I want the users to have a great control panel to modify there profiles, Some of the features should include:
1- edit password, email, choose location, choose sex, enter birthday, add & edit profile picture, edit look & feel of the profile…etc.
2- Private messages system for users.

This would be a site where people could buy and sell products. The way it would work is from the home page you can see our top favorite items or newly posted items and go to them directly from the home page or you can choose to sell and item or shop. If you choose to sell there will be a place to log in if you already have an account or create a new account. Once logged in you would input info on the item and post a picture. If you are going to shop the site you would select “Shop” and it would take you to a page with the most popular or most recent posts and then on the side you will be able to choose a category and sub-category (i.e. Jewelry – Necklace). If they want to purchase something it will be added to a shopping cart and will have the option to continue shopping or check out. When they choose to check out they will be asked to register or log in and continue to do payment and all that. We would like our site also to automatically connect to our merchant account so it is one less thing for us to do.

I have a client who wants to build a new site very similar to the site at http://www.texascte.org/tcec09/, but with the site re-created in WordPress instead of as a static HTML site.

I will be plugging in all the interior page content and providing the graphics for the header and home page areas, but need for a programmer to do everything else to get a site that LOOKS like this into WordPress.

You will need to have fantastic WordPress and CSS skills to do this job. I prefer very clean and marked up code (CSS and HTML/PHP).

Requirements:
- You will need to install wordpress on the host site (host does not offer one click install)
- I will provide a mockup of the new home page, blog page, and interior page as layered Photoshop files. The designs will have the same structure and placement of elements, but the graphics will be substituted. You will need to plug in the new graphics on the home page and interior page template (pulling them from the photoshop file) with the exception of the rotating Flash element — use a plugin instead for that (see below).
- Blog post snippets and twitter feed will be a part of the new home page.
- Navigation will be the same as on the sample, (still need to have drop down menus), but we need to add in another top-level navigation item: “Blog”. It is o.k. if the drop down menus don’t look exactly like the ones on the model site.
- Finalized design must BE TESTED and look good in the current major browsers (IE 6-8), Firefox (mac and pc), Safari (mac and pc), Google Chrome.
- If you want to modify the “Allure” WP template from Studiopress to build the site (http://www.studiopress.com/themes/allure), I can send you the files as I have purchased that template. However, the new site still needs to match the model site. Let me know if you want it.
- Client will need to be able to use WordPress page editor to edit the interior pages and post blog posts (a sample interior page would look like http://www.texascte.org/tcec09/about/index.html) — note the on page state for the section, drop down menus, and breadcrumbs).
- Please create separate page templates for the blog, regular interior pages, and home page. They may have different sidebar content and I’ll need to be able to customize each one. The blog template pages need to look similar to the interior page template though.
- Drop down menus are not necessary for the subnav on interior pages (as shown at http://www.texascte.org/tcec09/about/index.html — see left sidebar), but the interior page submenu should automatically populate from declaring the page’s parent page when you build or edit a page. This item is important — please ask questions if you don’t understand.

Plugins that you will need to install (in addition to others you see necessary to add based upon above specifications):
- We will need a method (plugin or otherwise) that allows for the client to edit the main nav and drop-down menus as they add or remove pages (menu should not be hard coded — it needs to change when new pages are added and parent pages are indicated).
- We want to shift the existing Flash feature to use the Featured Content Gallery instead. I’ll add in those photographs myself, but want the plugin installed and tested within the home page layout.
- Will want the “advanced text widget” plugin so we can add custom sidebar content.
- Will want the “Add to Any” plugin or similar social networking share plugin
- Will want cform plugin.
- Will want a rate this feature on blog posts (can be a part of the share plugin you select)

The LOGO DESIGN should be the world concept, however we want the image to look 3D – like it is popping off of the page (like google’s logo does). We also want a few more colours in the logo that we can tie in to the navigation’s look and feel. The logo needs to be completed by Thursday evening.

The new BANNER will tie in with the logo’s look and feel… Specific details of the banner will be given when you start the project.

