In brief, you are required to implement a simple information retrieval tool that can read a batch of xml files as an input, create and inverted index and retrieve ranked results from queries parsed from another batch of xml files.

You can use any programming language or customize any existing information retrieval tool as long you explain how to run your work.

It’s a school work so I’m not expecting anything big or scalable.

I need to complete an existing integrated platform, in ASP.NET, with an existing database.
- The containing files can be provided to work with.
- The plaform goal is to provide exploration of a collaborative working environment based on a specic ontological structure (in romanian language), which is oriented towards the requirements of the manufacturing and services.
- That specific ontology is already reated and after selecting specific terms, between classes and categories, a string should be parsed to Google, Yahoo or Bing and the results to be analized.
- The aim to follow is to achieve an effective information retrival system using search engines, that information to be filtered, sorted using if possible OKAPI BM25 algorithm, and a final result page with links to that information for the user;

We are looking to have an iPad/iPhone app developed that would allow a user (with a predefined HTTP server) to pull data from a server via HTTP (ie, /export/userid1/userid2/userid3/ipad_serial=SERIALNUM) and will receive from HTTP an XML containing some various data including a list of “files” with a HTTP link to a PDF that will need to be downloaded and cached locally.

At this point that is basically it… there really isn’t much to the project but we have a very short deadline so please be precise in the time frame required to complete the work.

I need an admin username and password retrieved from a website.

I have hosting and ftp access to the site, but I can’t find the username and password.

I’m guessing it’s just access to the sql database to get the highest user details, but as it doesn’t have cpanel I’m lost hehe.

If you can help with this very quick project it’d be most appreciated.

I will need to run the script 3/4 times a day to check for new entries and store them in a mysql database…
