I have posted this project before, but unfortunately I did not succeed in finding someone who could do this job well enough to my liking. Even though several people made bids.

Background: I wrote a book and I illustrated it by simply lifting a few images from the internet.

Project: Now that this book is being officially published, I want these pictures redraw. Primarily to avoid copyright issues.

In the attachment (MS Word document), you will see the images. They need to be redrawn in such a way that I will not have any copyright issues and that the rendering (= the style in which they are drawn) is consistent (= similar in all 5 images).

Please note:

1. In want them *redrawn* (= drawn anew). Do *not* simply filter them through some graphical filters. The resulting images should be quite similar, but different enough that they qualify as new images.

3. Another option could be – though less likely – to find copyright free images similar to the ones I used, and then make them look similar (to eachother) using filters.

2. Your bid includes transferring the copyright of the redrawn images to me.

3. Please upload one of the images in redrawn form to show that you can do it. If I don’t select your bid, I will not use your work. If you don’t trust me – which I would understand – simply redraw *one half* of one or two of these images. Or add watermarks.

The modifications needed are purely cosmetic and simply involve some styling of the following pages:

In fact, I’m pretty sure that the changes needed to be made may simply be able to be made to all ‘infoboxes’, as a whole via css.

I am looking to have an interactive wall created for users to update as well as their friends.

I started building this project myself using Flex specifically with the Object Handles library with the database through mysql, but I do not currently have time to work on this full time and want to get it done.

Even though I have started it myself I would like this to be started from scratch in case you have a better programming language/setup to perform this in.

The user should be able to create an account, login, and have a blank pallette in front of them to work with. They should be able to add text, pictures, video, RSS feeds, Twitter feeds, etc. to their wall.
They should be able to easily resize text, pics, vid, etc buy simply dragging it to resize.

The user should be able to easily edit the text by simply clicking on it.

The user should also be able to easily change the color and font of the text. The images should maintain their aspect ratio as they are being resized.

The user then has the ability to accept and request friends like a facebook or myspace. The user can determine what type of access to give the friend. This should be very simple and straight forward as this should be a site for all to use. A friend can have access to simply just view the wall, add comments, and/or add text/images/vids of their own.

More than likely the wall will become cluttered over time which some may actually like as the wall could really end up resembling their own personal lifestyle, but for those that want a cleaner look, but don’t necessarily want to delete their content to make space they can have the option of fading content to the back either manually or with a timeline.

Manually is self explanatory, but with the timeline it would allow the user to only display their newer content, but with a simple slide of the timeline then older content would appear.

This is the basic idea of the site and there should be areas to view friends, mutual friends, send messages, etc. like facebook.

Our site is built in Drupal using Ubercart.

Our regular contractor is busy with some big PR opportunity, but these are his notes, so it’ll give you a first look at what needs to be completed and where he left off. By the way…previous guy wasn’t a Drupal guy, but was doing me a favor getting the work done. Anyway…I just wanted to note that since his notes makes it sound like a mess, I think it reflects some work, but more inexperience, no bash intended. He’s still awesome;)

From what I’ve seen, the default blog module allows for all users to create blog content, which of course is undesirable (all users, meaning your customers too.) There very well might be a way to make it so only admin users can use this… but I couldn’t see it.
so I found this:

which is basically instruction on how to do a drupal blog, BUT with limited “bloggers”. The downside is that to accomplish this it limits the people who can actually register… effectively eliminating the ability for customers to register at all. I’m having a very hard time getting this installed and working. So this is NOT a good solution.

I believe the trick is going to be using the default blog module, but figure out a way to limit the users who can post.

Ads:
The banner ad rotating deal seems like it will go REALLY well and is precisely what we’re looking for. I got it installed just fine, started setting things up, etc.. but then got to a point where I’m instructed to look under the help menu to find instructions on how to embed the ads on specific pages
(Administer -> “By module” tab -> then click on any “Get help” link)
All of those help links are broken. I searched all over for help with this, but can’t find any. I’m SOOO close on this, but for whatever reason I can’t access that documentation, and can’t find the content online.

If we can figure out why these links aren’t working, you’d be able to finish this one off.

Everything was done with the following exceptions:

- Meta Descriptions for store/product pages (Again, I simply cannot find a fix for this. I don’t know if it’s the way the store was built, or what, but for whatever reason the descriptions are not being rendered into the HTML.) I posted to the support forums, but I am not getting any response.

I found that option here:

but I deselected it and it doesn’t appear to have fixed the issue.

- “Visible call to action on every relevant page”. That was our banners. I can simply go through and put them in manually, but that banner ad module would make it much easier and give us the ability to track, give us statistics, etc. But if it comes down to it, you can simply place them in manually as you see fit. Its really simple project i think, so the price and time is very important for me.