The HOME PAGE needs to be designed to include our logo and all of our main navigation (Top bar and Left bar). We would like the home page to have all of our main links spaced evenly throughout the page with the logo, yet tie in wit the look and fee of the rest of the site.

The new updated NAVIGATION look and feel should be very simple and clean, with pops of colour that tie into the logo – it is mainly text based. The navigation includes – left and upper navigation (which is the same throughout the site) and navigation on the right side (which includes 5 different navigation bars – that should all pretty much have the same look and feel. We do not want a lot of icons – we want a very simple look – with symmetry throughout the site.

As mentioned the logo must be completed within 24 hours. The rest of the project can be completed within 4-5 days.

The theme that I’m thinking about customizing can be found here: http://themeforest.net/item/imperial/47783 I think it does most of the news/blog functions well, so it wouldn’t require much manipulation in that department. Here are the changes/additions I would like to make to the theme.

1. I would like to alter the white version of the theme somewhat since I think it looks just a little bit crowded in places, and I would like to have a white site with green as an accent color.

2. Users would be able to create accounts which allow them to post comments, photos, videos, and add events to a calendar. They would also have profiles that would contain certain information about them. They would also have the ability to send messages. I think this could potentially be done using BuddyPress without too much difficulty.

3. I would like an events calendar that users can upload content to (and if it’s not too difficult, these events would have the ability to be linked to news stories and/or picture galleries)

4. Users would be able create/join groups and create events for that group that would go into the calendar.

5. Administrator accounts could add new stories and edit other site content.

Web 2.0 makeover – Any of the design characteristics of Web 2.0 sites (Web 2.0 buttons, rounded edges, Web 2.0 icons) that can be added would be great.
Switch the nav bar to be bellow the page header. (I will give you materials for a new header later today)

Here are the components I would like in the left column.

FLASH PORTION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Only the portion of the page that changes — the part in the dark gray box (including the box itself) — should be done in Flash. The rest of the page should be done in HTML+CSS.
- I will provide the font and I want the text to be done in Flash — not as a static image — so that it can be edited on an ongoing basis. So I will want both the .fla and .swf files.
- The version of Flash required for the site visitor should be version 8 or lower.
- The order of the Flash sequence is as follows:

- Each slide should stand still for 20 seconds before changing to the next slide.
- Transition effect should be a fade between slides.

Upon mousing over any of the names, the name turns yellow and the white triangle slides to move below it. On click, it turns white. The “on page” state is shown, which is yellow. Once the user clicks on one of these names, the slide stays fixed on his selection and no more transitions happen unless he reloads the page.

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IN DETAIL!

The site has some minor issues that need to be fixed asap. here is a list of problems.

*The site needs to be able to accept all of these file types for video uploading. This is the MOST important problem and I would like this to be fixed FIRST before any of the other issues.

* Windows Media Video (.WMV)
* .3GP (cell phones)
* .AVI (windows)
* .MOV (mac)

* .MPEG

*The categories on the site need to be fixed to list in alphabetical order.

*There is a problem with the ‘ symbol. Because of this, it will not save some of the files being upload as well as any text that has a ‘ symbol.

*Now the Embed codes for the videos and music also do not work if they have a ‘ symbol in the file name, title, or description.

*On the home page, the video categories drop down menu does not work anymore and needs to be fixed. User are suppose to be able to click on the drop menu and select the category of videos they want to see. Once they click on it it should show the videos of that type from the featured section.

*There is also a problem on the home page that I was told is a “CSS Issue”. When using Internet Explorer, some of the text on the home page get’s cut off. The Text “Featured Videos” and “Videos” is being cut off. Also, for some reason when I pull up the site in my iPhone it the home page looks messed up, but when i click on the other pages they look fine. I think there is just an issue with the index page.

