This script works as is, but I’d like to have an additional function available to me.

What this function needs to do is delete and add an rss feed or overwrite an rss feed. The existing code dynamically builds divs to display each news item. if the delete and add solution is used, these divs will need to be deleted too. I’d just like to overwrite the exiting array of newsitems with a different set if this is possible. So basically, request a feed from Google using the URL param and overwrite the existing feed items with the new feed items. I’m not picky on how it’s done, it just has to work.

There are two external js files and an inline js. It also relies on Googles RSS API to supply the news feeds. I’m guessing one or both the external scripts will need some modification.

Have some questions which am willing to pay for the information:

Firstly:
We are designing a portfolio with a very similar concept to this site:

The homepage design will be just as simple. For the navigation there will be 3 menu links – About, Latest Work and Contact. Using jquery, the About content/page will scroll in from the left, Latest Work scroll down from above and Contact in from the right. See ‘structure’ image attached for clearer explanation. It is a little like this site, but not confined to a section, it will be the whole content/page size – http://www.charliegentle.co.uk/.

The designer is creating the site in .psd which will then be converted. The navigation of the site will use jquery and will move the content over a static background image.

Here are the questions/issues:
1. What size should the designer design the homepage so there is no scroll, when optimised for a resolution minimum of 1024 x 768. I believe the average content space within a browser at this resolution is 1008×600. So does he need to design the page to these dimensions?

2. If the designer designs the site to 1008×600 for example, when a visitor is viewing the site with 1680×1050 res will there be spaces either side of the width? This would mean the navigation idea will not look as effective.

3. Is there a way to set the homepage with no scroll and still keep the navigational functionality how we want it – in all resolutions 1024×768 and above?

I have the page layout complete, and have an image file that shows how I would like the scrolling images to appear in. The key is when people come to the page I want the scrolling script to automatically start scrolling to the left and once it is done, bounce back and scroll to the right. I addition, I want the arrows in my image file to work so when someone mouses over them it changes the direction the images are scrolling.

So insert a script that allows thumbnails
to scroll horizontally in header, when a thumbnail is clicked on
user gets a LIGHTBOX script to display 600×600 full size version
of thumbnail, with CLOSE and NEXT navigation options

I will edit the script to embed it into my website, but just need something to get me started. I found a few image scrolling scripts with lightbox online, but none of them scroll automatically, you need to click the right or left buttons.

I have attached a picture to show you better what I am talking about and where I will embed the script. I’ll need someone to provide me a demo of the script working so I can backtrack the code and apply it to my website. Thank you.

This is a program to display the status of the Caps Lock key as well as the Num lock or Scroll lock key on the diaplay screen. It also uses the option to verbally indicate the status on or off in english, it also uses colors selectable by the user. It employs an ability to reposition the indicator on the screen if the mouse moves into the indicator, so as to bounce it out of the way. It should not interfear with the normal operation of the PC, must run on XP, Vista, Win 2003 Server, Win 2008 Server, Win 7. The size and opacity will be user adjustable in a master settings screen. Also the indicators may or may not show letters in addition to indicate on or off for each keyboard function. I will post a mockup design soon.

The mandatory attributes for function are as
follows:

1) Indicator ICON panel must be re sizable by the
user width wise up to about 4 inches across maximum
to less than one half inch wide minimum, a slider is
suggested, but presets are also good.
2) The Indicator ICON panel must be re sizable height
wise up to about 4 inches high maximum to less than
one half inch high minimum, a slider is suggested.
So the maximum size for the panel is four inches x
four inches and minimum is half an inch by half an
inch.
3) The Indicator ICON panel must consist of one, two
or three image panels adjoined side by side. Each
panel appears when the user selects any one or more

state. As a default when the software is installed

The unit installs with the audio as an selectable
install option and will talk in English when the

5) As a default the images will hold a letter image
either “C” for Caps lock, “N” for Num Lock or “S”
for scroll lock. This image will size accordingly
with the images. This feature is selectable to be on
or off if set by the user in the selectable options
panel.
6) The display will will have an “opaque” or “Cling”
or “Bounce” or thumbtack lock positioning
characteristic. The user can adjust to turn less
“opaque” or “Cling” or “Bounce” using the selectable
options panel and the “Lock Position” setting using
a mini thumbtack icon positioned in the right
corner. The characteristics of the opaque setting is
that the Indicator ICON panel will exhibit “see
through” qualities and not move when the mouse
hovers over it. The characteristics of the cling
setting is that when the mouse hovers over the
Indicator ICON panel the icon will move or reappear
on the opposite side of the screen. After the mouse
moves away the Indicator ICON panel will move back
after 30 seconds. In the “Bounce”setting the
Indicator ICON panel will move away and stay away
until the mouse is repositioned over it. The panel
will also use a mini thumbtack icon in it’s upper
right corner to allow the user to lock it in it’s
current position.
7)The Indicator ICON panel will start out in the
right lower corner of the screen with an icon to
allow menu option in the menu tray.
One option available for the The Indicator ICON
panel will be to blink on and off with the rate
adjustable from within the selectable options panel.
9) There will be options to switch the start off
point from any one corner of the screen; lower left,
lower right (default), upper left or upper right.
This is adjustable from within the selectable
options panel.
10) The Indicator ICON panel will have my company
name along the bottom edge of the panel which can be
switched off if the software is registered.
11) The Indicator ICON panel will work for only one
hour if it is not registered and remind the user to
please register before it vanishes. The reminder
will be rapid and not lingering.
12) The colors of the six states are selectable by

We need to have someone add an auto-scrolling feature to our site. To understand what we need please look at the example below. We need the 3 thumbnails below the large banner to auto-scroll. This section also needs an arrow on each side so someone can manually scroll through the thumbs. If you roll-over the thumbnails, you’ll notice that there is already javascripts added to it. We need to keep this functionality and add the manual/autoscroll to it. The scroller must scroll through one thumb at a time with a smooth easing motion.

