I have a custom PHP script that I coded myself. I am having trouble modifying the current image uploading function to expand its capabilities. I’m sure it is something VERY EASY that I am just overlooking! I just need a helping hand from a fellow coder.

Here is what the current function does: (upload.php gets called in a frame)

1) User can upload an image (only extentions: jpg, png, gif) and it is moved to the /images folder on the server. (one at a time)
2) In another area, ALL the images located in that folder are placed in a drop-down list (<Select></select>)
3) Actually, there are 2 identical drop down lists, because the user can use a 2nd (optional) image in the output file.
4) The list is alphabetized.
5) I plan for it to list the last 5 images uploaded first, and THEN have the regular list after it. It’s easy. So easy I haven’t done it yet, lol.

Just to make sure you are reading this project in its entirety, the new code word is “Kahlan” and ignore the next secret word at the end of the project listing.

As you can imagine, if there are 200 images, that drop-down box will be HUGE! I need to find a way to make it manageable. I have thought of using “category” folders inside the upload folder, but how to implement it in the drop-down?

What is your take on this? How would you solve the problem I have described? Remember, this is a custom collection of PHP functions and pages, written by a beginner coder. For now, it’s very choppy, but it works BLAZING FAST.

The launch sequence should be like this.

*Program is sent to persons PC by me -
*Person executes the exe file.
*Exe file loads itself, contacts to my server, from where it gets all the information.
*Program then opens iexplorer,firefox or opera (probably fakes its browser code)
* Selects one of the URL chosen by me (10 variables)
*Goes to my URL, fills out the field required
* if needed continues to second page and fills this out also
*If needed then repeats the part from selecting one of the URL and fills out information with the same data from mysql database or selects new one
*After successful usage of information from MySql database, program marks this information as used and wont select it again

This is a very complex website our company needs designed. No templates. Custom designed from start to finish we will own all files. Non-disclosure, non-comptete and confidentiality agreement will need to be signed from winning bidder for trade secret idea.
