Hello, we would like someone to make a fix to the sliders located at the links above. Currently, the back arrow lags by one person/project. So, if you scroll forward with the forward arrow and then hit the back arrow, it will have the wrong bio. We would like this to either be fixed is possible and if not, we just want to remove the back arrow all together.

Thank you,
Brianna

Script Clone

November 16th, 2009 Comments off

I want a simple CMS script I can use for the back end of the websites I create for my customers.

I create the front end of the web site and I will install the script you create for me as the back end. The customers can then edit their sites from the back end.

The script will need to have a very good editor like maybe the FCK editor or something similar.

I want this CMS script to function similar to the one I purchased and installed here.

Go Here to see: Http//www.getjb.com/manage

User: admin
Pass: admin

Please have a good look at it and play around a bit so you can see how it functions.

The one I have purchased is ok but very hard to edit.

I would like the script you create for me to have a install program like this one does.

The files also need to be well commented so I can make simple edits.

Anyway, please have a good look at how this script functions so you will know what is involved in this project.

Any questions just ask.

Edit Ebook.

I wrote an ebook. An editor from Harper Collins says below:

“The structure should be reorganized. The first chapter should be moved to the back. You should pay more attention to the structure of similar books, and the tone the author used.”

Basically, she is saying this book sucks, however, her advice is sound in regards to moving the chapter from the front to the back. Since I’ve done enough damage, I leave this part of the edit to you….

It is not a difficult task, read it, get a feel for it, then do as she says. “Move the first chapter to the back.”

This is not a hard project for anybody with good writing skills.

I will make payment after the project is completed. Read my reviews and you will know why.

Online Databse Set Up

August 24th, 2009 Comments off

Hello,

I am starting my search for an programmer to help finalize my system. I have laid out the basics below. I live in Cave Creek Arizona, and am looking for a programmer within 50 miles of my location.

If you would like to discuss the project, I will be more than happy to meet you at a location convenient for you. Since I have the website built, and have graphical representations of what I want to achieve, I think conveying my requirements will be fairly easy.

Programing job synopsis:

Help finalize the database for a web based residential loan pipeline management system.

The website is built on the Joomla! CMS.

The database component will use the frame/wrapper function of the Joomla! system and as such will not need any customized integration into the Joomla! CMS.

Information will be entered via forms on the website and then populate the database with the information.

Information will also need to populate the database via an uploaded file in the Fannie Mae 3.2 format. There is plentiful support, templates and testing resources to implement the Fannie Mae 3.2 format, as this is the Government prescribed format for the transmission of data for mortgage loans. The main form for entering this information on the front end site already compiles the information in the Fannie Mae 3.2 format.

The information populated in the database will need to be called and displayed in the back end when the loan officer logs into the website. The information will be editable via a form field in the back end of the site.

The form field in the back end which is editable by the loan officer will also need to have the functionality of selecting certain fields of information that will auto populate the subject field of the default e-mail client set on the loan officers computer.

The forms and fields are all laid out and much of the work is just tying in the forms and fields for the database.

The entire website will be cloned for each new loan officer that signs on either as a sub domain or using their own domain hosted under my account. I will be using a Joomla! site cloner that appears to clone the database as well, but will need to be looked at by yourself to make sure the steps for each cloning are laid out clearly.

* Must be willing to sign a confidentiality /non compete/ non disclosure agreement.
* Please no bids from outside Arizona USA.

Retouch Business Card

July 18th, 2009 Comments off

I recently hired a designer to design my business card, but I’m no longer happy with it. I’ve started a new design here…
http://www.meetmeinvip.com/businesscard/Business_Card_newback.psd
http://www.meetmeinvip.com/businesscard/Business_Card_newfront.psd

I want the front and back slightly modified (retouched) to closely resemble this card http://www.meetmeinvip.com/businesscard/card.jpg.

I will also need some text added to border the business card (as in the example card). The text has been added to the back of the card so you can begin on the back, but I have not decided what the text frame on the front of the card will say.

The contact info on the back needs to be styled appropriately so it is more prominent when printed actual size.

