Zabbix/cisco/snmp Config

November 21st, 2009 Comments off

We require the following to be executed on a properly installed and currently running Zabbix 1.6.7 server;

* Cisco 4506, this must be connected to Zabbix via SNMP and monitored
* SNMP General configuration, across 30~ hosts, completely new configuration will be made
* HP Insight Manager, Dell OpenManage SNMP agents must be monitored by Zabbix across 30~ hosts

Many graphs will be required to be setup, to show traffic, cpu load, and other performance information for many machines

This is a reasonable project, a seasoned Cisco administrator with experience w/Zabbix will be able to do complete this within 12-16 hrs with our assistance. Engineers from our side without experience in Zabbix will be standing by to assist and execute repetitive tasks across the ~30 servers in question.

I need a simple service compatible with windows that will listen for a certain SNMP message. When the message is received, it will then send out another SNMP trap in a different format.
