Javascript Scientific Formula Calculator

September 11th, 2011 Comments off

Hello Programmers,

Currently looking for a quick javascript calculator. This calculator must be able to write out full formulas before it is equated. Would do this all myself but I dont have the time as I have other projects to attend too…

Please look at this website for an example which is done in flash:
http://www.mathsisfun.com/scientific-calculator.html
(Click the Sample button to view how you can fully input formulas)

Also, instead of scientific formulas being immediate functions, in the calculator input, let it write out in raw form.
Ex. 2+3+sin(5) would be inputted on the calculator as:
Click press 2
Click press +
Click press 3
Click press +
Click press sin, which will open sin(
Click press 5
Click press ), so they can close the open sin.

The formula and answer will be in 2 different form fields.

If you do not understand, please inform me.

Not looking for any design work so just use basic form fields in the html when providing me with the code.

The basis of this calculator should be simple, just make sure the formula is correctly evaluated according to proper math standards.

Budget: $50-$75

Articles For Website

June 2nd, 2009 Comments off

I require 95 articles (guides) for my website, broken out into 7 different categories. The information for these articles is available on several other sites (many which I can supply). The articles must be unique, as the specific community is relatively small and copying/plagurism would be immediately evident, however simple rewriting or rewording of the currently available information is fine as these guides are factual, not opinions.

The average article length will vary, with the minimum being 250 words. A picture is required for each article, and must be specific to the article contents – IE: a picture of species A at the top of the article for species A.

All articles/guides must have all metadata information, including description, keywords, and robots (set to index, follow) completed and specific to each article

- All articles will be need to be input directly into a Joomla based website. I have created the sections and categories already, and defined which articles need to be placed where in the site.
- All articles must be written in English, with proper spelling and grammar throughout
- I will provide publisher capability to the developer directly on the site to accomplish their task.
- Once completed all articles will be come the sole property of purchaser and are henceforth copyrighted.
- Full payment for the project will be placed in escrow prior to the project beginning.

Articles must contain appropriate information broken down into sections. Definitions of the articles, and specific sections are outlined below.

Project must be completed within 2 weeks.

Articles are needed for the following species:

Orchid Mantis – Hymenopus Coronatus
Boxer Mantis – Ephisestiasula
Gambiam Spotted Eye Flower Mantis – Pseudoharpax Virescen
Devil’s Flower Mantis (Thistle Mantis) – Blepharopis Mendica
Budwig Mantis – Parasphendale Affinis
Giant Asian Mantis – Hierodula Membranacea
Wide Armed Mantis – Cilinia Humeralis

2) Section – Care
- Categories – species care guides(a)
3) Section – Mantid Basics
- Categories – General Praying Mantis Information(a), historical information(b)

Articles/guides required: (note: the number/letter in brackets (1b etc) indicates the placement within the content. So (1b) would mean that article/articles would be placed in section – breeding, category – breeding basics)

Please note article/guides are used interchangeably here, but the content items should be labeled as guides

1) breeding basics guide (1b) – overall breeding basic information that is non-species specific (how to mate, introducing male/female, habitat for ooth laying) (1 article)
- should be one article, with subsections
2) Ooth guide – basic Ooth (Oothecae or egg case) care information(1b) (1 article)
- should be one article, possibly with subsections
3) species ooth care guides(1a) (23 articles)

6) Species information article (23 articles)
- should be one article/guide for each species
7) Release list (list of species that can and cannot be released into the wild in North America, broken down by Canada/US)(3a)
- should be one article, with subsections if needed – a list with yes/no or checkmark/X would be fine

More guide/article details:

- Each guide will be labeled in this manner:
Common name Praying Mantis ooth care guide

- Breeding guides should cover mating readiness, time taken, process, ooth laying time after mating, incubation (this would be very similiar to ooth care guide for species), and hatching (I can provide some links for details)
- Each item must identify the species by its common and scientific name at the top, with its scientific classification:

Example Scientific classification of Orchid mantis:
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Insecta
Order: Mantodea
Family: Mantidae
Genus: *Hymenopus
species *Coronatus
* the genus and species are the only things that change and are provided in the list of species I want covered in this project!!

Fifty News Rewrites 3-5dols Ea

May 22nd, 2009 Comments off

I need someone to rewrite a total of 50 news articles, at the rate of about 5-10 articles per week. The topic is: POWER PLANT SAFETY AND ENERGY POLICY.

MUST BE IN USA with a CNN-level understanding of US politics and some level of science aptitude. MUST HAVE EXCELLENT US GRAMMAR. If it is clear that you have BAD GRAMMAR, no understanding of US government, or no scientific aptitude, I will cancel project and give you a bad review, so please do not bid unless you can address these issues. This writing is for an authoritative .ORG

I know how difficult it is to get your first job on scriptlance, so I AM WILLING hire someone with a ZERO scriptlance rating as long as you can demonstrate that you can meet my criteria.

I can pay you weekly for up to 10 articles. If you fall behind, I will not pay for you to catch up. If you can stick with this consistently for at least five articles a week, I may want to do this for more than the 50 articles you are bidding on.

The process is:
1. Each week, go to my RSS feed page on my website
2. Pick a recent feed article and read the full article(s) that they link to
3. Write a 100% original 500+ word article on the topic using the information in the news articles
4. Pick a search-engine-friendly title for the article (something people are likely to search on)
5. Include two appropriately sized openly published photos from the web in the article, often of the people or the facilities involved.
6. Verify that your article is >500 words and completely original by using copyscape (I will give you access to my account).
7. Upload your article to my joomla website (similar to wordpress or any blog system), and then copy the intro paragraph into the description metatag, and copy keywords into the keyword metatag.

You may quote people, but keep each quotes down to 20 words or less, and try to use shorter versions of quotes than others may be using or break them up different (ie. offerred Mr Smith).

I expect to pay about $3-5 per article for this. All bids are private so please give me info on: (1) Where you live, (2) When you went to high school/college, (3) any prior experience with scientific or political writing. This info is critical to my decision-making process.

This is something that anyone who watches CNN can do, because even if the other articles are technical, I do not want to be technical in our articles. I seek scientific aptitude mostly to make sure that you don’t completely mess up a scientific concept when you put it other words.

Even if this stops at 50 articles, if this works out, we employ dozens of writers for our various web projects, and there will no doubt be other work for excellent writers.
