Project Summary:

Similar to the NCAA March Madness bracket, instead of teams this bracket will have people against other people. In their position on the bracket they can have a picture or a short video. People will be able to vote up to 10 times per day (for one person or multiple people). When admin closes the round, the winner of each “match” moves to the next round.

Functionality details:

1. They will have a sign up and login area. The will be a small fee for them to sign up. In their user area they will upload a picture or provide a link to a short YouTube video. They will also put in some personal info (name, age, location, email, phone)
2. They will go into admin review. Once approved by admin, they will be added to the bracket. I will provide an image shortly to show how the bracket will look as well as the order in which people should be placed.
3. From the admin area, we will be able to start the competition. Once the competition is started, new people cannot be added to the bracket, however people can still sign up and be put on standby for the next competition.
4. When the competition starts, people will be able to go to the competition page on our website and view the pictures and videos, then vote for their favorites. They can vote up to 10 times per day, so there will have to be IP recognition built in. Votes will be live, so people can see who is winning each round.
5. Admin will have the ability to close out a round and move the winners to the next round, which we plan to do every week. Basically we will allow signups for a few weeks, then the first round is 1 week. Let’s say we have 64 people sign up for a competition. Since this is a person vs. person competition, in round 2 there will be 32 people, then 16 in round 3, 8 in round 4, 4 people in round 5 and then round 6 is the final round with the last 2 people. Admin will determine how long a round is based on the amount of people. Closing a round will be a manual process by admin only through the application’s back end.

Other things admin can do:

- change a users information
- suspend a participant if foul play is suspected
- place people in different spots on the bracket
- email all signups based on groups (all signups, current participants only, etc)

I need a script that I can pipe emails to via cPanel and it will distribute the email in a round robin fashion to multiple email addresses.

For Example:
- Email is sent to EMAIL 1 by a customer
- Email is piped to a PHP script via cPanel

General Issues

Here are the next things for the site that I would like to get done.

1. For the leagues that get created I want to add a logo. So that we have a logo that we can display
2. When I go on available teams, I want the logo of the team and the logo of the league displayed as well
3. When I click on standings, I need the standings of my teams league displayed without selection but I also need the option later to select other leagues standings as we have it now.
4. The standings need to be colored. Places 1-8 need a color and 9-X another color. I need these colors to be editable in the backend.
5. I need the play offs calculated. This should work as follows. The first eight teams of each league make it into the play offs. They play like this according to their standings: 1vs8,2vs7,3vs6 and 4vs5. They play it as a best of five which means they play until the first team has three wins. The winner moves on to the semi final where the best team of the first round plays the worst. So let’s assume 1,3,4 and 7 won their games, the next round would be 1vs7 and 3vs4. Again, best of five and then the final best of five again.
Of course this needs to be displayed nicely with the games and scores and dates. Each game should be on a different date and the dates should be editable in the backend.
The winner of the highest league in one country should be the champion.
The winner of a lower league should move up one league.
The attendance needs to be calculated for these games as well. We use the formula we already have. I need something in the backend where I can do the following changes:
We have our normal attendance and I want to increase this by X %. This means I want something in the backend for the first play of round where I can set a value for the min and max. For example I want between 20-30% more people I have a min of 20 and a max of 30 in the backend. The program chooses by random a number between 20 and 30 and multiplies the attendance by that number.
The same for the semi finals. I need an option to enter numbers for that and then again for the final.
6. I need the play downs calculated. All teams from position 9 to X need to play the play downs. They will play each other once at home and once away. So in our leagues with 14 teams, we would have 10 games. 5 home games and 5 away games for each team. This will generate a table again and the last team of this table will go down a league.
The last team of the lowest league is just last and nothing happens.
7. We need a balance sheet. This should only be viewable for each manager, so not public. The start budget is what each team gets for the start. Of course each team has spending and income.
Spendings right now are: Players salaries
Earnings right now are: Income from attendance, Sponsor payments (not finished yet)
The salaries of each player need to be deducted after each game. This is the salary per game that the player has. No matter if the player plays or not, this needs to be deducted. Also the amount agreed per goal needs to be deducted if a player scores a goal. This should also be done right after the game.
The income from the attendance needs to be added after each home game to the home team. Of course this is Attendance * ticket price
When something is deducted or added, an Email should be send to the manager and it should be listed on the website in the managers balance.

