The box and search results should be themeable so that the colors can easily be changed

A number of changes required to the standard easydirectorymanager installation. In order of importance:

1. Allow creation of a basic listing package where advertisers details are returned in search results but it is not possible to click through to a detailed description page for the advertiser.

2. Format order of search results so that the basic listings (see above) appear below all other paid packages.

3. Include advertisers email address in the search results page.

4. Some other cosmetic / layout changes.

This bid is for a real estate search engine similar to Enormo.com, combined with a social network.

Here are the components of the project:

Property Listings:
Listings will come from our current db, Multiple Listing Feed, Foreclosure Feed, Google Base API, Oodle API, Nestoria API, Ebay API, Feeds from advertisers, Scanning other real estate sites on demand.

The current database must be imported and matched to the new database.

There will be some conditions &amp; restrictions on API listings.
MLS listings will appear at the top of search results, then land.net db listings, then others. Google Maps will be used to show location of properties in search results. Search results pages will show a Google map with location of properties.

Listing detail pages will show description, images, Google map and have lead capture form. Leads will be sent to advertisers and be accessible on their admin page.

Unregistered users will be able to save viewed listings to temporary watch list. Registered members will be able to save viewed listings to permanent watch list.

Registered members will receive email updates when listing matching there wants appear in the database

Social Network:
Simple social network tied in with listings. Each member should be able to Post a short profile, Post photos, Post embedded videos from YouTube, Display their listings, Display their want list, Network with other members, Create &amp; Join Groups, Post Blog

Member Admin Page:

Hi, thanks for looking at our project!

We are an auto classifieds web site. The web site’s search feature is run by a very simple perl script (search.cgi, attached) which queries the vehicle data that is contained in a tab-delineated, text flatfile database (not sql). The script returns results into an HTML “match template”, or a “nomatch” page if there are no results. The query is passed through the search URL. It’s very simple.

You can see an example of how this currently works by going to http://www.autopages.com/ and typing an automotive search term into the search box at the top.

Here’s what we need — we would like to to add several new capabilities to this search script:

1.) a “sort by” feature at the top of search results, that allows users to sort results by year, price, etc.

2.) Links for search results pages. In other words, if there are 32 records found in a search, and results are returned 10 per page, the results page should be able to have links to page 2 (results 11-20), page 3 (results 21-30), and page 4 (results 31-32). On any given page, the current page number should be displayed as a non-link, and the other pages should be displayed as links. This is something very typical, of course.

3.) If any vehicle in the search results contains “F” in column 11 of its record in the database, an icon should be displayed on that record in the search results. Any record that does not contain “F” in column 11 should not display this icon.

4.) Finally, we would like to have an “add to favorites” feature. Every record displayed in the search results should have a link that, when clicked, causes it to be added to a “favorites” list for that site user. We would like to do this the simple way, with cookies, NOT with a login system. There should be a “favorites” page that can be accessed through a link, and on this “favorites” page, the listings should contain links that allow them to be removed from the favorites list.

So, that’s it — those are the four things we need.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
I realize that all of this can be done easily by simply replacing the search script with a new one — there are hundreds of scripts with these features already written, and available for free. However, what we need is for OUR script to be modified with these new features. The reason for this is that, although it’s simple, our script contains many small functions that are customized to our site and very important — for example, it rewrites photo URLs, constrains overflow text, reformats prices, etc.

So, it’s important to us to retain our current script. We just want these new features added on to our current one. So please, no replacement scripts.

The attached archive (files.zip) contains the search script (search.cgi), the setup file (setup.pl), the database (database.exm) and the match template, so you can see how it all works. It’s very simple.

When they sign up they need to be able to add an unlimited number of domains to their account. I also want the user to be able to customize the term if they want to so if someone goes to fastcars.com and the affiliate wants the term to be “corvettes” then it will pull search results for “corvettes” instead of “fast cars” from search feed. I also need the users to be able to add text at the top and bottom of the results/landing page and have search results in the middle. If they have rss feeds they want to add they need to be able to do that as well. They will also need to be allowed to add up to 2 pictures on the landing/results page. It will use xml feeds from the ppc search affiliates above to display the search results so that they can be indexed by search engines. It will allow me to choose how many results I want to display from each ppc affiliate and list all search results from highest to lowest paying per click.

The program will perform 4 different type of searches: a web search (using the ppc affiliates listed above), a product price comparison search (using datafeeds from commision junction, shareasale, linkshare, performics, shopzilla, Amazon, eBay, kolimbo and shopping.com), a job search (using xml feeds from indeed.com) and a coupon/rebate search (using datafeeds from commision junction, shareasale, linkshare, performics, shopzilla and shopping.com – if possible).

The program/application/script should allow for a place to copy and paste the information for the following pages: Privacy Policy, About us, Terms of Service and create a contact us form and a choice of adding a link to the bottom of the home page and any page.

All results pages for any type of search should be optimized for search engine indexing and ranking.

The web search and job search results pages should list results just like organic search results and have a place in the program to add Adsense code or Yahoo Publisher code for a “Sponsored Listings” section down the right side of the results pages.

The application/script will also have a toolbar that can be downloaded by users, that will include all of the above functions and will display the results on site the application/script will be installed on.

This toolbar will be a seperate software that users can download that will serve one related pop-up or pop-under for every search queary from the tool bar or any search engine so that I can sell pop up advertising. It will not be hidden and shall be easy to remove from the users computer by going to the add/remove programs in windows. It shall be compatible with windows explorer and firefox.

The script will have an interface where advertisers can sign up for an account and purchase pop-up or pop-under ads by bidding on keywords or domain names. When the advertiser logs into their account they will set up their own campaigns with the following options:
