Need 2d Animation (30 To 60 Seconds)

October 24th, 2011 Comments off

I need a short animation created of my character. I’d rather have 3d but, I can start with 2d for now. I will provide the script.

Here’s the idea:

The screen will be black and you’ll hear the character in the background. She will wipe the screen and then begin talking to the screen as if she’s talking to a webcam. She will then hear her mom calling her, smile, and then run off.

Attached is an image of the character and her bedroom.

Single Page – Pointer On The Screen

Actinic Template

August 17th, 2009 Comments off

I am looking for a Actinic version 9 template. The basis of the website is Survival products. I am looking for the following designs.

Home Page.
Frame across the top of the page, a selection of upto 5 locations scenes (Sandy desert, picturesque Mediterranean ocean scheme, remote snow scheme, jungle and mountain scheme). This would be mirrored on every page. Also need a frame for my company logo

Product lists on left side of the screen.
New Products left side of the screen
Best Seller products right hand side
Banner on left hand side of the screen for Security banner as well as Credit cards accepted (VisaMaster Card, Solo, Maestro, Switch, Amex etc).
Main page will cycle top 5 new products, these needs to be editable through actinic application. So I can add new products as needed.
Top right of the home page will be the cart.

Along the top of the screen will be SearchHomeContact UsAbout UsCheckoutCustomer Comments and Terms and conditions, these should be basic Actinic functions.

A good example of a Actinic website is http://alturl.com/6j8u. This home page is on the right track to what I want.

Product pages.
The following product design is nearly exactly what I’m looking for
http://alturl.com/mpbt
The product page is clean and precise. I am funder mentally looking for two main options.
1. from the product Frame on the home page. Click on a Product group. For example tents. This needs to display a new page. (Not pop up or non bordered page) This page will have a thumbnail of all the tents in the range. Limited information. 20 words max. (for example: Vango 2 man tent) ,Add to cart for each item. all products need to be displayed horizontally across the screen. (Not very big), this can be displayed in as many vertical lines down the screen as necessary.
Click on the Image and this will display a new page in the original frame. i.e. the products and top products down both sides as with all pages.

The detailed product needs to mirror the below site with the following changes.
http://www.rei.com/product/778468
Tab view is essential.
Tabs needed 4
Names: DescriptionSpecsReviewsCustomer Reviews
Available Images and video link are also needed.
Please advice on the Image sizes needed for the product pages, and thumbnails.
Most importantly, this needs to be completely compatible with actinic version 9. This is so I can add new products when requested.

Generate Screenshots

I have Linux environment. Looking for a developer that understands the internet. I cannot support a .Net solution.

A need a webservice created. The webservice will need to:

–Crawl the web and capture the screens of a website as an image
–Write the transcript (URL links)
–Hide my IP address (anonymizer)
–save the images to a file
–The solutions needs to process 500 screenshots or more.
–The solutions needs to very fast
–I need a UI to display each screenshot by domain name
–The UI can be done in HTML or Ajax
–Save the results in a MYSQL or Postgres database
–Source code have comments/notes

User story:
Use enters a 1 domain name or 500 domain names
The user press the process button
These names are same into a text file
The system read this read this file and generate the screens.
The screen are being save (by domain name) to mysql or a file directory..
The user is able to check the status real time (e.g if the user has requested 100 screenshots and 75 has been generated this display the 25 left on the screen)

The UI:
Allow the user to enter 1 or 500 domain names
Display the process (statics) of the screen being generated
Allow the user to view the results (screenshots)
Display as thumbnail then enlarge

Screensaver From Existing Swf

July 28th, 2009 Comments off

This project is to take an existing swf animation, edit it, and create a screensaver from it.

The swf is 60 megs, and it will have to be brought down to a reasonable size. Of course, 60 megs is too big to upload here, but I have attached a wmv movie, so you can see what it looks like.

The theme is “Entering the Light”.

There are many softwares that will convert an swf animation to a screensaver, but this one needs some editing, as well as conversion.

It shows a simple effect. A light grows until it almost fills the screen, and then cycles down back to a small point.

The screensaver will have the light fill the screen. Then the screen will fade to black.

The screensaver will have to have a configuration dialog that will control how fast these things happen, as well as how long it shows a completely black screen. The user may or may not have access to the config dialog, but it will be needed while we work on it.

