Mysql – Count Distinct Ip Addresses For A Date Range

February 4th, 2012 Comments off

Hi,

I am looking for some help to create a mysql query to get the distinct (per day) count of ip addresses a link has been clicked for a date range.

Lets say my IP address clicks on the same link 5 times every day during January 2012 using the same ip address. There would be 155 (5*31) records in the table but the query result should display 31 as we are only counting the same ip address max of once per day.

Php – Loop Through Date Range And Display Mysql

September 7th, 2011 Comments off

Hi,

Basically what I am looking for is a PHP script that will loop through a date range and display a count, sum from a MYSQL database table.

Monthly Page

Drop down box to select year. If the affiliate signed up in October 2010 they should have option to select 2010 and 2011 and if they select 2010 then the stats range should be October to December and if they select 2011 it should be January to current month (September). By default the page will display the current year stats. The affiliates signup date is stored in the database.

See example at http://cpamad.com/pic2.jpg

Daily Page

Drop down box to select month (Options to select months affiliate has been a member for). If affiliate is viewing the current month say for example September 2011 and the current date is the 7th then the stats should only display up until the 7th. If its a previous month then it should display all dates. e.g. feb 2011 (28 days), aug 2011 (31 days). By default it will display the current month

See example at http://cpamad.com/pic1.jpg

Magento Storelocator

August 18th, 2011 Comments off

You do not need to program yourself. If you know of-shelf product that fits exactly please place total bid for those information.
Mention very clear whether you program yourself or supply only information on exactly fitting of-shelf product.

We need a Magento module as storelocator; current available storelocators in Magento-area do not fit our requirements totally.

We need storelocator that can on frontend:

1. first select country (listbox to select from)
2. entry-box for zipcode OR city
3. listbox for range

Search results in details of Stores with their image within the specified range.

Admin-part :
1. specify the number of options in Listbox with range
2. restrict the number of returned results
3. import of store-information and automatically find longitude and latitude information
4. change store information by hand (also image)

The unirgy-addon fits quite good; just not completely.

Program yourself, change existing opensource addon or supply information on good addon to purchase.
Good bid is very important to us. Overbidders are removed.

Booking Calendar Scraper

December 6th, 2009 Comments off

Hello,

We need to create a PHP function, that we will plug into our existing real estate reservation website.
The function should retrieve a booking calendar from an external website, parse the HTML to find out which dates are booked (unavailable), and return the ranges of the booked dates.

Here is the detailed description how the function should work:

1. The following arguments will be passed to the function:
– property id,
– start date
– end date.
Both dates are in YYYY-MM-DD format.

2. The function has to retrieve the calendar from the following specific URL:
http://www.newyorkstay.com/apartments-rent/reservation.php?apartmentId=XX
where XX in the property id passed to the function.
We will use id=134 for test, thus the calendar url will be
http://www.newyorkstay.com/apartments-rent/reservation.php?apartmentId=134

3. Need to process the calendar, and find out the date ranges when the property is booked (brown dates on the calendar page).
The return of the function must be an array of booked date range entries, (start=>YYYY-MM-DD,end=>YYYY-MM-DD) for each booked range. The booked ranges are to be returned only within the start-end date range passed to the function. If there are no bookings within the start-end range – return an empty array.
If the calendar cannot be retrieved or parsed – return NULL.

The calendar is shown for 1 year from the current month by default. Remember, we need to retrieve the calendar for specific date range. Need to add some fields to the URL, same as the date selector at the top does.
If the date range exceeds 1 year, probably need to request the calendar more than once for different years.

The calendar HTML structure is expected to be as in the URL mentioned above. You should rely on same structure and class names, but it would be nice if we allow some flexibility.

We do not need any front-end or design, this function will be integrated to existing site. We’ll provide the dev environment with FTP access.

This task is just a small piece of a large development project. If you get this job done right, we would like to continue working with you, we have a lot more stuff to do.

Feel free to ask any questions. You may contact me directly on Yahoo IM or Skype ‘CommerceByte’ either, or MSN commercebyte@live.com

Thank you for your considerations.
Jim

P.S. We’re looking for a single developer. Development firms please DO NOT apply.

