I need three PSD’s that need to be converted to a WordPress 3.1 theme. These should be W3C validated, table-less, optimized XHTML and CSS code. Compatible with all popular browsers including IE7 and IE8.

The three designs are:

Functions
The image at the top of these page designs should use the ‘Featured Image’ function that is available in wordpress. The menu bar should use the ‘Menus’ function.

The sidebar for the page template should list pages <?php wp_list_pages( $args ); ?> and include a page excerpt and an image from the ‘custom fields. It must also have support for widgets.

I am building a static site for a tourism group – it’s not a big budget project. I would like to add some simple functionality which would allow users to add details (telephone number, website etc) of hotels/activities they like to a sidebar. They should then be able to print or email the contents of that sidebar to themselves before they leave the site. There’s no need for a checkout system or to store the contents after they leave the site.

The idea is that the sidebar is hidden with a tab the user can click to reveal the list. (It must be on the right-hand side). When they see a hotel or activity they like, they should be able to click a “like” button which copies the contents of that particular hotel’s div in plain text to the sidebar (minus the image and description). They should be able to remove the content if they like.

The sidebar must be site-wide, so if they then go to another page, the sidebar content goes with them. They should be able to add as many hotels/activities as they like.

The sidebar should be fixed position, with scroll bars for any overflow.

I use only simple query animations across the site, so there shouldn’t be any conflict. I don’t mind how the sidebar is scripted (PHP, MySQL, jQuery, cookies), but it must degrade well (so users who can’t use it don’t see it).

I’ve only constructed two pages of the site as I didn’t want to go further until this aspect was dealt with. Having said that, I’d like this sidebar to easily fit in with what I already have, which is HTML (happy to switch to PHP if necessary), CSS and a some jQuery.

I have a little knowledge of jQuery and Javascript and can follow PHP code and I’d like to be able to understand and learn from how this sidebar functions! (Some basic instructions in the code would be great!)

I can’t post the online pages here but will of course share them if anyone chooses to undertake the project.

I am after a great WP plugin programmer (with excellent feedback here) to develop a WP plugin that will show all of the categories and posts within a WP blog (in the sidebar) in exactly the way that this site’s right hand sidebar does: rightvita dot com

ALL categories and posts within each category should be displayed there (obviously with links directly to them) BUT I would like the option of being able to deselect any post AND any category from sitewide display.

The plugin MUST also have a second setting option where all published posts are displayed in the right sidebar BUT categories are NOT displayed at all. Again, this setting should have the option to deselect any post.

The theme admin has option to display the sidebar on the homepage regardless of what page is set to it. For some reason the sidebar is not displaying despite selecting that option and putting content in the homepage sidebar widget.

Second hand market

I hired a programmer earlier this week to place a RSS, Facebook, and Twitter buttons going down the website vertically on WireValley.com

The problem is that these buttons only display on the homepage. I need them to appear on every page. I’m looking to hire someone to do this.

I would like this all removed and turned into an area where I can place a Facebook widget. Currently this widget is right below the random post/RSS section.

Next, going down the right-hand side of the website I would like to place 3 buttons that display RSS, Facebook, Twitter so people can follow me using any of these 3 methods. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED IMAGE to this project so you can see an example.

All of the design files are attached to this project in .jpg format. The specific functionality of each page is detailed below.

01-Home-Page
- the color photo in the wide page banner is a js slideshow. The slideshow images will fade transition every 4 seconds.
- The News section at the bottom of the page will be populated with excerpts from the two latest blog posts.
- Newsletter form will be removed, and in stead the user will just click a link to the signup page.
- The navigation bar includes dropdown menu styles in the PSDs, so you’ll need to code the WP nav to include dropdown menu support.

02-Wines
- The sidebar content should be manageable via a sub-page called sidebar-wines.php. All of the links in the sidebar will point to # (I will fix them later).
- You need to program the js to make the wine bottle image change when user hovers over one of the thumbnails. The text will also change on hover. If the user does not hover over the graphics, then they will auto-advance every 4 seconds with fade transition.

02a-Find-Wines
-This will just be a standard WP content page, but you must create all of the CSS styles as part of the theme CSS. So admin can easily edit this content without using inline styles.

04-Wine-Club
- Standard WP content page, with all of the CSS styles coded into the theme CSS. The sidebar of this page should be managed through a sub-page of the Wine Club page.

05-Family
- WP content page. Sidebar content will be a sub-page of the Family page.
- Notice the sub-navigation (Family | Meet the Family). This is also the contents of the dropdown menu that will appear when user hovers over the Family menu on the nav bar.

05a-Meet-the-Family
- These images will be managed via posts (post type=Family). Clicking a thumbnail will launch a lightbox called Meet-the-family-lightbox (see below)

05b-Meet-the-Family-Lightbox
- Contains the contents of the thumbnail that the user clicked in the Meet the Family page. The post content include title, job description, and paragraph text content. Also includes the Featured Image of the post.
- Notice the Previous/Next buttons in the bottom right.