If you know how to create screen savers and how to edit swf files, this should be easy for you. I would prefer that the finished screensaver be a standalone app, though I don’t mind if it needs a setup (I can do that, but I might need you to help).

I have posted projects in the past that got bids in the thousands, but were completed for just a few dollars. Please be competitive in your bidding.

Completing the project will include submitting the source codes.

Todo List / Goal Planner

June 28th, 2009 Comments off

I am developing a 2do list goal setting planner, with a graphic user interface (The Important Bit). I have created a very basic version of what I’m looking for in Microsoft Excel, but want it all put together as a web based application and/or a stand alone software program.

I have attached screen shots to show you what I’m looking for.

Here is how it should work.

There are 5 separate screens needed

Screen1
This is the main screen where tasks are input and delegated to the different 2do list screens, using the tick boxes.

Screen2
This is the list of tasks for the user to do “that day” and priorities are set.

Screen3
This is the list of tasks for the user to delegate to someone else to do.

Screen4
This is the screen for tasks to be put over to the next day

Screen5
Now this is the screen that will take the most work.
It is a “5 day intuitive planner”, allowing the user to place tasks by dragging and dropping coloured task boxes on to the planning grid.

Default task boxes are created for each task from the users 2Do list (screen2)and displayed at the top of the screen.

Selecting a task in the row of tasks allows the user to set Start time End time or Length of task, then user can allocate the day for the task to be done or just drag the task into the grid.

The ACTUAL TIME SLIDER allows the user to move the times the current task has taken due to interruptions etc, tasks planned after the current task are then pushed over to the finish time of the current task, tasks taken past the end of the working day are pushed to the next day. this carries through the rest of the week and tasks pushed over the end of the week are set to the next priority and sent back to screen1 to be planned again the following week.

The program needs to be flexible enabling the user to move tasks around surrounding tasks at will readjusting the planned weeks work.

The program will ALSO need an options menu to set task categories, working week and working hours etc

I have other ideas to develop this program in the future so being able to add other elements is vital.

I would like to work with someone who speaks very good English, and who I can speak to personally as this project will need explaining in detail both written and verbal.

I look forward to your bids

Kind Regards

Richard Thorne

Portfolio / Gallery Program

June 19th, 2009 Comments off

I am looking for a portfolio / gallery program to add to my website. we will be using this in our stores as well as on the web to display examples of our work. I have attached a file of what I am looking for. I would need to be able to add unlimited sub galleries to main gallery. i would want a permanent Copyright notice on the screen. I would need a request button on the screen that would take them to an inquiry form the customer could fill out and when the send button was pressed it would email me. I want the thumbnails to always stay on the screen below the selection. I would like a zoom feature. View statistics would be nice. this is much like the galleries at big black bag dot com. the website we will be adding this to is whiplashtees.com I can provide any graphics need for the website. I will need a user friendly admin panel. I want downloads blocked.

Prototype Of “lg E-learning”

May 23rd, 2009 Comments off

Important note:
I will be using LG as a project name, however it does not imply in any way any association with the Korean electronics giant. I want everybody to be clear because some had inquired about it. NO RELATION.

LG in it’s simplest form is just a quiz-like interactive learning software. LG asks a question and user responses. The asking and responses are done in a number of possible formats: text, graphical, video, or voice. If the response is voice (it’s established beforehand what kind of response to expect) LG will record it for a specified and limited amount of time. The scope of this PROTOTYPE PROJECT is only limited to voice response.