I have a table/sheet in Excel I need to import into a database so I can work with it more efficiently. IU will have a # of ongoing add’l tasks once this is done as I have a lot of work to do after that (integrate/compare/relate to other tables mostly).

In a nutshell I have a main column which is set up as a hiearchy of data e.g
Group1
Group1.1
Group 1.1.1
Group2
Group 2.1
Group 2.1.1
Group 2.1.2
Group 2.1.2.1

etc.

except it was not #d as such, just done with indents. I have previously been able to get scripts that parse indents as levels so I know that can work.

So the first step would be simply to pull into a table where I can collapse/expand levels so I can simply *see* my data better.

I’d also like to easily be able to;
1) Add new data to any level and or change that level/indent/hierarchy easily

2) Move any given record up/down a level w or w/o it’s children.

Finally, because many records were supposed to belong to more then one hierarchy and I was using Excel, I made a column called ‘Add’ Parents’ where I would simply name the add’l assignment e.g. Group 1.2.1 might be assigned to Group 4.2.1.1 (again I did not name like this i.e. #s)

In a real db then that record would appear under both e.g
Group 1.2
Group 1.2.1
Group 4.2.1.1
Group 1.2.1

I’d like there for tthat column do do just that, to retain the values (so I can remove the re-asignemnt if I want) but also to appear where re-assigned.

There are a # of other columns which for now should simply travel with that record and keep their values which won’t be used for anything until subsequent tasks.

I can provide a sample of data if necessary, pretty straightforward though I just want to be able to work with what has become unwieldy (3,000 records, many indents, many add’l assignments) more easily and efficeintly, as i say more tasks to come.

We are looking for a very simple Flash interface that will randomly display photos from a specific web directory called “introphotos”. The photos will move, resize, randomly. We want the Flash intro to randomly pull photos from the folder. We will simply upload photos via our FTP, but the application should not be concerned with specific file names.

We would like the same exact effect as the Flash intro at http://www.ifandco.com/

The intro will also be the same exact width and height.

The scripting can be done in Actionscript 2 or 3. Additional Info (Added 4/16/2009 at 11:01 EST)…

I had a question from one bidder who asked what I meant by “the application should not be concerned with specific file names”.

Let me explain this:
We simply do not want to edit the Flash file or the actionscript to read the file names. The actionscript should either:

1. randomly select a file from the folder
2. or read an external XML file with the URLs of the photo files.

If you are good at programming Actionscript to read external XML files, that would be acceptable to us.

We simply do not want to have to edit the Flash file or Actionscript to enter the file names for the photos that display.

Please confirm back in your bids that you see this issue. This is simply fix. You must fix this for all pages as well. Must be able to start this ASAP. Also Can you make the forum have more then just one attachment option so if someone needs to use like 1-4 attachments that can do that.

I have a joke database with a pretty straightforward setup. Somehow my “view joke” and “view category” (ie – blonde jokes etc.) pages stopped working correctly, and I simply need a couple basic queries to toss into my template so that the correct content appears.

Possibly due to some heavy customization before, but for this project, all the side stuff (built in on-the-fly meta keywords etc) don’t really matter as the most important thing is, of course, getting the page to simply show the appropriate joke or category info. As it stands right now, the template looks fine, but the space where the joke should be appearing is simply blank.

Should be a breeze for any PHP and MySQL pro.

I currently have an existing website created using Photoshop and Sitegrinder and has integrated CMS that I am really happy with.

What I need is a custom designed Flash Guestbook that I can simply import into Sitegrinder and then integrate into my website.

This custom Flash Guestbook should be 637×453 pixels and have a background colour of #0000A0. The Text Should be in Arial ( or similar ) with heading text at 14pt.

The Flash programmer I hire for this project must visit my existing website ( www.missiondesign.co.nz ) to see current style and layout and then must create the custom Flash Guestbook in a similar ( blue background, white text, white fields &amp; blue text ) style.

The field layout of the Flash Guestbook should include necessary information and also include a button that enables the visitor to click on, which then enables them to see in another new scene all the actual entries in the guestbook from previous visitors.

This custom Flash Guest Book must be easily editable online as an administrator, so if any bad/junk messages are posted, they can be simply and easily.

The final custom Flash Guestbook supplied must be completely contained within the .swf file. I am a graphic designer not a programmer so I am not experienced in complicated setups. This guestbook must be really simple and easy to use.

The custom Flash Guestbook supplied must be supplied in a complete .swf file not an .fla., ready for me to simply import into my existing website.
