I’m trying to install Squid on a Windows 2008 R2 server. All configurations seem fine and the service is running. But the proxy function is not working by checking with a remote IE. I think it might be the Windows Firewall setting but I’m not sure how to fix it. Past experience installing Squid is a must.

I need to configure Squid to proxy the DNS request.
I can’t configure ip of proxy but only the name server on the network card.
So i need to put ns1.domain.tld and ns2.. and i can surf on internet but using ALC permission of Squid.
If i surf to a that not exist will redirect to another page.
Is the same of a open proxy but we do configure on client side on DNS nework card and not on browser.
Server are arlady installed and aso squid. need only to configure ALC of Squid to use name server and not only one IP

I have squid installed and running on a remote box but when trying to use multiple ips that are on the server it always uses the first specified but not the rest
i have tried
tcp_outgoing_address x.x.x.x
tcp_outgoing_address x.x.x.x
and the regular linux way
acl ip1 myip x.x.x.x
tcp_outgoing_address x.x.x.x ip1
acl ip2 myip x.x.x.x
tcp_outgoing_address x.x.x ip2
this is obviously a fast and easy job as i justt need to know what to put in squid.conf or have someone put a example in my file..
I need someone to configure my squid 2.7 windows installation so one particular IP can use the server squid is installed on, seems its running but int he logs it shows the request was denied and/or missed

We are looking for someone to setup a corporate proxy, so that our employees all connect to the internet via our US based server.
We require someone who has knowledge of proxy software, and has the ability to install it. We are looking at Squid Proxy.
We have installed this before, on a different server.
Unfortunately we cannot provide Root access to the server, therefore we are looking for someone to tell us the SSH commands to install via Instant Messenger.

OK i have a windows box with 2 NICs..
1 NIC is bound to 1 Ip, while the second NIC has 40 IPS it can use.
I want someone who can setup a proxy for those 40 IPS, so that whatever IP i connect with, becomes the outbound Ip TOO.
so for example if i connect to 1.1.1.1:81 on my server, then all outbound internet connections will use 1.1.1.1, if i connect to 2.2.2.2:81, then all outbound internet connections will use 2.2.2.2
Make sense? I know this is possible in linux but i need this done in windows..

Serious Linux Admins Only with experience in setting up proxy’s.
You need to install squid-cache server on our server:
We have a server in USA (new york)
(Centos 5.2)
a) Proxy needs to be setup with Squid-Cache (latest version) to a “High Anonymous Proxy”, and in any situation should always show server IP and hostname – (This will be tested if we can view videos on hulu.com)
b) Setup usernames / password to access the proxy
c) Enable socks5 on squid as well.