(Just in case, if you feel uncomfortable about scraping another site, dont worry about that, i have a direct arrangement with newyorkstay.com’s owner)

Excel Macros

August 27th, 2009 Comments off

Introduction

The requirement is for a set of Microsoft Excel Macros to import data from proxy server log files into a Microsoft Excel Workbook and to produce reports and charts based on the imported data.

The Macros may be written in VBA and the result will be a single .XLS workbook containing the macros which would be triggered by either a hot key or a macro button.

The project will be in two stages. First developing the
Macro(s) to import the raw log file data into an Excel Workbook and secondly developing the Macro(s) to process this imported data to produce a number of charts based on the log file data.

Background

The company’s internal proxy servers produces log files which detail fetch request made by user PCs within the company network to servers on the internet via the proxy server. These proxy log files contain many lines, one for each fetch request. The log files are in plain text and each line contains the following fields prefaced by the identifier then the data and separated by a space. Records are separated by a newline character.

1 id= Proxy Server ID

Lead Management Script

August 12th, 2009 Comments off

Lead Recording Script

Summary:
I need a script that will allow me to keep track of the referral of business from one person to another. I’ll need to have a simple form that has a drop down for each the giver and receiver of a lead, as well as a box for the date, type of lead, and for an amount attached to the lead.

From the admin side I will need to be able to add party’s to the list for the drop down box, and generate the following reports; leads given by person, leads received by person, total value received by person, total value given by person, total (for all people) leads passed for a given date range & separated by type of lead, total value given by date range.

Define Terms:

Person/party/member all are the same, just a person.

Lead means that one person is giving another the information for a potential business prospect. I don’t think it really matters what this is for the sake of programming it.

I’m not a programmer, but it seems to me this could be done in two tables.

First table: Members
This would be a list of members with the following fields

Basically, as the user selected a font, The 2 list box will detect the ranges of hex code available in that font, and list out the available script. The range can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mapping_of_Unicode_character_planes

For example, the user selected Arial, the program will access the Arial TTF file and find out the available range in the font file. If the range “0100

Flash As2 For Zipcode Range

July 15th, 2009 Comments off

my client wants a flash banner that has a zip code field. This is only for a local area and there are around 30 agent locations. A certain range of zip code will bring up 4-5 agents. I don’t know how to write the actionscript as2 code for this..although I know that it is probably simple for an advanced actionscripter.

I will be designing the look of the ad though. I just need the actionscript. It can even be something like this…

If zip code is between 89000 and 89999 then gotoAndPlay(2); something like that.

Swoopo Clone Site Modification

July 15th, 2009 Comments off

Hi There.

I need a simple modification done to my swoopo style website. I already have the site, only need this modification done, so please do not bid to offer me a new script.

Currently I have to add each auction manually, which is time consuming. I would like to have this process automated from the admin panel.

Auctions should only be needed to be added once, and should then auto-relist with a minimum selling price being selected randomly within a range which I can specify on the first listing (the minimum affordable price will remain constant, only the minimum winning price will be randomised).

The relist time should also be random to start within 24 hours of auction close, and random auction running time. (30 minute increments eg 21:30; 14:00 etc , no 21:37:43 type times)

Here is an example below.

An auction for a PS3 ends today at 7pm.

The original listing was setup to have a minimum winning price of

Repair Script – Ad Submission

May 1st, 2009 Comments off

The project described below the ****** was completed in 2008. Errors have started to occur recently in the script and must be fixed immediately. The form that is processed by the script is http://www.newburyportmothers.com/submission.php.

Briefly, when a form containing the ad data is submitted two emails should be generated. One email is sent to the email address entered on the form with only the data from the form. This email is OK.

A second email is sent to the site owner with an attachment. This email is not being generated. This project is to debug the script to fix this problem.

This project is urgent and needs to be completed by May 3. I will provide all server login info immediately upon accepting a bid.

