I have an existing import script that is not transfering data properly.
Need some quick fixes for project that was developed in PHP and using a MySQL Database running on a Linux Server as a Cron job.

When full tested the transfer should be automatedng or somehow be notified when the scrapper crashes so I can reboot.

I have a desk application for a scraper it worked few months. But the website change some formats and the scraper do not stock any more the info on excel. Only if yourself you have already built a scrapper.

DATA SCRAPPER for business website

I would like to scrap a few websites. These are simple websites of one company with different locations. I need to scrap the location details and hours of operation of each store the company owns.

Needs the ability to go into each page in the section i chose, and grab out phone numbers.

Some phone numbers will be traditional in ads like 123-456-7890 others may have the numbers surrounded by symbols.

So your script should go on the page and grab all numbers and deliver them to a txt file or database on each line. Hopefully u can figure how to make it grab the phone numbers mainly.

I need somebody with data mining experience that can create a fast script to run on my computer or on a server.

The mining script (data scrapper) will work with Amazon.

Programmer must have previous Amazon data mining experience using AWS.
I am tired to explain how this should work if you didn’t do it ever before.
There is no point to bid on this project because you are a “fast learner”. Sorry, there is no time for that!

Project Specifications:

This script must be able to parse Amazon obeying their specific rules and conditions, to avoid being banned.
Speed for running this script (using multi-threads) is required – the total number of items mined will be between 5,000 and 10,000. My requirement is mining 3000 items/hour minimum!
The script should be capable to extract specific data, manipulate keywords, work with some pricing filters and give me an output with a specific .txt, tab delimited format.

If Windows solution is proposed as a desktop application, the script should work in Vista 64 bit environment.

Does the source code cost extra? If not specified in the bid otherwise, I assume that at the end I’ll receive a copy of the coding.

I am open to programming language suggestions.

This project is rather simple.

The successful programmer will create a program that will do the following:

1. Spider popular.ebay.com/ and all its pages within that section.
2. Extract each category with the keywords that are within it.
3. The original terms stored in one field, then have the terms checked for invalid characters like ‘#/?* and removed before being stored in another filed in the MySQL database.
4. The program will recheck the terms once every week and add any new terms to the database (cron job). Date the terms were added should be made available as a separate field.
5. The program will also check to see if any terms have been removed and tag it accordingly as a removed item, but do not remove it from the database.
5. Navigating the db I should be able to give options to sort by:
– Category
– Alphabetical
– Date Added
– List All Terms
– List Removed Terms (based on date after query)
– List New Terms (based on date after query)
– Ability to remove specific categories from being included in Sort (eg. If I want all terms except for terms in Real Estate and Tickets to be displayed)
6. The database should allow for additional fields and customization to be added for other programs to potentially use the information. ie. field available for tagging if a keyword has been used with a website or not. Field for how many times its been used. Field available for adding related keyword terms.
7. Ability to download list of terms in txt or cvs format.

This is all there is to it… I have a script that is similar to this already with a mysql database and sort features and such, but it works with yahoo shopping, and has the added ability to include related terms to each.

If you are willing to do a modification of this existing script so that it works on this ebay page as well, then I will add an additional $100 to the project.

If you are willing to also add the same function but include amazon.com Best Sellers (www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/) and take the product names of each category top 100 from there, I will add an additional $200 to the project also.
