June 2nd, 2011 Comments off

Oscommerce Transport Planning

May 16th, 2011 Comments off

Hello,

we have an OSCommerce shop which needs a new app.

When a customer places an order he is able to set a delivery date.

What we want is the following:

- Set a number of trucks we use

- Set the drivers names.

- Set the postal codes for each truck per day (route schedule e.g. monday postal code 1000 – 1100, tuesday postal code 1101-1200, etc.)

The following data must be added for each working day:

- Set the days which we do not ship (holidays like x-mas, thanksgiving, etc.) so the working days are left (also change in the current calender!!)

- When a customer sets a delivery date this date must be added in the calender and assigned to the truck in the postal code of the customer

- Add pick-ups in the postal codes too. The pick-ups can be set as recurring (in the calender). The recurring pick-up must be with the addresses (suppliers) which are in the admin. Also a manual pick-up must be able to add. The data must be then filled out in a form containg name, address and what to pick-up.

- The route must be sorted manually to create a route for the truck to deliver all orders and pickup if required. Eg. 1. Amsterdam 1012AB, 2. Amsterdam 1010KD, etc. The driver must be assigned to the truck too.

- The delivery date of an order must also be changeable in admin (when the truck is full, or in service, etc.)

- A transportation form must be printed (with our logo/header on it). Here are the deliveries of all orders and pickups for the truck. For each truck a separate bill must be generated. It contains the address, the ordernumber, additional information and a blanc space for the customer to sign for good delivery.

- The route must be printable in Google maps (using the postal codes of The Netherland and Belgium)

- The calendar must be available in the admin so you can see which shipments are coming up just by clicking on the date.

- when you click the date all the orders for that day must be seen and clickable so you can see the items in this order.

- When the route is final the status of the orders must be updated (eg. Loaded on truck)

- The calendar must be emailed in outlook format to the emailaddresses given

- The calendar must be availble for history too so we can see the which driver on which truck has delivered on a particular date.

If you have any quesions please let us know.

Thanks for bidding!

Gps Navi For Window Mobile/ce

February 11th, 2010 Comments off

A GPS navigation software with basic functionality for Windows Mobile/CE needs to be developed.

Functional requirements:
1. Map format: Source format for a map is MP. (So called ‘Polish Format’ – text based and easy to understand.) It’s description takes 4 pages only.) An own secured binary format needs to be developed. Accordingly a converter from MP to own format needs to be developed and a Mercator (http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Проекция_Меркатора) conversion has to be implemented on this stage.
2. Drawing a map: 2 modes should be supported – 2D and pseudo 3D. Scaling, scrolling while dragging, rotation, switching between layers with diff. detailing should be implemented. Pieces of map have to be cached in order to speed up their drawing. Object drawing is vector based, however in order to increase drawing speed, signatures for objects (e.g. street names) should be drawn using prerendered raster images of alphabet symbols (as done in Navitel). Changing map detailing and POI (point of interest) filtering should be done. Opening both a single map and atlases consisting of multiple maps, saving atlases should be implemented.
3. Interface development: whole business logic for a program, mockups, and prepared images will be explained/delivered to a developer. An adaptive keyboard – is a single not trivial feature in UI. It works as follows: while typing a word and pressing the next symbol, the keyboard disables not valid symbols that are not present in a set of available words. This feature is like a T9 mode in mobile phones.
4*. Build the route: from current position and from any point to any point taking into account restricted directions, prohibition of drive/turn and schedule for these restrictions. Should be able to build three kinds of the route – the shortest, the fastest, and medium. Use/apply restrictions for vehicle type (car, taxi, truck, pedestrian, emergency). Each of types of the route should have a switchable option – reduce a number of turns if route is no longer than custom percent. One more option – avoid as long as possible to go through alleyway/private driveways.
5. Navigation: Show a current position of the user on the map and direction of movement with arrow style cursor using a GPS receiver (like in Navitel or IGo). Automatic rotation of the map while moving. Voice messaging about future events (turns, restrictive signs etc).
6. Search: Find a point by address – show on the map, build route to it. Search of the closest objects and showing a distance to them from a current point. Save search history.
7. The others: Store and display custom points/points of interest (with names) on the map. POI filtering. Defining user (route) spots. Possibility to set a distance for alert. Use sensors – calculating a way passed thru the day/other time/average speed/idle time etc. Track saving.

