I have a site for online courses with teachers and need help in setting up a site that allows me to set up a page for each instructor within our site and then allow students to book certain dates and times that the teachers make available when that time is booked they pay right then and it becomes unavailable. Then when the time they book comes they can have a web based web cam conversation or course walk through. I do not want to use a free streaming service like ustream because i would like to have control over when people log in and out and give password consent.

The other factor is there is going to be approximatly 100-150 teachers so there might need to be 8-12 web chat browsers available. Or a personal chat room per instructor.

I have a website with resources for teachers. Would like to add several tools that teachers can use on a daily or weekly basis to help them prepare for their classes.

Please submit ideas for teacher tools with the following requirements:
-HTML/PHP based
-all online
-ability to download/save work offline

Some examples of possible tools include:
-a tool to create a quiz or test
-a tool to create a crossword puzzle
-a tool to figure out weighted averages for grades
-a tool to create rubrics
-a tool to organize lesson plans for the day/week/month
-a tool to create & print out a nice seating chart
-a tool to create a mind map / semantic map / venn diagram / etc.

Please do not limit yourself to these. I am looking for even more creative ideas.

Several programmers will be chosen for the project. Please describe clearly your ideas, and note the time frame for completing your tool(s). Also note any other requirements I may not know about (i.e., if it requires a database or certain PHP version).

I run a coaching consultancy with a team of teachers and clients who book one-to-one training sessions.
I need a backend to my website that will accomplish the following:

A database to keep track of client enquiries and a booking system to track history of clients booking sessions.

Clients booking sessions with us are given a log-in to the following booking system which contains;

A passworded page for my clients to log-in to which will allow them to make payments online, track appointments made and how many they have left, recommend friends and receive a free credit, see contact details of their coach and click through to email them, change personal details including password. Password reset has an automatic email confirmation. There is an automatic password reminder email if they forget their log-in.

A passworded page for my teachers which will allow them to see which clients they have and their contact details, how many sessions they have paid for and have left, to input dates of sessions taken by their clients, and to see the whole client history. The ability to send out a standard email payment reminder if their clients fall behind.

A passworded admin page which allows me and my admin staff to view all current clients, their tutors, sessions paid/taken. With the teachers it should automatically list all sessions taken with the rate teachers are paid (this varies). This should automatically generate an invoice for those teachers. We need to able to access a database of all past clients and their history with us. Admin page should also be able to add dates of sessions taken to the system and alter all this information in case of need to make refunds.

We also need to be able to use the database to send out newsletter/promotional emails to different groupings of clients.

Admin page should be able to see password of all clients and teachers.

I can show you some example pages from personal training and pilates sites. Basic design should fit in with our website.

I currently want this to work with Google Checkout and/or Paypal. I already have a Google Checkout account and will set up a Paypal one specifically.

The website should allow teachers to create an account (after paying) and maintain/update an electronic portfolio and also socialise with others on teh website.

3) A prospective employer

The Teacher should be able to decide who sees various areas of their eportfolio.

This is where all the teacher standards should be presented.

Our goal was to have a completed revamped school website within a month, yet it’s been over 3 months and we’re no where near being complete.We need a fast working, good commnication, web designer, with no BS. Gallery needs to be flashy and get an attention getter.

Administrators should be able to manage and view all activity done by the Teachers students and parents.

Teachers should be able to enter the website and share documents site wide, the site will be divided into 3 sections

High school, Elementary, and Kindergarten all three sites should have a separate theme but should be tied together threw the admin panel.

:: Student Section ::

A student should be able to login to the website from school and get private messages, email, assignments, documents, video and audio from the teachers, they should also be able to interact with other students online.

:: Teacher section ::

Teachers should be able to logon to the website and assign assignments, to students, post video, audio, and documents that can be accessed by the entire group of students or individual students. Teachers should also be able to post grades, assignments, and attendance and disciplinary notes online.

:: Parent Section ::

Parents should be able to login to the to the website and have full access to logs of everything their child has done online, what homework etc. They should also be able to get detailed reports from the teachers about their students behavior, attendance etc. It should also be interactive in a way that if a student takes a test the parents can logon to the website from home and get the students test results etc.

The site should also have an account section for the students where they can check their school account balance as well as buy items from the school. (e.g. school store where they can buy books etc. )

If there is currently some existing software that would cover such things I am happy to use this in conjunction with customization.

This can be done in any language, flash etc. Whatever gets the job done. Work should be professional and flawless.