We have a family blog using WordPress for Multiple Authors. Some family members don’t contribute very much. It was suggested to create a game of “Tag” where after one person writes an article they get to choose/Tag the next person to write a new article. I think it would be best to keep track of who has been tagged each round and only allow people to be tagged once per round until all people have been tagged (then start a new round). The script would need to display who can be tagged, and then send an email to the person being tagged.

People would need to be able to opt-in before the round starts. If they aren’t opted-in then they can’t actually read the articles for those playing in that round.

LADDER, LEAGUE, and TOURNAMENT SYSTEM:
I need everything that www.teamwarfare.com has plus some extra options. I have listed everything below.
The ladder system need both a point and rung type ladders.
ladders also need a choice of challange, open and both.
Unlimited number of ladders, tournament, leagues and games.
A way to add/remove games from the system. Ladders and tournamnets will be by game.
When making a ladder or tournment there need to be a way to asscoite a game type with this ladders. IE a cod4 ladder or cod5 ladder.
In a point system I need to be able to asian point for wins, losses, ties, kills and deaths.
In a challange system I need to ba able to asign how far up or down you can challage a team. IE 2 rungs up or 3 rungs up.
I need the up and down of rungs seperate. IE 2 rungs up and 5 rungs down.
A way to easliy suspend/unsuspen, ban/unban both a player and team.

The clone site I showed you has a way to run a league. A league is x number of weeks of preseason then x number of weeks in the season. Team only play 1 game a week.
They are asigned a certain map to play that week and are asaigned the team they are going to play. We do not supply the map we just tell them the name of the map.
I also need a way to make each ladder, league or tournament public or privite. If privite I need a spot to put in a pw to join in.
Teams need a profile page where it lists all there player and servers and what ever ladders, league or tournaments they are signed up for.
Each league, ladder, tournament need a standing page. IE who in first, second, etc. This should also show each teams win and loss and win loss ratio
The league part also need a random match generator. IE the teams only play 1 match a week against one other team. this need to be random and be done with just 1 simple click.
After the matches are generated it needs to email the teams with that info.
Also I need Division for the differant games. I can explain if needed.

I have a list of guids that are listed by game. This is a list of baned guid from the punk buster ban list. I need a way to check the guid agaisnt this list.
I also need a easy way to look up players guid numbers something like enter a players name and all there guids come up along with what game the guid is for. I need this in the admin section of the site.

LADDER, LEAGUE, and TOURNAMENT SYSTEM:
I need everything that www.teamwarfare.com has plus some extra options. I have listed everything below.
The ladder system need both a point and rung type ladders.
ladders also need a choice of challange, open and both.
Unlimited number of ladders, tournament, leagues and games.
A way to add/remove games from the system. Ladders and tournamnets will be by game.
When making a ladder or tournment there need to be a way to asscoite a game type with this ladders. IE a cod4 ladder or cod5 ladder.
In a point system I need to be able to asian point for wins, losses, ties, kills and deaths.
In a challange system I need to ba able to asign how far up or down you can challage a team. IE 2 rungs up or 3 rungs up.
I need the up and down of rungs seperate. IE 2 rungs up and 5 rungs down.
A way to easliy suspend/unsuspen, ban/unban both a player and team.
When a admin sets up a ladder/tournament they need to ba able to pick single or team.If it a single player and not have to be on a team just registeres for the site.
Need to have it setup for team/player to report then confirm a match. IE the winner report the losser confirms the match.
The match is not valid until the losser confirms it.
When you report a match there need to be a way to report the over all points for both team/players.
The tournament system neeed to have no limits on size or players/teams
