Oscommerce Registry Shipping

July 17th, 2011 Comments off

I am working on an osCommerce modification project.

I have developed a gift registry for existing moms to use for baby showers.

My client wants those who purchase from the registry to have the ability to ship the products to pre-defined locations (where the baby showers are to be held.)

I have added a table to my database to “registry_locations” that allows the expecting mom the ability to create “shipping locations with event dates”. The actual location is being added as an address book entry under the customer’s (expecting mom’s) customer_id.

What I need is for someone to modify the shipping location pages in oscommerce to offer the choices of shipping location upon checkout. These locations should not show the actual address (for security purposes – as it might be the registry mom’s home) rather the address description that was provided by the registrant.

So basically it is to allow the customer to select shipping locations other than there own home.

In order to know that they were shopping the registry, I set a session flag with the registry id once they have gone to the registry page.

If you are interested and think you can do this job. Please send me a pmb and I will share with you the site name and how to look at a sample registry.

Windows Registry Diagnostics

July 7th, 2011 Comments off

Hi there,

We are looking at developing a little system diagnostics application that would run a set of performance and error tests within Windows and provide results.

Some aspects:

- Compatible from Win XP to 7
- The errors scanning functionality and GUI must be done based on http://cloudfront.systweak.com/sysrc_trial.exe (Scanning section) Registry scan definitions do not have to be as up-to-date as on systw. cleaner.
- We do not require the software to fix anything, just perform a test.
- You are free to use any language to build this application

See the attached PDF for the various screens we would require.

The ideal candidate to do this project would be someone with some previous experience in developing a registry cleaner or any sort of tune up PC utilities.

Let me know if you have any question.

Thanks,
Alen

Seo Of Gift Registry Website

March 3rd, 2010 Comments off

I need an expert that helps me improve the ranking of my gift registry website.

The job requires you to write reviews of the website and to generate high quality permanent one-way links on ranked websites. It is self-evident that no link-farms, no blog-spamming, no black hat SEO tactics… are allowed.

The website should show up in google on the first page on the following keywords:
* Free gift registry
* Online gift registry
* Free wishlist
* Free wish list

SEO-Tips on how to improve the ranking of the website are also highly appreciated.

Windows7 Registry Expert

January 15th, 2010 Comments off

There’s an old program I used to use all the time called OpenExpert:
http://www.baxbex.com/openexpert.html
It’s a free program that you can download and test for yourself.

This program adds an “Open With…” command to the explorer context menu when clicking on any file. Each file type can then have it’s own list of programs you can open it with. The program allows you to configure multiple programs and create a custom list for each file type.

It worked very well in Windows XP and Vista, but now that I’ve moved to Windows 7 it no longer works. The program itself opens and works fine and I can configure the different file types and their associated programs.

The problem is that the context menu for this program no longer shows up. So when I right click on a file, the “Open with…” option is no longer there to allow me to see the options normally provided by this program.

The developer is non-responsive and hasn’t updated the software since XP, but I think this may be easily solved with a registry hack to get the “Open with…” menu option back.

Please note – I am not trying to manually add options to the registry. I want to add the option back that enables this program to work correctly on Windows 7.

I will pay only for successfully fixing this problem so that I can use this program to add custom context menu options.

Thanks,
Daniel

Website With User Registry

January 5th, 2010 Comments off

Please see attached document for project description.

Overview:

We would prefer the site to be built with WordPress or Joomla or another CMS as long as all functionality we ask for in the project description is incorporated through plugins, extensions, or custom programming. However, we are also open to a custom solution should it be easier/cheaper.

Please read the project description and ask any questions you might have before bidding. Please note I will ignore/delete any “canned” responses that are submitted.

Oscommerce Mod Changes

October 20th, 2009 Comments off

I want to install this contrubution to clean oscommerce store: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1226 and then change it to do the following:
1. After a registry has been created, you need to be able to mail the list to friends via oscommerce. Here you can put in all the email addresses of your friends and a short message. This email must include the link to the website and also the name/surname they must search to get the list.

The rest is already built in to the contribution.

A demo of this script is here: http://oscommerce.sammysolutions.com/registry/help_registry_buyer.php

Content Delivery System

August 29th, 2009 Comments off

I’m looking for some software which can be installed on systems (Windows 2000 / 2003 / XP / Vista / 7) by subscribers and will automatically deliver requested content by launching their default web browser… in essence, a more intelligent, remotely configurable version of the DeskTopPop product.

Content delivery can occur:

1) after a pre-determined period of time (hours), or

2) at a pre-set UTC time

…provided that a period of recent and continued user activity has been detected.

For example, I might decide to have the user’s browser display a URL every 8 or 12 hours, provided that their computer is currently being used and has been continuously used for a short period of time i.e. 5 minutes.

I do not want to have browser windows open simply based on a timer so some monitoring of the keyboard and/or mouse will be required.

The actual current “waiting period” between browser launches and the required period of user activity (both in minutes) before triggering will be specified within the string returned by my server script which also specifies the target URL.

Please also note that the “waiting period” for “time delayed” URLs is the minimum time to wait since the previous URL was launched and is not cumulative i.e. if the waiting time is set to 8 hours but the user does not use their computer for 20 hours then only one URL should be launched (after the required “continuous use” period) and the next URL should not trigger for at least another 8 hours.

The utility should be unobtrusive to the user i.e. must install as an application but be invisible (nothing on the task bar, in the system tray or in the Alt-Tab window / Task Manager) during normal operation.

It is very important that the utility is able to work with all the major browsers and should not trigger false-positives for anti-virus / spyware / adware / malware systems – it should also be firewall-friendly.

A unique, system generated ID should be created during the 1st run process and passed to my server (when appropriate) during communications so that duplicate content can be avoided for each user.