In summary, the card is pretty close to being finished. I’ll say as much as 80% of the work is completed. You’ll need to:

- Restyle the contact info on the back
- Retouch the background (front and back) to resemble the example card
- Create a border of text on the front and the back. Note: the text on the back is already there, and the front is to be determined.

Please let me know if you can assist and I’ll need to see samples of your work or if you would like to go ahead and submit a mock draft, I’ll look at that also.

Thanks!

Online Encyclopedia

July 16th, 2009 Comments off

I am creating an online database of terms for a non profit arts organization. This will be an educational site where users of the genre can easily look up a search term that will generate a result page that will load content from a protected Excel sheet, or a crv. This sheet is already created, but the content will change. The front end is also already designed–it is the backend that contains the real functionality of the site. Additionally, I may want to create a mirror page for each search term where an authorized user who has no experience with web development, can easily go to a search term, and edit the text.

The front end has been designed already. Its the back end that needs work. I would like it to be an open resource without logging in, but have a portion to log in to get the full search term. The back end needs to be able to edit articles, upload images, and be easy enough for a computer novice (who can only type) to edit the information. I would like to be able to edit images, and upload video from the back end. But I just want to make clear that this is not a wiki-type encylopedia. This is only edited by a handful of administrators

Recreate Book Cover From A Pdf

July 1st, 2009 Comments off

REQUIREMENTS:
This project is to take a book cover for a hardback book, which we have in PDF format (see attached) and to recreate that book cover in a smaller format that can be used for a paperback version of the same book. (See “Dimensions” below for the size requirements of the cover.) You must be a skilled graphic designer with experience in books/publishing. We need this book cover recreated in “press quality” PDF format. NOTE: We will provide you with the PDF of the hard cover (see attached file to this posting). I almost certain the attached PDF it is in “press quality” format, but as I am not a graphics expert, I am not 100% certain the attached PDF is “press quality.” Your work must be “press quality.” The new cover that you create must look as similar as possible to the attached PDF.

Although we have a PDF of the original cover, we do NOT have any of the underlying original graphics file that were used to create the PDF (with the exception of the main image of George Washington).

The attached PDF was used for the hardcover edition of the book. The new file that you create will be used for a paperback edition of the book. While the graphics on the front of the cover will need to look identical to those from the original PDF, the dimensions of the layout will change in accordance with the printer’s requirements (see “Dimensions” below). In addition, the inside flaps from the hardcover can be deleted and the text on the back of the book will change.

The hardback cover is attached to this project in what I believe is a “press quality” PDF.

DIMENSIONS:
The printer has requirements on the dimensions of the book cover you create. They are described in detail here:
http://www.bookmasters.com/print/eplayout.htm
http://www.bookmasters.com/print/pdf/PerfectBound.pdf

GRAPHICS AND TEXT:
To assist you with this project, we will provide you with:

1. The PDF of the hard cover.
2. The JPG of George Washington.
3. The ISBN number and price of the book for the back cover. (See “Bar Code” below.)
4. The new text for the back cover (Microsoft Word document)
5. The JPG of the logo (needed for the spine of the book)
6. The JPGs of the photographs of the authors for the back cover

BAR CODE:
There are free services on the Internet where you can generate a bar code graphic. I will provide you with the information you need to generate a bar code from one of these services. I do not know which of these free services is reliable. I understand some of these free services produce bar codes that sometimes have difficulty getting scanned or cannot be scanned at all. If you have experience with bar codes, please state that in your bid comments or in the PMB.

WORK-FOR-HIRE:
This work will need to be performed as a work-made-for-hire. We will have full rights to the copyrights of the work you produce in this project for us.

DELIVERABLES:
At the end of the job, we would like for you to deliver:

1. One PDF containing the entire cover, per the printer’s specs above.
2. All original graphics files used to create the PDF, in case we need them for future editions of the book.
3. One PDF for our own use. This simply needs to be a cropped version of the front cover that you create, showing only the cover of the book.

I am very sensitive to price, so please bid accordingly. If someone bids the right amount, has appropriate experience, and can finish this job quickly, I may end the bidding early and select you. When bidding, please write the word “Excel” in your bid comments so that I know you speak English and understand and have read these requirements.