I called a local programmer and he said that a good programmer should be able to fix these small issues in a few hours, a single day at the most. I need this to be completed asap and I’ve already spent all the money I can on this site so all I can afford now is $50. We have a Joomla site built on a template already up, but we were never happy with it. The web designer was not capibile of working outside the template and it never got completed. It can be used as a reference site to the project. While I am capable of doing this project my time is much more valuable elsewhere in our production path hence the need for ongoing work as well. Lets go over the WordPress Project.

Our current site is www.sdnnow.com the overall page flow of the site will persist to the wordpress version.
There is a vbulletin forum involved as well and if you could actually do the customization work on that as well that would be a big plus.

So we are going for a very “Web 2.0″ look and feel (God I hate that term) so JS/AJAX is a good thing.

A very poor mock up/wireframe of the home page is attached. Please only use this as a rough estimate, the sizing and such is not accurate.

I feel there are 3 customized area’s of the site and the rest of the site should be able to be essentially templated. But lets take it page by page.

1) Home Page
- Logo and Header Area. Possible inclusion of RSS/Twitter/Facebook/Linked In Links. I say possible as there is a footer area that will display a bar of social networks that we are on and link to our presence so you may just want to leave it at RSS…. Newsletter Subscription would also be a good thing to have in this area.

- Main Navigation

- Ajax/JS “Spy” Fader Style Feed Display. This will pull for right now from a number of twitter feeds push them into an array and display them one at a time.
I can provide example code if necessary (from the web) it would be nice if we have the ability to bring in other styles of feeds (rss headlines and such).

- Coming Soon and Recent Releases Display.
This is an area that I certainly need some design help in. I will attach some examples of the styles, and for the coming soon area the example on the sdnnow.com site is ok. But i dont want the text to be on the side I want the text to either be under the image or floating and partially transparent on the image.
The recently released section should be different I was thinking a horizontal slider and a vertical slider. But again this part to make it look “BEST” I kind of leave to you. This does not need to be attached to the CMS portion of the site, but I guess if it can be done easily than that would be a bonus (Pulls from a category, which holds the individual posts that populate the displays) I know I have seen templates on template forest that do this.

I really like the amplify slider and I love the way the sleek slide does the motion. Javanize is an example of a horizontal system. Now the question is how to get this to display and look good with both the Coming Soon And Recent Releases.

- Company text area… Just a block of text similar to what we have on the site already. Again does not need to be attached to the CMS but it would be awesome if it was.

- Recent News (Attached to the CMS system)
- Block Area for “Recent” News Items – Displays X# of headlines clicking should go to the news page for the article.
- Block Area for “Recent” Press Releases – Same as above just a different category.

- Social Network Line (32×32 or 64×64 icons that link to our presence on social networks and such)

- Footer Another possible location for mailing list but I think somewhere above the fold is better Ive seen it with both. Would contain copyright info and also be a link farm to our other websites

2) News/Press Releases Page
- Some sort of basic CMS page that would display the news items and press release items clicking the link would take you to the article page

3) Our Games and Websites (A better name for this is needed)
- In the sdnnow.com site we used a joomla plug in to create a catalog and elemenated the cart and check out features. At one point I had the system completly customized and working but my web designer at the time decided to take it into her own hands and changed it causing me to fire her….

There are some catalog plug ins for wordpress but I have no experience with them. The ability to enter in new projects and template the output is the main goal. I think this can be accomplished using custom fields and such in a worst case situation.

A) Main Catalog Page will show a graphical representation of the product and be grouped by social network (Category) . Clicking on a product will take you to a detail page, one thing to note.. a product can exist (and will) on multiple social networks (in multiple categories)

Large Graphic on the side will be links to the games forum, screen shot gallery (lightboxed), games wiki page, icons to represent what categories (networks) it is on that will take you to the game. 4) Forums this will lead to our vbulletn forums.
- If you can do the css customization to match the web theme that would be great.

5) About Us
Again this should be a simple CMS thing. About us is actually a few different sections once we finish it.
Our Company, Our People, Our Philosophy I assume these can just be categories and the text can just be posts. So there would be some form of navigation and the post.