Non-functional requirements:
1. High performance. Software should work not slower than Navitel.
2. Run on Windows Mobile 6 (and possibly WM5), Windows CE 5.0/4.2
3. Run on devices with 64M
4. To be developed using C++. Presumably using QT, SpatialIndex and Boost libraries.
5. A security mechanism preventing illegal copying needs to be developed.

Business aspects:
1. A candidate has to give time estimation for implementation of the above functionality.
2. The candidate has to inform how many hours per week he’s able to work on the project.

The successful candidate will be provided with the following artifacts:
1. A sample map in MP format (text format) with full description of the format
2. The same map converted to .NM2 (Navitel format)
3. Navitel
4. GPSMapEdit
5. A logical schema for planned functioning of the User Interface (UI)
6. A package of graphical artifacts (icons, buttons, skins, screen mockups) for UI.
7. Portable navigation device for testing purposes

The features of team member’s interaction:
1. Authors of project idea (API) have a clear vision of mechanisms (algorithms) for implementation of the critical project tasks, and ready to actively participate in elaboration of solutions for implementation of non-trivial pieces of code.

2. API have examples of implementation of the separate project tasks and ready to share them.

Project future:
1. The project will be implemented during several iterations. The given specification describes the 1st iteration only that only includes the functionality described above. The next iterations intend the implementation of the many extended functions, such as interaction count and showing of the traffic-jams, full-fledged 3D mode, etc.

* – The task can be possibly implemented by API. (Please take this fact into account while doing the estimation and give the estimation with and without the 4th section.)

Route Description Site

January 1st, 2010 Comments off

I am looking for a script to make a Site, where User can describe Tours and Trips.
There should be possible to name the starting point (Cityname), target and intermediate points (also cityname).
Example: A user describes a Tour from New York via Boston to wherever, He should have a Mask to put in the Startpoint (New York)
then a Box to describe the Route
and then a Box with the Target, and a button with “add intermediate target” so a new Textbox appeares where user can put in Boston
and also a Textbox to put in the description from Boston to wherever after this again a box with the Target and a button “add intermediate target”.
the search function should look to the intermediate target as a normal startpoint, so if a user searches after a city name, all tours starting from this point appear (in this example boston)
the possabillity to add infofields would be a big advantage.(for example to add tags like streetnames…)

the script must provide:
- multilinguality (separate Lang. file) – I can do translation myself
- User registration with username and full name/address and so on…
- Image Upload – where Images can be added to a route
- Route rating (to state the difficulty of a route – important for offroad!)
- possabillity to add comments to a existing description

I hope I did not make too much confusion with my description :)

Google Maps Route Planner

October 5th, 2009 Comments off

We are creating a new web site for a client who runs educational centers across the US. The client wants to make it easier for parents to find locations of the schools that are convenient using google maps.

We need to present the user with two address fields and a map. One address field labeled ‘HOME’ and a second field labeled ‘WORK’. The user fills out the fields, and then google displays their route from home to work (just like regular driving directions) and includes all locations of the schools that are on the way.

The idea is that a parent can type in there home address and work address to figure out what locations are convenient to drop their kids off at along the way.

We are not locked down to Google’s system, and will be willing to work with any map system (mapquest etc…) to achieve this goal.

We will provide a preset list of schools that need to be added to the system in an XML file that we will be adding to over time.

Pull Content From Webpage

June 19th, 2009 Comments off

I am in need of developer who can create a PHP page that given 2 inputs (departing, arriving) can use this page: http://simroutes.com/fb2/ShowPlans.aspx to insert into a database the information displayed, then look to the Route Link and retrieve the full route “Route Details” update the database if necessary and retrieve the navigation log (new IDENTS get inserted, old ones are ignored).

Please keep in mind that there are varying list lengths on the first page and a varying length for the navigation log on the second.

This shouldn’t be too difficult for someone who knows advanced PHP such as preg_match(). The lower you bid the sooner I’ll choose you ;)

Only bid if you are available to start immediately. Do not ask for escrow, you will not receive it. Payment will be made after work is completed and a demo is shown.

Google Maps Api Drawing Module

June 16th, 2009 Comments off

I need someone quickly that can complete a map drawing project with google maps API. Basically, it is for a community site that will allow users to go to an interactive map, draw a route on that map and write details about the route. Then when submitted the route is published in a proper category (like by state) and can be browsed by other users and viewed. This will be implemented on an existing site, I have source PSD. Let me know quote and turnaround time asap and I’ll try and get the project referred to you.