In relation to my other project (LG e-learning website), which is actually the same project, I will simplify my requirements so that it will only include limited functionality and serve as a demo-version/prototype. It will serve to demonstrate the following aspects:
- It displays exercise questions and records student’s answer in an efficient manner. No noticeable delay in between. i.e. At the end of a question the program will automatically turn to recording mode and instantly ready to record the student’s answer. It would help to have an “ON AIR” red-light that comes on the screen to signal that recording has started. At the end of the time limit the “ON AIR” light goes out and recording is stopped.
- How well you design the interface. Rule of thumb, simple is better. So a 7-or-67-year-old can get right on it with little difficulties.
- Ample space between items, big buttons for use with touch screen interface.
- Use of color to give a nice consistent theme throughout the design. At the same time use it sparingly, or in other words, only when you want to signify something or draw attention to a certain item/part of the screen. Remember, it’s education, contemporary/contrast (as opposed to classic/old, subdued, dimmed), clean straightforward letters, bright (white background is ALMOST a must).
- How well you utilize the screen real-estate especially when it comes to the teacher grading screen. As a mentioned in the other project’s post, the teacher screen must be very efficent and highly functional to accomodate the workload of grading a vast number of students’ exercise. As this is just a prototype you can just mock-up some icons and explain what they do (better yet, self-explanatory) without having to program anything into it. However (YOU MUST PROGRAM) the listening to students’ answers and be able to assign a right/wrong tag to it MUST BE DONE and be fully working. Again here, I will see how fast your code is responding as such that, human-operator is the limiting factor as far as speed is concerned.
- Anything else beyond the above-mentioned will be left upon your discretion as well as creativity as seasoned programmers tend to incorporate their signature into and take pride in their work. I trust that you will deliver above and beyond expectation. Happy Bidding FOR PROTOYPE ONLY.

Surround Sound Controller

May 20th, 2009 Comments off

Surround Sound Controller

background:

Surround Sound is what puts sound effects and ambiance noise in the rear channels in a movie theater, like stereo but with a left and right rear. Surround Sound often includes a subwoofer which is designated as a .x with x being the number of subs; usually one.

Product:

The product that needs a program is a half dome carbon fiber foot pedal. The hardware includes an accelerometer. The accelerometer is a tilt sensor and in this case will cover both left/right and front/back tilt. The name accelerometer comes from the sensing of the acceleration due to change in direction/inertia or G (gravity)

Program:

This is where you come in. I will send a prototype to you upon winning the bid via priority mail. The prototype hooks up to the computer with a mini usb. The firmware of the sensor outputs as a mouse. So you’ve basically got the worlds most awkward mouse to use as a starting place for the control program. That’s where it starts.
1.)

From there the pedal needs a calibration program to run smoothly. The mouse usually scroll up slower than down. To do that will be like calibrating a joystick but a lot different. Because the extremes of how far its tilting only show up in how fast the mouse moves not how far it moves it has to be different than a joystick where you show it all the corners of the screen. It scroll up slower than down. There needs to be a way to fix that. This may be a really heavy task. You may have to get into the very essence of what mice do on a computer. Dig deep and you should find it. After all they were invented by a couple guys in a garage as far as this is concerned. (2 days to trick out the input from the mouse)

2. The next big step is to learn about encoding surround sound. There are many ways to do it. If a open source site says they can help you with DTS than go ahead and pick that, if you find something that will help you encode in Dolby Surround 5.1 then go for it. It does however need to be in a common format. (2 day to research it and get a program ready to encode it)

3. Now we need to make it encode to which ever speakers the mouse is in on the screen. Top of the screen: front channel, bottom: rear channels, bottom left: rear left. That easy, but the tough part is the middle is all of them; so further down is more isolated toward the rear. To do this you will need to think of it as a grid. O,O is the center of the imaginary grid. Negative X is left, negative y is down, just like math class. You will need to be good at graphs and algebra to complete the project. If it were 10 +- in all directions then -5 for x and 5 for y would be a mix of the left speakers and front speakers or the left. All the way to the top or 0 for x and 10 for y would put it in the center channel. 0,0 or the middle of the screen is all of the speakers at once. It should smoothly transition this way just like the THX intro. Full back (bottom screen with the mouse) to full forward (top of the screen with the mouse) will actually do that effect. Doesn’t need to be super elaborate. If the computer gives you pixels or what not just cut it into 5+- in each axis. No biggy wouldn’t help make it any cooler. (2 days for this part)

4. At this point we’ve taken the mouse input and tricked it out to run smoothly like a Ferrari. We’ve done the prep to get the sound encoded into 5.1. Now we need to interface with I/O’s and there software. This part is overwhelming at first but there are only about 3 popular brands of I/Os. Oops an I/o is an input output for audio and computers. They take keyboard, mic, guitar inputs and give them to the computer for it’s programs. They also output and in this case we will use a surround sound receiver ( check one out at Buy.com if you are unfamiliar) but often times they output to headphones or the computer speakers.
The sound will come in through the I/O after the mic, guitar, etc. Then we need to encode it with the pedal and send it right back out with the I/O to the surround sound receiver. == Hey what if I want to use cubase? or garage band. The answer is to keep it simple this go around and be sure it works. If the program is tight, they have a good computer and a smart I/O it should be possible to loop it back around again. It may take two computers but I suspect not. So you can’t use you computer for effects, and synth. Not the worst compromise and something for future consideration.
(2 days it really needs to work at this point and all bugs need to be out)