Below are the original project requirements:

*******************************************************
GENERAL : We are developing a website for a social group that sells ads for its newsletter. After payment is approved, the ad data is submitted via a form to a mySQL database. The ad copy is an image file that may be submitted with the form to the server. Emails to the submitter and administrator are generated after form data are successfully received. To manage the data, an administrator page allows a standard data base report to be generated for a given month/year and a second report to be generated for a range of months/years.
The development project is in two parts. The workflow below is described to give programmers a better understanding of the project requirements.
Part 1 – AD SALES
The site owner will provide a draft of the ad submission page with the sales form. The programmer will modify the form as needed, create the mySQL data base, develop the data base queries and develop the email processing on the server to implement the features that follow.
1. To submit and pay for an ad the user navigates from other site pages to a landing page that displays Terms and Conditions and the user must select an “I Agree” checkbox to proceed to the submission page. The programmer will not work on this page. The user clicks Next to go the submission form. A validation check is performed on the checkbox to allow the submission page to open. Most of the data entries on the submission form will require validation before the data can be sent.
a. The submission form contains text boxes to enter the required business information. The form also contains selectors for the ad’s size and the starting date and frequency the ad will appear. The programmer will need to ensure that only allowed sizes and frequencies are chosen and that the member discount is applied for pricing of the ad.
b. The form will have a yes/no checkbox to either submit the ad copy with the form or to submit it at a later time. This yes/no data must also be passed to the database.
c. The ad is normally submitted as an attachment to the form. Ads are image files. The form will have a file selector to browse and attach the file from the local disk. The programmer will make this file selector inactive by default so that the user has to choose the yes/no option. When the yes option is selected, the file selector is activated and the user can navigate on the local disk to select the ad file. The file extension is checked to confirm it has an EPS, JPEG or PDF extension. If validation fails, an error box pops open and the form cannot be submitted until the error is corrected.
d. The user chooses the ad size from a drop down menu or radio button list on the form.
e. Ad frequencies include standard half-year (5 months) and full-year (10 month) blocks and single months. Each block or single month plan has a standard price for each ad size. For the half and full year blocks only, both consecutive and non-consecutive, multiple month blocks are a frequency option that the programmer will have to implement. Block prices will be discounted for group members so there will have to be a selector form Members (non-members will be the default).
f. A start month/year will be selected.
f. The existing form will have selectors for all of the above options, but the programmer may have to develop logic to calculate the final price of the ad. The programmer will develop logic to display the final cost of the ad. The cost display should update dynamically when the ad size and/or frequency or member/non-member status is changed.
g. The user clicks on the Pay button and is sent to Paypal with the cost data. The form data is NOT SAVED on the mySQL server UNTIL the payment in step 2 below is completed.
2. The Paypal page is pre-populated with the correct payment amount calculated on the form. After payment is completed the user is returned to the site for further processing of the ad submission.
3. The user is returned to a thank you page on the website. When the page opens the following takes place:
a. All form data are saved to a mySQL database at the web host and the attached image file (if sent) is saved to a folder on server.
b. The programmer creates a server-side script to generate two emails after the data are saved:
– A formatted thank you email is sent to the submitter showing the ad cost, size, frequency and months that the ad will be in the newsletter.
– A formatted notification email is sent to the site owner with all form data as text (field name: data), including the image file if sent.
Part 2 – REPORT GENERATION (programmer to design web page interface and all code):
1. The site administrator securely logs in to the report page.
2. On this page are 2 report generation forms.
a. General Historical Report – the administrator selects the range of month/year dates from a starting date – ending date menu and clicks on the Generate Historical Report button. An Excel style report page is generated that shows all fields for each record. The order of the columns is the same as the submission form. The administrator clicks on the Send Report button and the report is sent as a CSV file attached to an email to the administrator.

b. Monthly Report – This is a standard report for a selected month/year that is similar to the General Report but shows all ads that should run for the selected month (example: an advertiser places a 5 month ad for Jan-May. In March, the Report is run to see what ads should be included in the April newsletter, the administrator needs to see all ads that were submitted for print for that month, regardless of when the ad was originally submitted). The browser displays the report as rows of data with column headings. The administrator clicks on the Send Report button and the report data is sent to the site administrator as a CSV file attached to an email.

– Note: This a an revision of a project that was recently posted. To avoid confusion while the requirements were changing I decided to cancel and resubmit the project –

GENERAL : We are developing a website for a social group that sells ads for its newsletter. After payment is approved, the ad data is submitted via a form to a mySQL data base.

Here is the workflow we want to implement for both parts:

SALES { NOTE- A draft of the sales page form will be provided to the developer
