I need a developer that is able to build a custom MTA (mail transfer agent) for me.

Our company sends permission based email and we currently pay an third party software company for software however we’d like to create our own custom MTA to eliminate this extra monthly costs for leasing software.

For this project I’d like bids from only parties that have experience in managing MTA’s and would therefore know the requirements to building a custom MTA and building it so that the MTA runs fast and smooth.

We already have our own software that runs on the front end that will be managing our email lists and inserting the email messages into the MTA, however in order to have an MTA to do what we need it will need to be custom.

Also, we would need to be able to have multiple instances of the MTA running at once on a server. This is because for our setup we will have multiple instances of our front-end software running and each front-end instance will need to point to its own MTA.

Finally we will need this custom MTA to be made very use friendly for us to be able to load it ourselves on a server and edit the configuration file to make it behave as we need it to, which is explained below. This would involve either making it into an executable to self install or it could simply be that we need to create a few directories on the server, give each directory certain permissions and then put the MTA script into a certain folder. Either of these ways would be simple enough for us.

Essentially we would need to be able to have a configuration file for the MTA that we can edit to specify a variety of settings to tell the MTA how to behave. We would need to be able to make changes to these settings at any time after the MTA is in use as well.

Here is what settings we need to be able to customize to tell our custom MTA how to behave:

1) We need to be able to specify how many connections to use to send mail. Any MTA will open a certain number of connections to send out email. We want to able to specify what this number should be, whether that would be 10 connections or 400 connections. We understand there are certain limitations for this based on server hardware. This is why we need someone experienced who can make this perform well enough that 400 connections at a time is possible on reasonable server hardware (like 2gb ram ideally).

2) We need to be able to enter in a list of IP addresses and corresponding hostnames to use to send the email from. This may be 5 IP addresses or 50 or more IP addresses. Each IP address will have a hostname. So for example we would list:
1.1.1.1 one.one.com
So if this IP address and hostname was listed in the configuration file then the MTA when using that IP/hostname would send the email from that combination so that the email header showed that IP address and that hostname as where the email was coming from.

3) We need to be able to specify how the MTA should use the IP/hostnames. The first option would be to specify to send X number of emails from an IP/hostname then move on to the next and so on rotating through each IP/hostname in the file then looping back to the top of the list once done. The second option would be to specify to use an IP for X hours before rotating to the next. So in this case if we specified 3 hours then every 3 hours the system would automatically rotate to the next IP/hostname in the list and then loop back to the top of the list once done.

The programming language that this should be written in is flexible and up to you. We are unsure at this point whether we should write this for Windows or Linux as we have experience in using both types of servers. Naturally Windows is easier for us to use however we know that Linux can perform better. Your suggestions as to what OS to develop this for is welcome however we’d like your suggestions on this so we can decide on this before development would begin.

The goal is to realize a very simple signal processing software. It shouldn’t take more than a few hours.

This app will take a single csv file, or a folder full of csv files, depending which is specified. Files will be comma delimited csv’s.

I need to be able to specify how many new csv’s are to be created per csv. Then specify how many random lines (min/max) each new csv will have..

ie.

1. I specify a csv file that contains 10,000 lines
2. I specify that i require 100 files
3. I specify a min/max of 500/1000

= The app creates 100 files that contains between 500 & 1000 random lines taken from the original file..

IMPORTANT – The random part of this app is very important !! The lines selected from the original file need to be completely random ! and i mean random !

It must also be FAST ! as i will be selecting a folder with hundreds of csv’s, each one containing tens of thousands of rows.

The csv’s created will output to a output folder thats specified..

App2 – keyword mixer for sub domain names
I use a lot of domains, and also alot of subdomains on each of those domains. I need a simple app that will help me create random named subdomains for my domains.

The app will basically consist of 3 columns, 2 columns for keywords (that will be mixed) and a column for the domain names.

I specify how many subs per domain
I specify how to mix columns A+B keywords.

The app will remove any duplicates, and clean any characters that are not AlphaNumerical or a hypen.

I have a Drupal 6 installation and I have set up multiple roles which have editing privileges.

I have everything configured the way I want and everything is working very well except that I only want the “Manager” role to be able to edit the taxonomy when editing a revision. For all other roles, I want to make the Taxonomy selection read only. Here’s a screenshot:

The “Authorized Editors” is a taxonomy term.

If the logged in user has the role of “Manager” or is the site administrator, they should be able to select multiple authorized editors. Otherwise, if the current user has the ability to edit the page, they should not be able to change the authorized editors taxonomy selection.

Please specify if you will hard-code the fix or if it will have a permissions setting in the user permissions admin area. I prefer a permissions setting so I can allow or disallow the ability to change authorized editors as needed.

Also specify if you will block all taxonomy changes or just the “authorized editors” taxonomy.

I need to get this done ASAP. Please specify when you can have it done.

I would like a program/script written in PHP and/or Java (or ANY other language) that will help someone locate instances of copyright infringement on the Internet of documents that the author has written.

This project would be divided into THREE PHASES.

In PHASE ONE of this project, you would develop the core program code. The program would do the following:

1. Search through a specified folder (on a web server’s hard drive) for any Microsoft Word, RTF, PDF, or plain text documents that may exist in that folder (and, optionally, any sub-folders). The software would then take a user-defined number of random samples of contiguous text (i.e., a user-defined number consecutive words) for EACH document in that folder/sub-folder).
a. The user should have the ability to specify the amount of “distance” (measured in words) between the samples that are taken, i.e. the user can specify that the samples are to be taken every 250 words, 500 words, 750 words, etc.
b The user should be able to select the document types that are searched for (Microsoft Word, RTF, PDF, or plain ASCII text documents).