06-Winery-and-Vineyards
- This is a content page with a sidebar. The sidebar content should be managed through a sub-page of the page it’s on.

06a-Meet-the-Team
- Functions the same as the Meet-the-Family page. The thumbnails and lightbox content will come from posts (posts type = Team).

06b-Regions
- This is a content page with a sidebar. The sidebar content should be managed through a sub-page of the page it’s on.
- Clicking a link in the sidebar will jump down to an html anchor in the page body (ex. clicking “Clements” in the sidebar will move the page down to the section in the content with the heading “Clements”)

- This is a content page with a sidebar. The sidebar content should be managed through a sub-page of the page it’s on.

- This content does not need to be managed via WP content editor. It can be hard-coded.
- When user hovers over a year, it gets larger (see PSD)
- When user hovers over a year, the main image swaps, and the content swaps.
- If user does nothing, the timeline auto-advances.

08-Contact
- This is a content page with a sidebar. The sidebar content should be managed through a sub-page of the page it’s on.

09-Directions
- This is a content page with a sidebar. The sidebar content should be managed through a sub-page of the page it’s on.

09a-Directions-Lightbox
- When the user clicks the image in the sidebar of the Directions page, this lightbox will appear.

10-Newsletter
- The Newsletter signup form will be generated by MailChimp WP Plugin

11-Trade
- User selects an item from the dropdown menu. When he selects an item, some icons will appear below the dropdown menu. The icons will be for the downloadable PDF docs that are associated with the menu item he selected.
- WP Admin must have a special page to manage this – manage the dropdown menu options, and the corresponding PDF files that appear for download. Each file will also have a name that appears.

12-Legal
- This is a content page with a sidebar. The sidebar content should be managed through a sub-page of the page it’s on.

ADDITIONAL:
- The blog design is not included in the project attachment, but it will be a very typical blog interface with main archive page, categories, and post page with comments. We will also have an Author avatar image.

I have a sidebar on my wordpress site that displays the same content on all pages.

I am looking for a developer who could create a custom sidebar to go on my welcome page only (for seo reasons). Please note: I still want to use my existing/current sidebar to display information for the rest of the pages.

Project milestones:
1. add code to site to create custom sidebar. If you need to add any css, please create and supply a separate css file (please do not add css to my default stylesheet).
2. supply a step by step word document of what you did so I can remove/alter sidebar for my liking. If this is a plugin then just whatever information I need to know to get plugin to work. (beside the click on activate button)

We are finishing our Magento based website and need help with some modifications:

1) Cart.
Store products in cart for a long period. After you add all items, cart stores products for no longer than 24 hours unless you register on website. We need to store products for longer, at least a month for users who don’t register on the website. We tried to adjust cookies, it did not work. May be it is something related to Cache. This part should be very easy for professional and very important for us.

2) Product pages design. We need to make all product pages Page Layout “2 columns with left bar”. It cannot be done manually because there are too many products. It is possible through DB query.

3) Static Blocks. We have created 3 static blocks for sidebar. We need to add them to all category, CMS and product pages.

4) Contact us page must work with SSL certificate. Certificate is already installed it is just a matter of changing http to https.

5) Default product quantity. Visit http://www.rt*aca*bine*th*ub.com/ready-to-assemble-kitchen/antique-white/wall-cabinets.html (remove *)
We need to make the default quantity for input field “1″ so instead of empty field the value must be 1. Same thing needs to be done with product pages.

6) Main Page Sidebar. If you visit main page, you will see sidebar, however, it was done by pasting html/css code; it is not dynamic like in all other pages. We need to replace this sidebar with regular sidebar like in all other pages.

Hi We currently have a custom wordpress theme that is largely based on a left sidebar and content col. We would like to change this theme to a

1. Mixture of no left sidebar / no right sidebar. Thus we will need:

A CSS dropdown menu from top menu from top navigation bar.
Alteration of the ” content div ” css etc.

2. We wold also like an ” internal” to the new content div sidebar template for certain cases and for this internal div.

3. An analysis of the content Divs CSS code to see where it can be simplified from a data entry ( population ) point of view and from a useability point of view . This will require an in depth CSS knowledge. You will most likely be comfortable with hand coding CSS , be familiar with useability concepts and be able to ammend/ manipulate in photoshop existing theme graphics to suit the modified theme layout. ( eg rollover states etc. )

This is a quick and easy job for someone familiar with WP themes. I have a custom theme which works perfectly on a particular domain. I have transferred the theme to a new domain and now have a problem…

Basically the sidebar, top and bottom widget areas show up correctly on all pages except for the individual article post pages. I haven’t changed anything and the theme still works fine on the original site so this will be a very simple issue, most likely a setting or piece of code which hasn’t copied across properly.