6) Jobs
We wish to list the jobs we are currently hiring for. We want this in two pages. One with them all listed out and summaries and then the next page with details.

7) Contact
Just a simple template that we can put contact stuff into. (page template?)

Support
Just again another “Page” I think,… We would actually have some links in this as well as widgets that display information from our support systems. Just template this out and if its just a page style we can edit it in wordpress.

So really only the home page, the catalog and the jobs page I think pose any type of issue outside of standard wordpress stuff, and chances are someone with the experience with wordpress can bang this out.

This project is to configure a new Drupal installation.

In the longer term the site will make use of a lot of the power of Drupal (and I will require someone for this bigger project), but for this stage of development the only significant part of Drupal that will be used is the membership function and the ability to restrict access to particular areas of the site based on members’ roles.

This should be a very simple project for someone with significant skills and experience with Drupal

This project involves configuring Drupal (which has already been installed) in order to achieve the following:

HOME PAGE

The home page must be set up as, essentially, a sales page with a member login form. I need a custom template created for this. I already have header and footer graphics created.

From the home page users must be able to either login to the membership area or request a lost password. Registration will be handled via a separate e-commerce script which is linked to Drupal and automatically creates accounts & roles. In other words, for this project – no work is required in relation to user account registration and management.

MEMBERS AREA

The Members Area will consist of a Landing Page and a number of Sections.

Every page within the Members Area will have header and footer graphics (these have already been created).

There will be a simple menu system for members to navigate to and between Sections.

There must be a separate menu with configurable links to other locations outside the Drupal environment (e.g. Blog, Forum, Support Desk)

SECTIONS

A Section, from a user’s point of view, is just a single page (actually, a delivery/download page for a product).

Over time, there will be 4-5 Sections, but for this project only TWO Sections will be created. There must be outline instructions of how to create/delete Sections.

Each Section will have different header and footer graphics for its page. (These graphics have been created). Other than that, the template for each Section can be the same.

Apart from the header, footer and navigation menus, the pages within the Sections require only the ability for me to add general HTML.

Access to each Section must be restricted to members with defined Roles. In other words a member may not access a particular Section unless they have the Role associated with that Section.

I don’t know what options area available for defining what happens when a user tries to access a Section for which he/she does not have a relevant Role. I would want advice on this but will not need anything that goes beyond simple configuration options of Drupal.

MEMBERS AREA LANDING PAGE

The Landing Page is where members arrive when they first log in.

Again, this page will have its own header/footer graphics.

The functionality of this page is:
– the navigation menus
– the main area with general HTML
– information about the member’s access rights

The last item – information about the member’s access rights – could be implemented in two ways.

EITHER: List of Sections:

Listing the Section to which they have access, based on their Roles
e.g.
You have access to the following Sections of this site:
<name of section>
<name of section>
Ideally, the names of the sections would be hyperlinked.

OR: List of Roles

e.g.
You have the following Roles:
<Role>
<Role>

I would much prefer the List of Sections approach, but it this will add significantly to the cost, please quote for the List of Roles approach.

Guys i need two web templates for a church website. The templates will be designed structurally well in HTML with CSS styling. I dont want any nonsense kind of design for the church website and i want it done professionally and quick.

I have a real estate site that needs to be coded using a CMS (preferably Joomla). A PSD file will be provided using the exact specifications including dimensions and colours.

The requirements are fairly straightforward and the design can be viewed in the attached JPG files that show the home page, a content page and a wrapper (iframe) page. The home page image and text alongside need to be in separate modules.

There will be a couple of standard forms as well.

The files should be fairly self-explanatory, if there are any questions, please ask before bidding.

Hey there, I am looking to see why my Myspace Friend add train site MyspaceGamerZ.com (FreeMobsters.com) is taking so long to load after clicking any buttons after the home page? The home page loads up fast, BUT FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU CLICK ON THE “MOBSTERS BUTTON” the left column on the page and text load fast but all of the myspace user profile pictures in the middle of page take 10-30 seconds to load and then the right column finally loads. I have been told by my programmer it is my server…the hosting company says its a glitch in my coding? I dont know what it is, I just need it fixed, lol! If you have any suggestions or you think you know why this is happening, please help.

