AuthorsTrack is a static website. I would like to bring it to the next level. more dynamic, more like an application.

The heart of the website is events listing. Currently I am updating the website manually, fixing the code via html and such. However I would like my new site to be database driven. I would like to stop updating my website manually and importing my data via an excel spreadsheet.

another big component of this website is the venue page. the venue page are pages that contain detailed information about each venue. there are about 200+ venue pages, all static on my website and all have general type of information. I would like the ability to fix and add more venue page to this area of the website.

the reason for the venue page creation was to help the visitor to find out more about the particular venue hosting the event. it contain data like address, a cool google map for them to use and photo of the venue.

I would like the events information to connect with the venue data information. Any events that are happening at this venue should show up in the core database and the venue itself, linking the two together.

I would also like to have a BRAND new area for Authors too, in the same concept as the venue page. the author would have a stand alone page for themself and would be save forever within the database confinde. It will also be created on the fly via an excel spreadsheet.

I WOULD LIKE THE SITE TO LOOK THE SAME AS IT IS NOW. i ONLY NEED BACK END WORK. THE LOOKS OF THE WEBSITE SHOULD BE LIKE IT IS NOW.

I am setting up a local events and entertainment business listings website being developed with Joomla 1.5 on a virtual host using a jumpbox package –> (is this a problem for coders??!) The site is for my college final project / dissertation.

I am willing to pay fairly for the project, on the condition that the coder is certain they will be able to deliver. Please provide a quote and timescale.

This is a joomla 1.5 code/plugin request for integration between:

1. Event host extension : ‘Eventlist’ (www.schlu.net)
2. Business directory extension : ‘SOBI2′ (www.sigsiu.net/sobi2.html)

I am hoping to find someone with past experience coding integration between SOBI2 and Eventlist. I’m sure there must be someone out there who has dealt with a similar request in the past.

Design Brief for SOBI/Eventlist Integration:

* The SOBI2 business listings need to be used for selectable venues when adding a new event instead of Eventlist’s built in venues database. (Preferably keeping SOBI2s top categories in order (not so fussed about sub-categories – but if either is possible then it would make me a very happy man.)
* An eventlist should show up on all SOBI2 listings for businesses that have listed events in eventlist – (Preferably this would be part of the SOBI2 entry detailed view as opposed to a link to a seperate events view)
* Venue titles in all events entries should link to SOBI2 listings. The only thing i want eventlist to keep track of is events and their eventlist category. All detail fields should link directly to SOBI, and any custom fields I add into SOBI should be publishable. (So in the detailed view for a single event, the fields for the venue details come from SOBI.)
* Please note I am also using a calendar module made by qivva (http://extensions.qivva.com) for eventlist and I would hope that this would still function after the integration is complete.

Please let me know if jumpbox is a problem! When it comes to installing the project on my site, i will have to send a backup or do it myself.

Im not sure if the calendar will be a problem, it might need a way to map to the sobi listings as the venue. (I think it will just be a case of changing the venue reference in the code – Although im far from an expert on these matters!!)

Please let me know if what I am trying to do is breaking copyright – I wouldn’t want to do anything dodgy.

I would hope to be updated of progress and rough predicted timeline.
