I am not an experienced PHP developer, but I understand enough about how our site works to be able to point a PHP developer in the right direction. The site consists of a pre-built review ‘content management’ solution that uses PHP and Smarty template engine. I think that adding the microdata for the rich snippet should be fairly easy, but I need some direction. I am running wp-o-matic plugin on my Rich Grid WordPress Theme. I need a wordpress EXPERT to modify the code to make the first image in the post a home page featured image. We need to apply Google Rich Snippet Micro Data code to our main Miva Merchant 5.5 Sebenza product templates.
These are html based and use tables and as such it is tricky to get the Google Rich Snippet code to read/grab all the desired data (*We need item photo, description, name, item code, price and stock availability fields grabbed by the Google code).
I have got it working halfway on a test template already… Google isn’t reading the data further down the html code lines for some reason.