2. The software would then take those samples (strings of text) and query Google.com and/or Docstoc.com (pre-selected by the user) to identify and find any matches (instances of copyright infringement).

3. For any matches are found, the software would then log:
a. the URL of the page on which the match is found
b. the TITLE of the html page on which the match is found
c. the file name of the source document from the user’s local hard drive
d. the date and time of the query in which the match was found on the offending web site
e. whether the match was found on Google.com or Docstoc.com
f. the exact string of text that was discovered on Google.com or Docstoc.com.

4. The log generated in #3 above should then be exportable as a comma delimited text file (CSV file). It should also be displayed on screen. The user will select if he wants to view the report on screen or export to CSV.

We need an event ticket checker for TicketMaster written using PHP/CURL to see if tickets are still available for an event we specify along with using specific options we specify such as number of tickets, price, and section.

(Please do not bid on this project until you actually see how TicketMaster works, this project will require most likely some javascript reverse engineering written in PHP in order to get form variables.)

Process of the needed script (everything should be written using PHP/CURL):

2) Scrape the form options and output a form that allows us to specify how many tickets we want to check for, the price, and the section. After we specify the options, we submit them.
3) Find tickets
4) Download and output the captcha to us, so we can solve it.
5) Submit the captcha result
6) Output whether tickets were available for the event and what seat numbers we were given or output that no available tickets were found.

I know this sounds like we are basically reproducing the ticketmaster form for no reason, but we are having trouble working around the javascript ticketmaster has put in place.

I need a dead-simple PHP proxy to show unique forms on remote sites. This proxy does not need to rewrite code. It is not intended to circumvent firewalls.

Proxy should:
-handle GET, POST
-throw a simple error if connection problem exist (eg. <h1>Error</h1> not socket connect failed on line 12345)
-support additional files: pdf, jpg/png/gif, javascript or CSS
-takes a default address I specify if no “file” is being requested:
api.domain.xxx/sync.php?referral=999999
(if form data was posted to proxy.php it will forward the data to this default address, and retrieve the result to show)
-securely limits requests to the one address I specify, so users cannot download or proxy remote files with it. That would be just foolish.

So the end user might view proxy.php. Since they are just VIEWING proxy.php, it will call up the DEFAULT remote address (eg. api.domain.xxx/sync.php?referral=999999)

proxy.php might find this data at api.domain.xxx/sync.php?referral=999999:

So because of this proxy.php will look for this “file” inside the directory I specify. proxy.php?file=logo.jpg would call up say api.domain.xxx/files/{$file}?referral=999999

When the form is submitted, it would POST the data to the proxy.php file, which will then post to the server address I specify in the file (api.domain.xxx/sync.php?referral=999999.) The user will never know of the remote server.

datafeed cleaner/organizer

I need a small app to clean and organize affiliate datafeeds (in bulk)..

I need to be able to specify columns to delete, columns to search&replace, and columns to clean of odd characters & html code.

1. I specify a folder to work with (each folder will contain lots of feeds – all will be in the same format)
1a. Specify an output folder
2. I specify what kind of datafeed files they are, .csv/.txt – tab/comma/colon/pipe/other delimiter
3. App shows the first couple of rows from one of the feeds. (all the feeds in the folder will be in the same format)
4. I specify the columns to keep, click go and the app deletes all the unwanted columns in every feed in the folder.
5. Search & Replace – Some feeds i may need to do a search & replace in, so need this option included.
6. Cleaning.. I need to be able to specify a column to clean. Then have checkboxes to specify what kind of cleaning to do..
7. Need to be able to change the order of columns

Discount needs to be different for each product in store and based on quantities & percent.

Need to be able to specify which product the discount applies to when the discount is set up in back end. Client must be able to edit this.

Be able to select more than one product that discount is matched with.

CURRENTLY (after a recent customization):
I am ABLE to specify the discount and the quanties.
I am UNABLE to specify which products those apply to or set different percent discounts for different products.
So currently the way it was set up – the discount is the same for all products in store and this is not going to work for the client.

I would like a simple system designed that will generate a hierarchial website for me that will have just a few dynamic elements that I specify for each page.

Basically I would like to be able to generate the framework for a site almost exactly like: www.bargainpurses.info

I can provide the php files for that site so that you can see how it all goes together. I would just like it setup so that I can enter keywords the the pages would then be provided for. I could then also enter the left navigation keywords that would automatically populate and link to the correct pages. I would like it to be multi level. So the first level of pages generated could be made to have a new set of navigation links linking to a second level of pages.

For exmaple The home page would have a navigation bar that would link to the main topics such as different brands of purses. Then on each of the dynamically generated pages of the purse brands there would be a different set of navigation links that I would specify for things within the brand. You will know what I mean by looking at the site I posted above.

The tool to generate these sites can be standalone or can be something that is uploaded to a server and the keywords and pages would be entered on an admin page or possibly a csv file. Whichever works easiest. I have to be able to specify the lowest price of auctions I want to display on each pag, the keyword(s) they would display for on each page and if I want to show adsense ads or other content on each page.

The main objective is to be able to build sites very similar to www.bargainpurses.info FAST. The framework should be very SEO friendly as well.
