As part of selling an ebook online, I’d like to password protect the PDF file with part of the customers details.
e.g.
if Bob Smith buys my ebook online, I would like to password protect the PDF with bobsmith as the password (in lower case). The file would be created from the original which will live on the server and then a copy of the encrypted PDF moved to a path on the server for the customer to download. And a link to the new PDF file needs to be exposed, so I can integrate it into the auto email to the customer for them to download.

So I just want the code to do the PDF encryption and output the link to the new file, so I can grab it and use it in the auto email.

I’ve a 4 pages PDF file where I need a very small alteration.

* The website name occurs 5 times in overall PDF needs to be changed and aligned center in the PDF.

* An address to be changed only one time.

* Page 3 and 4, currently in Times New Roman Font size 8. I need it to be changed to Font size 6 and all the texts to be aligned.

The PDF is form fillable. So after these changes made, I need the PDF to be same form fillable without any trouble.

There is no design work in this project – just replicate a page I provide.

I require a pdf created on the server. It is in the form of a Certificate and the finished image must be centered on A4/US A(letter) Portrait (upright) orientation on paper when printed. It will be on one page only. We do NOT have php pdfLib installed.

I will provide a pdf to show the exact layout, spacing, fonts, colors and graphic used. The pdf your script produces must be a faithful copy of the pdf I supply.

ONLY ONE single webpage has to be created for each color as we will connect it to a CMS later ourselve.

We are building a system that will enable clients to record invoices that they have sent to their customers. The invoices will be recorded as PDF images on the database (MS SQL Server). The system will follow up, via email, invoices that are unpaid at pre-determined intervals. For example, after 1 day, the system will send email 1 (with the PDF invoice attached)to the customer. After 8 days, the system will send email 2 (again, with the PDF invoice attached) to the customer. And so on. The database will have to be updated to indicate which emails have been sent to whom. All rules concerning the intervals at which emails should be sent, the parties to whom they should be sent and the templates that should be used will be held on the database.

The routine we require will need to: a) determine whether or not an email needs to be sent in respect of an outstanding invoice b) determine which type of email should be sent and to which party c) create the email (using the appropriate template, inserting certain fields and attaching the PDF invoice from the database) d) send the email to the intended recipient and e) record the actions taken in the database.

The routine will be run overnight daily.

We will provide a detailed specification of our requirements to those programmers whose bids and credentials appear reasonable.

REQUIREMENTS:
This project is to take a book cover for a hardback book, which we have in PDF format (see attached) and to recreate that book cover in a smaller format that can be used for a paperback version of the same book. (See “Dimensions” below for the size requirements of the cover.) You must be a skilled graphic designer with experience in books/publishing. We need this book cover recreated in “press quality” PDF format. NOTE: We will provide you with the PDF of the hard cover (see attached file to this posting). I almost certain the attached PDF it is in “press quality” format, but as I am not a graphics expert, I am not 100% certain the attached PDF is “press quality.” Your work must be “press quality.” The new cover that you create must look as similar as possible to the attached PDF.

Although we have a PDF of the original cover, we do NOT have any of the underlying original graphics file that were used to create the PDF (with the exception of the main image of George Washington).

The attached PDF was used for the hardcover edition of the book. The new file that you create will be used for a paperback edition of the book. While the graphics on the front of the cover will need to look identical to those from the original PDF, the dimensions of the layout will change in accordance with the printer’s requirements (see “Dimensions” below). In addition, the inside flaps from the hardcover can be deleted and the text on the back of the book will change.

The hardback cover is attached to this project in what I believe is a “press quality” PDF.

GRAPHICS AND TEXT:
To assist you with this project, we will provide you with:

1. The PDF of the hard cover.
2. The JPG of George Washington.
3. The ISBN number and price of the book for the back cover. (See “Bar Code” below.)
4. The new text for the back cover (Microsoft Word document)
5. The JPG of the logo (needed for the spine of the book)
6. The JPGs of the photographs of the authors for the back cover

BAR CODE:
There are free services on the Internet where you can generate a bar code graphic. I will provide you with the information you need to generate a bar code from one of these services. I do not know which of these free services is reliable. I understand some of these free services produce bar codes that sometimes have difficulty getting scanned or cannot be scanned at all. If you have experience with bar codes, please state that in your bid comments or in the PMB.

WORK-FOR-HIRE:
This work will need to be performed as a work-made-for-hire. We will have full rights to the copyrights of the work you produce in this project for us.

DELIVERABLES:
At the end of the job, we would like for you to deliver:

1. One PDF containing the entire cover, per the printer’s specs above.
2. All original graphics files used to create the PDF, in case we need them for future editions of the book.
3. One PDF for our own use. This simply needs to be a cropped version of the front cover that you create, showing only the cover of the book.

URGENT PROJECT

I have a 10 page form build in Microsoft Word 2007 (Docx) that I need converted into a fillable PDF form so people can fill in the blanks and send it back into us. This should be a simple project for someone with a professional version of Adobe Acrobat. Our goal is to create something that’s very easy for our customers to print and fill out or complete directly on the form and email it back to us.

I would also be interested in turning this into a form our clients can fill out online and have it record their answers in a database. We currently have a Joomla! site and don’t do much with the MySQL or contact records section.

The user will have an XML file locally on his computer that he needs to upload and be transformed by XSL into a presentation. You find an example XML file attached that is created based on this project (the content is describing this project). The XML file is created by a MindMap application (http://mind42.com).

Before the presentation is rendered we will need to apply some extra information that is not in the XML file, so this must be collected in a form first. The information to collect is: Company name, Full name, email address and the XML file. And also a check box (see below).

To get the XML file into the solution we need a browse and upload function. The XML file, the result or the PDF file (see below) shall not be stored where this solution is hosted. No need for any “save” button etc.

Pressing the Next >> button on this form should render the XML into a presentation which must work in IE, FF and Opera.

The result must be a single document.

The presentation should have a first page (cover page) which includes the gathered information from the form (Company, email etc.) and the name of the root node. This should look like a nice formatted cover of a manual.

After the first page it should be a table of content (TOC) with anchors to all the nodes so the TOC becomes clickable and auto-scrolls down to the correct content.

The main content will come after the TOC.

The solution must use CSS for all formatting. Tables must not be used to format the content.

It must also be a function to export PDF by using a free existing HMTL-2-PDF library like http://www.digitaljunkies.ca/dompdf/about.php. (or other if any better)