The overall process should be something along the following lines:

a) at 1st run, generate and store a unique “user” ID in the registry, along with the current UTC time (indicating the “last launch” time)

b) immediately contact my server via an http post, passing the user ID

c) server will return the appropriate “waiting” and “continuous use” periods (both as minutes) followed by the “time delayed” URL in the following format: 10|3|yahoo.com

– the returned URL, waiting and continuous use periods should be stored in the registry

d) immediately contact my server via an http post, passing NO user ID

e) server will either return the UTC “activation time” and “continuous use” period (as minutes) followed by the “time specific” URL in the following format: 200911281457|2|google.com OR a “nothing scheduled” instruction in the following format: ||

– if a time-specific instruction was returned, the URL, UTC activation time and continuous use period should be stored (or replaced) in the registry (separately to the “time delayed” information)

f) monitor the time passed since 1st run / last URL launch and most recent period of continuous user activity until:
i) 60 minutes have passed, in which case go to step d)
ii) the pending “time delayed” URL should be launched, in which case go to step g)
iii) the pending “time specific” URL should be launched, in which case go to step h)

g) launch the “time delayed” URL in the default browser, update the “last launch” time in the registry, then go to step b)

h) launch the “time specific” URL in the default browser, update the “last launch” time in the registry, then go to step d)

Notes:

1) the initial “time delayed” URL should not be launched until “waiting” period minutes after the UTC time stored during the 1st run

2) “time specific” URLs should be ignored (i.e. not stored in the registry) unless the launch time is in the future

3) “time specific” URLs take precidence over “time delayed” URLs so if a “time specific” URL is scheduled to launch within the next 24 hours (note that it may have been scheduled for several days already) then any pending “time delayed” URL launch should be postponed until “waiting” period after the “time specific” launch takes place

4) the registry location should be configurable to allow multiple copies of the system to run concurrently and deliver different scheduled content

The following PHP script can be used for testing purposes:

<?PHP
if (isset($_REQUEST['id']))
{
echo “10|3|yahoo.com”;
}
else
{
if (rand(0, 1) == 0)
echo gmdate(“YmdHi”, time() + 480) . “|2|google.com”;
else
echo “||”;
}
exit;
?>

Delphi is the preferred development language but not a necessity.

All, fully commented, source code should be provided.

Any 3rd party code included in the project must be public domain / GNU or similar i.e. no cost for commercial use.

Size and speed / simplicity of installation is important so any potential 3rd party downloads / code extensions i.e. dotNET, are not acceptable.

Confirmation of successful testing on Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista & 7 is a requirement.

New Crm Vtiger Sugercrm Ect

June 12th, 2009 Comments off

We need a CRM and are open to which software depending on which company can match it to our needs. We currently have a 5 user license with Microsoft dynamics but do not feel it’s a good fit. In the limited research that we have done we think vtiger with the outlook add-on or sugercrm might be a good fit, (we utilize Microsoft office and have exchange running) We would like to see all emails with clients in CRM but not a 100% requirement.

The biggest problem is we have very different sales paths (automation and statuses) that depend on 2 main divisions and 3 main product types. WE were thinking we may need 2 different crms setup and keep these separate. That is not a preference as there is cross selling between them and would like to see if clients have other services. If needed for statuses and ease of use it is a option to have 2 separate systems. If it is possible to setup different automations dependent on which products are ordered that would better.

However there is a issues even if there is 2 crms and in the division one we can have both products happing simultaneous and how would that work with the sales statuses.

Example a simple lead pr opportunity may have a merchant account which is in phase

Registry Cleaner Program

May 18th, 2009 Comments off

Hi guys,

I was wanting to get an idea for how much a registry cleaner program costs and also if virus detection could be added into it as well as a seperate function to work on both XP & Vista OS.

Basically I was looking for a program made from scratch that scans the registry for obsolete files and .DLL’s and deletes them if they belong to for instance programs that have been uninstalled and are not needed anymore, or are no longer used by the OS.

Also if the program could scan for viruses and compare them against a list of known viruses in a list which could be updated in the program, and the user could download from my website the latest version of the program with the latest file names of viruses etc. and delete them also.

If the source code could be made available and instructions on how to update the lists of viruses in say Visual Studio 2005 C++ would be advantageous also.

If it seems possible and anyone is interested any price estimates would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Os-commerce Contributions Etc.

March 16th, 2009 No comments

Hello Programmers,

I have an established OsCommerce site and am relatively familiar with updating it myself, however I do not currently have the time to make these changes and updates. Here is what I would like to have done on my site.

1: Install a FED-EX Shipping module of some sort that will allow for quotes similar to the UPS XML rates that I already have installed. The only shipping options I need on this are Ground and Home Delivery. Also, during this process, if you could fix my UPS module to only show the UPS Ground option that would be great.

2: Make the Checkout Process more efficient. There are currently several steps and pages involved in the checkout process. (It is the standard OSCommerce checkout process with delivery, confirm, checkout, etc.) I would like to have this narrowed down to one or at most two pages for the customer to view before being taken to Paypal for completing the transaction.

3: I would like to have a gift registry created with the following features: A) Allow people to sign up for a gift registry and choose any of the products on the website. B) Allow visitors to the website to search to find a registry they are looking for and view the items on the registry. C) Allow the person registering the gift registry to update, add, and remove items from the registry. D) Allow the person registering to email their registry to people. E) Have an area in the Admin section that will be able to update the registry information such as items purchased etc.

Please let me know if you have any questions or require additional information. Also, I am open to other suggestions as well. If you have examples of other gift registries, fed-ex shipping, or checkout consolidation projects that you’ve successfully completed I’d like to see it.

Thanks for your interest in this project.
