I’m going to give most of the details to you after you PM me. Here’s my situation. I have a blog that is setup through blogspot.com … My client hired someone to hide the “blog URL” with his .COM address. I want this put back to the way it was.

TO SUM IT UP:

—-> I want to setup a BRAND NEW blog at his domain address and “UN-POINT” his .COM address from the blogspot.com address. <—-

I want the actual blog to be hosted on his own hosting/domain and not like blogspot.com which is hosted on there server.

I’ve been looking into WORDPRESS but I’m open to suggestions.

NOTE: I need a blog that will EASILY allow me to modify the header, menu, color, layout, etc, etc. I need it to be fairly flexible for me to upload a premade theme and then modify that theme further like the header, etc. ** I know most forums like VBULLITIN and stuff like that will easily let you change the theme, header, etc. ** That’s what I want.

WHAT I NEED YOU TO DO: I need you to UNPOINT my clients domain from blogspot.com. I will need you to recommend me a great blog that allows me to do everything I stated above. I will need you to upload and install it and make sure it points directly to my clients .COM domain. I will need you to point me in the right direction on how to modify it.

That’s it. My budget is fairly low for this project. I know it’s not hard to unpoint the domain and upload a premade blog setup. It shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes for an experienced programmer/designer. I’m just very busy and not up for doing this right now. However, I’m obligated to do this for my client…

I’m not new to this and have setup many forums so if it’s anything like that, this should be a piece of cake.

I have a thesis blog(developers edition) that I want to customize.

it is going to have 3 colums
the header should have the same look and feel of thesis.
when readers are reading any of the articles, the landscape should be such that the adverts are still by default on the right,
I don’t need the authority feature as it is on technorati.
In the headlines and rising stories tab, I need those to be for the categories. This will make me have enough space to advertise on the blog.
the blog should be seo optimizable
I don’t need that space for contributing bloggers to be up at all.

very important is that I need to have enough landscape so that I can place ads on the blog just like technorati.

Instead of more rising blogs, I need it to be an area for Editors’ Picks: This way I can get content feed for the site and put it in that corner.

Instead of more rising new stories, I need it to titled “check out what others are also reading”.

Bottom line, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO GET AS MUCH CONTENT FEED FOR THE BLOG, ENOUGH TO GET VISITORS TO THE SITE TO STICK AROUND FOR A LONG TIME AND ENGAGE THEM ON THE SITE.
