Need Help With Javascript. Experts Only

October 31st, 2011 Comments off

This is a bit of an odd project but I’m hoping I’ll find someone to help. Here is what I need:

I’m trying to find a way to increase the font size automatically as a webpage is resized and since there are currently no CSS properties to handle that I was hoping there would be a way to achieve that by using Javascript.

This is how I was think on approaching it. I will create a main div container on the page set to 100% height and width and a base font size of 10px. Inside this container I will place headings and paragraphs which font size will be determined using % and be relative to the container font size. For example H1 will be 100% of the 10px and <p> will be 20% of the 10px.

Now the tricky part. I need the JS to be able to be able to identify the containers size in pixels and change the font size value every time the container is resized. For example if the initial container size reads 1000×1000 the font is 10px, if the container is resized to 1200×1200 the font size value of the container becomes 12px and so on.

Please let me know if you are able to do this. I’m not looking to save money but I am extremely picky about the logic of the code and keeping it clean and simple. Quality is my number 1 priority.

REQUIREMENTS

1) The candidate should be a JS expert
2) Should have samples of code from other projects

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE A JS BEGINNER!!

Thanks

Images Downloaded..named And Resized In Photoshop. Easy Job.

October 9th, 2011 Comments off

Very easy job. Shouldn’t take too long if done correctly. Requires Photoshop.

I want all the cake images from this website http://www.cakeology.net/cakeology/Photos.html

There are 3 pages of them.

1. You need to click on each image and then click on ‘Download’. I need every image then resized with a width of 680 pixels, keeping the height in proportion (Photoshop: Constrain Proportions). For a lot of these images the size will then be 680 x 510.

However: For some of the images the width is already below 680 pixels. If this is the case then you must enlarge the image to make the width 680px using the following Photoshop option: Image Size > Resample Image (Bicubic Smoother/Best For Enlargement)

2. You then need to rename each image in the following way.
For the first image, Elmo Cake, you would name it “cakeology-birthday-cake-elmo-cake.jpg”

For the second cakes, Sesame Street Cupcakes, you would name the image “cakeology-seasame-street-cupcakes.jpg”

if there is a Happy Birthday on the cake then you insert the ‘birthday-cake” into the file name.

Each image on the website has a name underneath for you to use.

3. After you have resized and renamed each image i then need a thumbnail of each one. The dimensions should be 220 x 160 pixels. You can crop the images at the top of each cake to get as much of the image into the thumbnail as possible. The thumbnails should have the same file name as the larger file but with ‘-thumb’ added on.

so example 1. “cakeology-birthday-cake-elmo-cake-thumb.jpg”
example 2. “cakeology-seasame-street-cupcakes-thumb.jpg”

You will then provide me with the resized main image (width 680 x ?) and the thumbnail 220 x 160 for every image.

When you have finished i will check everything has been correctly named and resized before payment completed.

Thanks

Need .flv Video Resized

August 23rd, 2009 Comments off

I have a 75 MB video that is in flv format. I need this video in two other sizes – a medium size and a small size.

This is a very fast job for someone with a fast internet connection.

I understand that Adobe’s Premiere program can do video editing and Mac’s Final Cut Pro.

If you have expertise in video editing software and can take this 75 MB file and export it in two smaller formats quickly, then upload them to my filedropper account quickly, it should be easy.

In your bid, please let me know the program you will use, and when you are able to do the job.

Thank you,

Kirstyn