I have a site A (my domain under my control) with an iframe from site B (not my domain; I have NO control over this site). The iframe height is 4000 to 6000 pixels.

There are dozens of links inside the iframe of site B for most of the pages. If a visitor scrolls down to the bottom of a list of links inside the iframe and he clicks on one of those links, a box pops up inside the iframe at the top, but the browser scrollbar does not scroll to the top of the page.

What I would like to happen is this:
When the visitor clicks on a link within the iframe, the browser will open that link inside the same page on site B so that he will have left my site A.

If this is not possible I would like the visitor to be brought back up to the top of the page when he clicks on a link within the iframe.

I have tried all the basic Javascript techniques for accomplishing this with no success.

This must work across multiple browsers (IE 8,7,6; FF 3,2; Google Chrome; Safari) and Windows and Mac based systems.

I wish to make some changes to the scrolling bar (the one across the top with the small gorillas) on www.grumpygorilla.co.uk.

What I need to do is:

1. Set the gorillas such that when they first appear you can scroll in both directions, with gorillas appearing under the left and right arrows (see attached image). If this is possible, can we set the exact positioning i.e. what was centred.

2. Keep the gorilla navigation position after you have clicked on the link. i.e. If you have scrolled across to sport nutrition and clicked on it, can the scroll bar stay in the same position as when you clicked on it rather than going back to the original position (with the offers on the left).

I have a logo project for someone who is good with Photoshop.

I’m looking to have someone develop a script that can have the user post in several different feilds specific data which the output code would be placed on their website. Without going into too much detail, I need something that will create a flash driven dispplay(somewhat like slide.com) only with text and images rotating..

The chosen designer will need to sign an NDA as well.

Would like it to be able to be modified by the webmaster and they can put in their own specific data

I also would like the ability to have video embed code, to where people can watch the videos and or scroll through them.

Each blurb will display for 5-10 seconds (this option should be able to be edited within the script) and then the blurb will show up. Or within the script you can take it off of auto scroll, and put it on manual, and on the main page, on either side of the box, would be a left or right arrow, and the user can scroll through the blurbs at will.

Also, I want to own the rights to the script, and be able to sell it myself.

Within the script, I’d like to be able to have a place where I can put the name of the website (any of my websites) for the script to point back to… In essence so that if the person puts the output up on their site, the script itself will point back to my site of choice. (this could be right below the box to the right, saying something like “powered by xxxxxxx.com” and have this pointing back to my site

This would be a desktop application that would output the data, and they could then copy and paste it to their site.

I’d also like the ability to have an online version like slide.com has, but again, this won’t be “Just” pictures, there will be text, etc.

I have an existing Javascript function that does text search functions on a Textarea component. I can search first, search next and search previous. I also have Case and Whole word checkboxes.

It is all working except for one thing: if the word in the text in the textarea is not visible because it is at the bottom of the textarea, the search will not scroll the text up into view where it can be seen in the textarea.

I am trying to make this work in the latest versions of IE, FF, Opera and Windows Safari. So far, IE is the only browser that can automatically scroll the text into view with the word highlighted. The other 3 browsers do not scroll the text into view.

I’m looking for someone to modify my JS code so that all four browsers can find word(s) that are not in view in the textarea and cause the textarea to scroll the found word(s) into view, highlighted.

I have attached a working sample of my JS function in an html file.

Four little contract jobs on two existing sites:

1. Attach Forum (preferably phBB) to http://uluwatugeckoinn.com/
Enter all appropriate Admin settings. Secure the Forum against spambots. And, allow 2 hours of your time to teach client to use Forum admin tools. Also, install an auto email bookings reminder to Owner re accomodation bookings from the existing site calandar.

2. Attach Forum (also preferably phBB) to http://www.gangstasurf.com plus settings and anti-spambot as above.

3. On just said gangsta site … go to page … http://www.gangstasurf.com/gangstaworldonline.html … see the little arrow (hard to see) near foot of page … it’s a horizontal scroll for different “lady tees” products:

(a) change that manual scroll to either an automatically moving horizontal scroll or different product fade-in and fade-out in order to get “eye catching movement”.

(b) two other pages for mens shirts and jeans require same treatment as in (a)above.

(c) also list each product in static non-moving form at foot of the respective product pages with appropriate Size, Color and Buy Now links (similar to existing top of page).

4. Create a “Free Stuff” box under Gangsta World menu linked to a new page that you will design showing Gangsta Posters for free download (we provide you with all the Posters).

Image browser application for JAVA MIDP mobile phones should have following features:
1. Support GIF/JPG/PNG (any one) format
2. Title to be displayed when starting the application. When user press a key then app start showing images sequentially from memory card or from phone
3. Auto/manual vertical scroll big images. Each image scroll from middle of the screen to top of the screen just like crawling credits shown at end of movies.
4. Auto/manual goto next image when scroll complete
5. Play an audio file (MP3/AMR) during each image scroll (Optional, please quote separetly for this feature).
6. Image must be displayed in full screen (hide all menu/border).
7. Approx number of images is 600. Predefined index (100 images) is also required so that user can select and jump to predifined images directly.

Must support Java MIDP 1.0 and 1.1 so that it can be installed on any mobile phone with Java MIDP support.

Installer is required to install application in phone and copy images/audio files in separate directory in phone/memory card.