That’s the project, I need it in eight working days (weekends not included which gets you a break if it’s racking your brain)

Wait what language:

It needs to run on a Mac or a PC. Many music users use Macs. I know they don’t have the majority, despite making very nice computers, yet due to the nature of the customer it needs to work on a mac, no exceptions. And a real stand alone program, not a web app. This isn’t happening online, and I know many of you great web designers may hate that but I am sure if you are as good as your reputations than you are ready to translate.

My Background:

I am a total novice in programing. I can not offer more than theoretical help. I programed in Basic back in elementary school. This is my first company and my first product. If you work in a group fine I really don’t mind. I need it in 8 working days.

Checkups:

Write me to let me know how you are doing. Don’t be afraid to tell me the neat stuff you learn in the process. I love all kinds of knowledge and really wish I knew how to program. You have my utmost respect. So please share. You also need to make progress reports to me, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about you or don’t like you. It doesn’t mean I don’t want you to have a life. But I do need the work as promised.

Iphone Game App

March 24th, 2009 No comments

Overview:

This game is a word game. Players are presented with a short jumbled phrase and must use all of the letters to make a different phrase. There will be 5 different clues available for each puzzle that the player can use. The game will be played in rounds. Each round is made up of 10 puzzles. If the player’s score reaches a pre-determined threshold they trigger a bonus game at the end of the round. Scoring is based on time taken to solve the puzzles, number of clues used and score from the bonus game.

This game will use the iPhone screen in a horizontal orientation.

At the outset we are looking to get a single edition developed along with a ‘lite’ version for free download. The subsequent editions will use the same exact style of gameplay but will feature slightly different graphics, sound and will have a different database of puzzles.

We are looking for a quote on the full version and a companion lite version of a single edition. The ideal candidate will also be able to develop a facebook application of the same game at a later date.

Game Play:

The object of this game will be for the players to unscramble the puzzle in the shortest time possible using the least amount of clues.

After seeing the title screen of the game players are presented with their first puzzle. The puzzle phrase will occupy the top half of the game screen. Down the right hand size of the screen will be the icons for the 5 different clues. The bottom half of the screen will have spaces for the answer phrase.

Each letter of the puzzle phrase at the top of the screen will be on it’s own individual tile. In the answer area there will be slots for the tiles to drop into. Looking at the slots in the answer area the player will be able to see how many words are in the answer phrase and how many letters are in each word. Players are then able to touch the tiles and drag them to an slot in the answer area. After they have dragged a tile to the answer area the letter will still be lightly visible in it’s original space in the puzzle phrase.

When all of the tiles are in their appropriate slots in the answer area the game will recognize the puzzle is solved and will move the player onto the next puzzle.

Clues:

There will be a total of 5 clues available to assist the player in solving the puzzle. Some of the clues will place tiles in their correct slots. Others will display hints about answer itself. Unused clues are used as multipliers on the player’s score

Timer & Scoring:

Player’s scores are based on how long it takes them to solve the puzzle and how many clues they use. When a puzzle starts the players have an amount of points. When the timer reaches a predetermined threshold points are deduced from the player’s score at the rate of 2 per second. Their final score is the number of points multiplied by the number of unused clues.

Bonus Game:

The bonus game appears at the end of the round if the player has reached a predetermined scoring threshold.

In the bonus game a phrase appears and players have to make as many words as they can from the letters in that phrase. The words are entered in using the iPhone touch keyboard. Words must be 3 letters or longer. Points are scored for each letter of every accepted word.

Screens:

The game will be comprised of the following screens:

- Welcome screen
- Puzzle screen
- Bonus game screen
- Point total screen

Additionally the lite version will have an ad page for purchase of the full version.

Graphics & Sound:

We will provide all of the graphics and sound for the game.

Database:

The full version of the game will have a database of 300 puzzles. Each puzzle has 3 different scrambled phrases making for thousands of unique games. Additionally the database includes the clues relevant to that particular puzzle.

The lite version will have a database of 15 puzzles.

