Should know something about RTMP live Streaming

I have a finished and working video browser system built with a flash menu applet that reads an XML file, and makes simple javascript calls to a shadowbox popup (overlay) which then plays flv videos in jwplayer.

Without changing the Flash applet (XML can change somewhat), I wish to add the following features and capabilities:

1 convert the output to jquery+flowplayer, with a video popup overlay similar to examples at the flowplayer site. There are many source code examples at flowplayer.org

2 serve videos from my existing MaxCDN account using RTMP with a secure token. I already have the videos served via maxcdn in http mode. Secure token capability will be added to this account. The RTMP version of Flowplayer must be used and configured for RTMP and secure token. support.maxcdn.com has information on how to get this to work.

3 create a permission system in PHP so that this flash applet cannot be iframed (or integrated) except by approved websites. Referrer checking will probably work fine, I have already tested it, but I am open to suggestions about the best way to do this. If referrer’s domain is not on an ‘approved domain list’ display a message and a contact-us form from an external/existing website.

4 As video play is initiated, add a video play request event should be added to the database with date/time, approved domain, video identifier.

5 Using the flowplayer content plugin, I wish to use cuepoints to display a small translucent html message overlay with text and a link, over the video for a few seconds shortly after the video begins and again at a midpoint in the video. The text message and link should be unique to each site on the ‘approved domain list’. So if google.com is approved, and this applet is iframed at google.com then this momentary caption for all videos will say “thanks for visiting google.com + link” or whatever html is in the database associated with that approved domain.

6 The video overlay div background color should be passed from the approved domain list. It is currently gray in the demo. Also the Flowplayer (commercial version) logo overlay png should be passed from the approved domain list.

7 Videos must auto close at completion and return to menu system. This is working currently and must be preserved. All functions must be validated in all popular browsers.

I am able to maintain/enhance PHP code, but I am not so good with Javascript. I know that some original JS will be required for integration, but for most program logic I prefer that it be done in PHP. At some point I will wish to manage/update the database from within Joomla, so if possible keep that in mind during the design.

How to embed such swf to be masked from coming from a different domain?

We have an flv player that we use to play short (30 sec – 1 minute) clips. However, when we play the clips online, the videos do not run smoothly – they pause briefly, stutter, hiccup etc. This is variable and doesn’t always happen, but seems to happen pretty consistently on first play. Videos are hosted on amazon s3, and played using http.

We need these videos to play smoothly. Sample videos that are not playing smoothly can be viewed on http://www.yourbestsalesrep.com

My understanding is that the issue is the bandwidth – videos are being downloaded slower than they are playing.

To fix this we need one or both of the following solutions:

1. add a preload buffer to the player (but we don’t want to display anyhing, it must preload invisibly), the duration of which can set by external parameters. Or better still, the buffer sets itself according to the speed of download to ensure they whole video can be played smoothly.

2. enable the player to be able to stream from a true streaming server.

Please bid on one or both of these solutions, giving your reasons for your choice.

I am looking for a flash programer to make a flash rtmp aac+ and acc audio player. The live stream source is shoutcast. Programmer has to setup a wowza server properly. The player has to play a recorded mp3 audio clip first and then the live streaming. COnfig .xml file needed to setup mp3 audio intro URL and the shoutcast stream’s URL. This is for using the player in several radio station’s shoutcast streams in AAC or AAC+

We have a simple flash player that can play FLV files from a RTMP host server. we need to make this player a little advanced.

right now the player has flv file name and rtmp server value hard-coded , you need to make it dynamic so the swf file can take arguments that supply values of flv files and server name. so flv file nameand rtmp server should not be hard coded anymore. QUICK JOB FOR SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

we are in need of a flash pop-up video application, which “pops” a small ad OVER a page when someone visits the page, and then plays a video inside the ad.

the video automatically plays upon the load or refresh of the page.

ideally, the video would be specified with an rtmp URL so it could stream from our content delivery network as a streaming flv file.

here is an example rtmp spec for one of our videos:

we need an option to set the ad to either play once per visit, or every time the page is loaded or refreshed by the visitor.

we need a variety ad shapes (round, square and rectangular)and various specified sizes (428×240 would be largest size).

we need to control where the pop up plays on the page (center, left, right etc.)

as the user scrolls, we need the pop-up ad to adjust itself and remain in position.

we should also have the option of playing once per visit to the page or every visit to the page.

options and configurations would be set with XML (shape, size, video path, position, click url, cookies, etc.)

I need a flash player to play playlist composed by 2 elementes 1) a mp3 file 2) a wowza rtmp stream. Is for a radio station. The idea is to send a commercial to the radio listener before listening the stream.
Shoutcast is the server for streaming in AAC format and Wowza for RTMP.
