be responsible for updating the correct results for all the bets.
The Administrators shall be allowed to add feeds to the frontpage – enabling them to do comments like the gamblers. This ensures the adminstrators to communicate with the players.
Simple stats like: “Todays revenue for the site”, “Todays revenue for the followers” etc. should be displayed at this Administrator login page.

The default area (not logged in):
- Front page: 1.) The front page will show what bets are in play today. 2.) A top-10 of all gamblers 2a.) What gamblers whom has most followers 3.) A general stat that teases like: “If you had deposit 100$ 3 months ago, and followed the 3 top gamblers, you would have 234$ by now!” 4.) Bet feeds from all the gambles (comments on the bets) 5.) Stats from the last 10 bets.
- Gambler page (when clicking on a gambler): 1.) A profile image is shown 2.) A profile description is shown 3.) A stat of all the bets made by the gambler. 4.) A stat of the last 10 bets made.
- Match page (when clicked on a match): Will show what gamblers are playing on that specific match. Besides showing what bets are being made for that match, comments(feeds) from the Gamblers should be shown here.

Revenue model for “gamblers”:
Gamblers will be legally forced to do the betting them self. Gamblers generating a positive revenue will be rewarded with a (configurable) x% in kick-back from its followers. Gamblers generating a negative revenue for its followers, will not generate any kick-back. The more followers, the more revenue can be earned for the Gamblers – this will truely encurage the Gamblers to promote a followship of thier bettings. This can eventually become a living for the very good betters.

Revenue model for the site:
Everytime a gambler makes a succesfully bet, and the followers makes money – a small (configurable) fee will be charged from the followers.

FAQ:
Q: Will normal players be able to create a profile?
A: No

Q: Can a player follow more than 1 gambler?
A: Yes

Q: Who are the Administrators?
A: To begin with, its the owners of the site.

Q: Should the “deposit money” system be included in system?
A: Preferably yes, but its not a requirement

Q: What happens if a match is not played or the result is vague?
A: The administrator should be allowed to mark a game as “void” – ensuring all the followers of the match to not loose/win the match.

Q: Is it possible to follow 2 gamblers that bets on the same match with different result? (e.g. home and away win)
A: Yes – however its possible for the player to abandon a specific match if he wants to

Q: Is it the Administrators who decides when a new Gamblers is to be added?
A: Yes

Q: What is the revenue-model for the site?
A: A small fee (configurable) of all positive-revenue-generating-for-the-players bets will be charged.

Sportsbook Member Forum Site

READ CAREFULLY !!! (As this is not a real sportsbook.) This needs to be EXACTLY as described

CMS can be:

Joomla (w/ or without Community Builder)
Xoops
Drupal
.. Or any other popular CMS application

Forum Can be:
PHPBB
SMF
Or any forum board bridged with CMS (e.g. Joomla w/ Agora 3.0)

Now please read what I need:

Basically this is simple (I’ll explain the complexities further down.)

I need a normal community/member website but with the following:

Members accounts have a pick section. NFL, NCAA, NBA to start (maybe other sports can be added later.)

Members make picks AGAINST THE SPREAD based off of current lines of the sportbook I provide (if you can’t hook up to lines feed, I’ll accept a script were I can manually put in and grade later.)

Games of sport should be automatically fed (as with a sportsbook script.)

Members track record is recorded w/ and viewable in their profile w/ AGAINTS THE SPREAD RECORD. Including Vigor/Juice Record. 110/100

For Example:
John Doe
NFL Record (51-49-0) 51% +10.25 Units
NCAA Record (75-25-0) 75% +15.75 Units
NBA Record (50-50-0) 50% -5.5 Units
Overall Record: 55.25%
Plus 20 Units (or can be -units as well depending on their pick record)

SO THE EASIEST WAY TO EXPLAIN THIS IS I NEED A MEMBER SITE W/ MESSAGE BOARD W/ TRACKING CAPABILITIES OF AGAINST THE SPREAD (LINE) PICKS THAT THE MEMBERS MAKE VIA MY SITE.

I’ll happily answer any questions. Please don’t bid if you can’t (or even understand) the job.

I prefer Joomla !!!!!!!!

Ups Shipping Rate

May 9th, 2009 Comments off

Need help with what is sure to be a simple project. We have purchased an ASP based application that returns the shipping cost for a given weight, based on where it is being sent to. I know enough to have been able to hardcode several of the variable fields that will never change for us. I have the base code, current version is http://bbqnfools.com/wholesale/ups/ups_realtime.asp

Here are the modifications that need to be made:

1) Need to add a reset button that zeros out the following-
State Field (Field name: receiverstateprovincecode)
Postal Code Field (Field name: receiverpostalcode)
All unit amounts
Shipment Weight (shipmentweight)

2) Need to be able to set a unique number to be multiplied by the number of units input for each item. Each item needs to have its own unique number availbable for this. This will be the weight of the item itself, which would then be multiplied by the number of units entered.