We will provide the database in the specific format needed for development.

Graphics Needed For Program

March 16th, 2009 No comments

I need some images created in a “cartoon” or “animated” style. They are not to be life-like, but drawings. This is for a student software project.

I need some images to be animations. Frame by frame PNG files. Either separate files in separate folders, or a single file with the frames spaced out so that they can be cropped in the program.

I need animated images of:

* A cute/fluffy baby seal shooting towards the screen as it would from a cannon. Either rolling in a ball, or flailing about. The perspective is to be from “far away” in the screen to “close” in the screen.
* Another of the same seal then going the other way from “close” to “far” as it would as hit by a bat.
* A front view of a cannon at the same “distance” into the screen as where the seal is to be shot from
* A cartoon explosion that will come from the cannon before the seal is shot from the cannon. It is just a few fast frames of a sharp pointy polygon with different colours like yellow/red/orange to show a very cartoony fireball/explosion
* An animation of a baby seal going splat… It doesnt need to be very gory, but it will be launched onto a gameboard and when it hits the flat board, then it will go splat into some blood and begin streaking down. Again not too gory, the blood can be red like normal or blue if that makes you feel better. :)
* An animation of a club and/or baseball bat just moving back and forth a little bit like what players do when waiting for the ball to be thrown and then another animation of the bat swinging “into” the screen There should be 4 user player images holding the club/bat, so this will actually be 4 separate animations (8 including the back and forth and the actual swing). The players should be a penguin, polar bear, whale, and moose. The characters should be standing. So the moose, penguin and polar bear will stand on 2 legs and use their flippers/paws for the club/bat. The whale will balance on its tail and use its flippers for the club/bat. The player image should move a little bit with the bat/club moving back and forth. So it is not pervfectly still, sort of fidgeting.
* A gameboard. It should have spaces for 36 semi-3d looking tiles. Each tile should have a value 1-6 printed on it in a shiny/transparent way. They should glimmer/glisten a bit. The gameboard should be square and 6×6.

Overview of the game so you get a better idea of what animations are needed:
The user will move the player image with the club/bat around the bottom of the screen and the baby seals will be launched out of a cannon towards the player. The player will then need to time their swing to hit the seal so it flies towards the gameboard. Whichever tile the seal hits it goes splat. This will finally be used to calculate the dice score for a game of Yahtzee. It is a student project, and we are programmers not graphic artists. The clubbing baby seals is a large joke among the younger audience and even more so of a joke within our university. So we aren’t being violent for no reason, it is a senior project where the programmers want to have some fun with the class/professor! :)

Some examples of the animation style would be:
The penguins/polar bear (NOT seal): http://www.portraitsbyjessperna.com/images/Illos/Penguin_Cartoon.jpg
General Cartoon: http://scrumptious.animeblogger.net/images/season_preview/2007_fall/pururun_shizuku_chan.jpg
Penguin: http://adam.t.bull.googlepages.com/CARTOON_Penguin.jpg/CARTOON_Penguin-full.jpg
Love this penguin: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/illustrations-vectors/987151-penguins.php?id=987151

General Style: http://uploads.ungrounded.net/285000/285267_ultimateshowdown.swf

Notice the exaggerated black outlines that dont match all the way around. Sort of like purposely overlapping as if they were drawn sketch style, but not… So nothing fancy pants, but something along those lines. I am sure I will need to clarify more so send me a question if you need me to.

The overall feel should be ironic. Meaning if you notice the background how it is very happy and sunshine/rainbows, it will be the backdrop to a bit of gore. It should have a “Happy Tree Friends”-esque feel to it. http://api.ning.com/files/5u1wRMAd8mJZ*NAdavENOOklJ5ECSiKk3hjFSewLP0IOzdb3TG9UeMkxrhk9-MK*Dmuv1Em2r-tTliThttfIaDvRu*Lk6hJH/HappyTreeFriends.jpg

That image is a good example of the moose I am looking for too.

It is hard to explain what I am looking for, but if you have any examples of your drawing style that might help me to see what you are capable of. The images do NOT have to be original, you can reuse what you have or find, but the style needs to match and I need to use them in a school project so copyright must allow that.

The background for the program is this image (or something very similar): http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/concepts-and-ideas/time/2544072-happy-snowman.php?id=2544072

All files should be PNG for transparency purposes.