I had posted a similar project on this site a few months ago but the project did not go ahead. I am now relisting a similar but expanded project that I am looking at completing in the next couple of months – no rush just trying to find someone who can do it and get ideas before starting. (time frame for this is form completion about September)

I have a web site – www.geronamo.com.au. It has the basic design I would like, except I want to change a few things. It has quite a lot of flash which I can’t update myself. I currently update the rest of the web site in Contribute. Can you please look at the site and tell me if you can do the following and give me an estimate of cost:

1. Remove the Flash or make it so that I can update the flash elements. This is mainly on the home page.

2. Photos section – I would like this redone so that the photo section shows photos along the lines of something like Picasa. Have a look at my own picasa family albums and see if this would be incorporated into the site or if a similar one can be added to the site. http://picasaweb.google.com/craigandclaire. I would also like to be able to upload photos myself – I currently can’t do that. I would also like to be able top add a watermark at the bottom of each photo to make it harder to copy them.

3. I would ideally like to be able to update and edit content on the site on line instead of using Contribute. Can you enable this with the current design?

4. I don’t like the current font. I would like something a little crisper and cleaner. Can this be done throughout the whole site?

5. You’ll notice banners in the team building section. For example Hollywood Blockbusters has a banner. Can you design these? if so how much to design a banner?

6. I want to move several things around on the home page.

a. I would like to move the large flash file / pictures, which rotates with the 5 main program areas about half way down the page under the video section, and put it in place of the free teambuilding ideas blue flash banner.

b. I would like to move the ‘free teambuilding ideas’ blue flash banner to the right hand side and make it one of the smaller buttons.

c. I would like to move the 6 ‘hot programs’ to the right hand side and move all of the right hand side buttons underneath to the bottom of the home page. I would like to change some of the names of the right hand side buttons and I will let you know what those changes are later on.

7. I do not like some of the colours – for example the green and orange could be changed to different hues or even changed altogether in place of other colours. I am thinking of getting rid of green altogether from the site.

8. What do you do in the way of SEO? I would like to ensure our site is optimised for best SEO.

9. I would like certain keywords placed into the site but I unsure how to insert them.

10. I would like another 3 basic web sites created that I can link back to this site for optimisation purposes. Do you have basic web templates and how much for 3 of them.

11. I currently have the weather on the front page for 3 areas. I would like to have a seperate weather section now and remove the weather from the front page. I would like to add the weather for 3 other areas into the weather section.

12. I would like to add a blog to the site.

13. In the contact us area or make a booking area I would like people to put in a verification setting to prevent bots from taking our email addresses and using to them to add to spam lists.

14. I would like to put a little texture into the side bar menus. Instead of them being a green block of colour I would like the to have a texture something like the side bar menu in this example at this web address: http://psdvibe.com/tutorials/photo_gallery_layout/Picture%2036.jpg Note the grey side bar and how each selection has a different shade of grey.

15. I’d like to add some more text to the front page – yet to be decided what that text would be.

It is to be a MUCH SIMPLER version inspired by MichaelBaisden.com. *IT DOESN’T NEED TO HAVE ALL OF THESE FEATURES (and be MUCH LESS BUSY), but the home page will house various features to entice the visitors to visit the other pages on the site (i.e. Newsletter sign-up, Video blogging area (will link to an inner page, which can also link to YouTube — Just keep it simple), Book ads, Featured events, Question of the Week, Articles of the week (started on the home page, continued on one of the subpages), etc… YOU DO NOT NEED TO ENTER ALL OF THE CONTENT! I just want the Joomla site built, you to insert the modules, and set up the site for me, add the pictures, the menus (7 drop menus, that’s all), etc… I will add most of the content myself. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO EDIT EVERYTHING MYSELF.