3) The shipment weight should calculate the total weight of what has been calculated by multiplying the input field by the unique number mentioned above (which is the weight of each unit). In other words, if there are 2 units of 4 different items, it should calculate the total weight. The total weight needs to go into the “shipmentweight” variable, for when the Submit button is pressed to send to UPS for a rate quote.

4) The shipment weight box does not need to update on the fly. As is, it should display what amount of pounds where sent to UPS for the quote, when the quote is providedc by UPS. There should be no need to adjust anything there, so I’m mentioning it for understanding of expectations.

I know enough about all of this to make small changes, and I know the changes I still need will be simple for someone used to working with ASP… it’s just beyond my realm of knowledge.

Follow Gambler Site

April 28th, 2009 Comments off

Follow concept

Background:
There’s tons of sports betting sites on the net – espcially in EU. It varies from top professional sites like Bet24, 888.com and bwin.com to minor amature sites. Some users are very good at beting on sport bets – some top gamblers actually out perform Bet24, 888.com etc. in the long run due their sport-insight. The philosophy of this site, is to allow ordinary players to “follow” these expert/top gambleres – enabling normal players to place the same bets and the top gamblers.

Measuring in “Units”:
Skill based betting on the internet is often meassured in “units”, instead of a fixed and absolute currency/value. Using “units” as measurements for the gamblers skill-level, ensures a good and realistic rating.

Introduction:
How the “follow gambler” should work….

1 day prior to the game, the followers are still allowed to abandon the specific bet.
After that period of time, the game is “locked” and the followers depots will be deduced with the correct unit amount. The bet can now be placed at the best betsite.
When the match is done, the Gambler can update the match with the actual result – all followers will have their depots updated if Gambler won the bet, otherwise no depot movements will be made.

E-mail notifications:
When the gambler makes a bet, the followers should receive an email with an overview of the match (playing teams, odds, match time, gamblers-comments to the match, basic stats) – plus a very visible option to “refuse to follow this match”. This allows the followers to easily abandon the specific bet.
When a match is ended and the final result is ready, an email should be sent out to all the followers with the finial result + earnings/loss and total amount avivable in the users depot.

Roles at the site:
3 different user roles are defined:
1.) Gambler, the role that normal players are “following”.
2.) Player, the role that are following the gamblers – these are the “normal users” with an account on the site.
3.) Administrators, the role that actually makes the bet for all the users at the betting sites.

The Gambler login area:
Only Administrators will be allowed to create new “Gambler” accounts.

The Player (players are also refered to as “followers” )login area:
This page is for all the “normal users” – the player can deposit/withdraw money to his depot, see all transactions, see stats (bets made, win/loss etc), change email/password etc.
Like in the email notification, it shall be possible to abandon a specific match if the timelimie is not exceeded in the Player login area. (1 day prior to the game)

This ensures that adminstrators can communicate with the players.

Gamblers generating negative revenue for its followers, will not generate any kick-back. The more followers, the more revenue can be earned for the Gamblers – this will truely encurage the Gamblers to promote a followship of thier bettings. This can eventually become a living for the very good betters.

Revenue model for the site:
Everytime the gambler makes a succesfully bet, and the followers makes money – a small (configurable) fee will be charged from the followers.

Inventory Program Part 1

April 10th, 2009 Comments off

I am having a lot of trouble in this class and as of right now I am failing. Can someone help me out, here are the instructions on what has to be done.

Choose a product that lends itself to an inventory (for example, products at your workplace, office supplies, music CDs, DVD movies, or software).
Create a product class that holds the item number, the name of the product, the number of units in stock, and the price of each unit.
Create a Java application that displays the product number, the name of the product, the number of units in stock, the price of each unit, and the value of the inventory (the number of units in stock multiplied by the price of each unit). Pay attention to the good programming practices in the text to ensure your source code is readable and well documented.

When i try to compile my java program it says it has two errors and it wont compile with the two errors heres the code

import java.util.Scanner;
import java.util.Arrays;
import java.util.Collections;

public class Inventory {

public static void main(String args []) {
//create new object
DVD mydvd = new DVD();
//create and intialize arrayof products
DVD[] prodArray = new DVD[6];
prodArray[0] = new DVD(“Action”,15,59,22.00);
prodArray[1] = new DVD(“Westerns”,26,68,16.00);
prodArray[2] = new DVD(“Drama”,22, 71, 15.00);
prodArray[3] = new DVD(“Comedy”,33, 50, 19.00);
prodArray[4] = new DVD(“Sci-Fi”,66, 42, 14.00);

the comment my teacher left was:
Hi Blanche. Your program did not compile or run. I was not able to test your
program. However, I did try to award partial credit by reading the code. The
assignment required you to create a separate class to store some product. The
inventory class should use the set methods to store the information into the
product class and use the get methods to retrieve the information from the
product class. It looks like your program is mostly correct. Your program did
not compile because your file name does not match the class name.