Finish 2 Flash Banners

June 7th, 2009 Comments off

Hello,

We are looking for a Flash Developer to finish a Flash project (2 Flash Banners). A good foundation already there, however we are looking for someone who can better match some graphics and can work with the text on the slides. The attached Word document not only describes the changes we want, but I went to quite a bit of effort to describe to you what I like and what we don’t like. We are looking for a developer who can “see” our vision and give us what we want quickly and easily.

PLEASE REVIEW the attached WORD Document BEFORE bidding on this project.

We are looking for a Flash Developer who understands what we are trying to accomplish and complete the project quickly and easily. If you can truly see our vision, then this project should be VERY quick and easy.

For Example: On several slides we want a new graphic. If you send us a few .jpgs of pictures you think will work for each replacement, we can pick and choose the ones we like before you ever touch the flash. This not only gives you a very quick idea of what we like and what we don’t, but it GREATLY reduces the back and forth. Give us a selection of proofs first and the back and forth should be kept to a minimum!!!

Communications:

Time Zone: PST (-8 GMT) West Coast of USA
IM: Yahoo, MSN, Skype
Phone: We request that the developer can communicate by phone.
* We have found that at times a quick phone call is the best way to communicate “ideas” and will greatly reduce the back and forth.

General Requirements
1. We request that all our developers keep every iteration of the source code. We want all version.
2. We request all graphics work in original form (before being incorporated in the Flash).
3. We request that fonts be included in original delivery.

* We want to be able to edit the Flash in the months or years to come.

Thank You,

cWebDev

Interactive Custom Card Design

March 25th, 2009 No comments

Hello –

I need someone to create an online, interactive custom card design tool. The tool will allow people to create their own designs for a card including background, text, and images. The feature requirements for the card front and back are listed below, along with examples of similar websites.

—————————————-
Front:
Background selectable from an existing list or uploaded image
Add text fields with editable size, color, and placement
Add one text date (ie 03/18/2009) and one text cost (ie $10) field which each have editable size, color, and placement
Uploadable image(s) with adjustable size and placement

Back:
The back will be split up in a grid.
The number of grid boxes is selectable (1 to ~32) and automatically scale to fit the space
Each box has 1 image, either selected from pre-determined list, or uploaded, which has editable size and can be left or right aligned (within the grid)
Each box has three (optional) text fields, which automatically wrap within the blank space

Adminstrative backend:
Simple method of uploading new background images. Should be simple but does not have to be pretty.

Platform:
Can be Flash or Javascript/AJAX based
Ties into existing PHP infrastructure
Final result is saved as high-resolution (~300 pixels/inch) JPG or high-resolution PDF
Cross-browser compatible

Interface requirements:
Drag-and-drop layout functionality
“what you see is what you get” design
Warning when closing or navigating away from page

———————-

Similar to:
http://www.bluecotton.com/
Aspects that are good:
Smooth interface
“what you see is what you get” design
Text editor is good and shows fonts/colors as they are changed
Elements are directly movable and resizable with mouse
Text elements can still be changed after they are added
This is a good model to follow for the front of the card
Differences:
We do not need ability to add unlimited text / images, a pre-set number is fine
Do not need checkout integrated
Do not need customization of existing templates

http://www.customink.com
Aspects that are good:
Good interface for adding text and formatting it
This is a good model to follow for the front of the card
Differences:
Do not need text rotation, saving, art gallery

http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/bcfree.aspx?xnav=marquee
(click on “Advanced Editing – only $9.99!”)
Aspects that are good:
Pre-set number of text fields (back)
Allows resizing and movement of text, uploading images, etc
This is a possible model to follow for the back of the card

http://www.customizedgirl.com/
Aspects that are good:
Pre-set number of text fields (back)
Allows resizing and movement of text, uploading images, etc

You must be serious and professional, with good frequent communication and the ability to clearly understand english requirements. We will need to have very frequent updates along the way to make sure design decisions are made correctly. I am available 16 hours each day to answer questions you may have.

I would like the project to be completed within 6 weeks time. Upon awarding the project to you, please submit a timeline of milestones and project plan that you plan to follow.

Please supply your quote, time estimate, and links to any projects you have done that are similar or related.
