Hi,

Looking for someone who has experience and can show me examples of games they have programmed. This should be easy for someone with experience. I believe it would be best if it were done in Flash. Perhaps you can advise. With out going into too much detail, I’d like to put together a timed crossword puzzle. When the timer ends, the game ends. If the crossword is completed before the timer ends, the player is notified they’ve won and are prompted to input their email address. I’ll need these email addresses to automatically populate a database which you will put together. I will need the ability to create the answers and clues and have the crossword arrange itself accordingly. The crossword must be graphically pleasing and allow room around it for other content which I will explain to you further.
I will own the code when the project is completed. We have one other project we will offer you upon successful completion of the crossword puzzle. Thank you for your time.

I would like a “picture puzzle” component / module created that allows front end users to upload a picture of the most common picture extensions (.png .jpg .jpeg etc) (must be approved by admin before it is available). The component should automatically resize the picture and create the picture puzzle pieces depending on the difficulty level the user selects. Front end users should be able to choose various pictures from a list and choose a puzzle difficulty level (4 pieces, 8 pieces, 16 pieces or 32 pieces). The puzzle should be timed, and the users ip address recorded so that only the 1st puzzle time is recorded in the “Top Scores” module that will also be created. Users should be able to take any puzzle as many times as they want, but only the 1st score will be recorded.

I do not care how the controls for the picture puzzle are setup, as long as they are simple and on screen directions are given to the user before the timer starts.

I want the admin to be able to view all scores in the back end, remove scores and remove / approve picture submissions. Admin notification via email of new picture submissions is required.

The “Top Scores” module will display the users avatar (jomsocial), the puzzle and difficulty level they took along with their time. The top 5 scores should be displayed in the “Top Scores” module.

The “top scores” module should be styled to fit my website color scheme, font type and general feel.

I want registered members of my pet website to be able to upload a picture from their computer into a “picture puzzle generator” that will then break the picture up into pieces (user can choose from 4 piece sizes) and display the picture puzzle on the webpage for them to complete the puzzle. All picture uploads should be automatically resized appropriately. I want the puzzle to be timed, and the results (username and avatar, name of picture puzzle and time it took them to complete it to be displayed in a module with ajax refresh). I want the users to be able to take the picture puzzle as many times as they want, but only the first score counts and is recorded in the module / database. I want all pictures to be saved both in ftp and sql. The component on the front end should have categories for the user to choose a puzzle from (ex: cat, dog, horse, still life, etc.) meaning all users can see and choose a picture puzzle that another user uploaded. I want to receive an email or back end notification about newly uploaded images, so I can preview them and make sure they are appropriate images.

Of course the module and picture puzzle generator would need to match my website theme / color as well.

i need a simple puzzle creator called honeycomb puzzle. all words are 6 letters. you gonna write c#. words are in the text file. puzzle size is parametric. look at the attachment for details.

-In case that the puzzle can not be solved or can not get all the possible solutions (not sure if that can happen), program should display a message letting the know the user that it can not get a solution or any more solutions using that type search.

We would like to make a flash game. It will be a puzzle game. We want to upload different images from a form and these to be made as a puzzle. When we start the puzzle game we see a gallery of images that we uploaded from the form. When we click on each image we go to a new page, in which we can see only this image and we have some options in order to make it puzzle. These options are:
1. to choose the shape of the pieces (to be more square or to have different angles)
2. to choose the difficulty of the puzzle by dragging a button, which is on a line. When the button goes right we get many pieces. When the button goes left we get less pieces.
3. to choose the background color, where the pieces are on
4. to have the option to save the game, when we are in the middle of the puzzling and we want to leave it for later.
5. to have the option to go back to the gallery
6. to see the image on the up right part of the flash game when we play, and there will be the option to hide this image.
7. to have the option exit the game

Here are some more info :
o The words in the wordlist can be uppercase, lowercase, or a mixture of both. Practially speaking, you’ll probably need to flip them to uppercase when you generate the board anyway. This question has come up a few times now.
o You may limit the number of puzzle rows to 26 if you want.
o You may find a few string methods useful. Assuming s is a string, s.upper() returns the string as uppercase, s.lower() returns the string as lowercase. s.center(width) centers the string with spaces to a given width, good for printing columns, and s.ljust(width) does something similar but left justifies instead, good for printing things too.

Overview:

This game is a word game. Players are presented with a short jumbled phrase and must use all of the letters to make a different phrase. There will be 5 different clues available for each puzzle that the player can use. The game will be played in rounds. Each round is made up of 10 puzzles. If the player’s score reaches a pre-determined threshold they trigger a bonus game at the end of the round. Scoring is based on time taken to solve the puzzles, number of clues used and score from the bonus game.

This game will use the iPhone screen in a horizontal orientation.

At the outset we are looking to get a single edition developed along with a ‘lite’ version for free download. The subsequent editions will use the same exact style of gameplay but will feature slightly different graphics, sound and will have a different database of puzzles.

We are looking for a quote on the full version and a companion lite version of a single edition. The ideal candidate will also be able to develop a facebook application of the same game at a later date.

Game Play:

The object of this game will be for the players to unscramble the puzzle in the shortest time possible using the least amount of clues.

After seeing the title screen of the game players are presented with their first puzzle. The puzzle phrase will occupy the top half of the game screen. Down the right hand size of the screen will be the icons for the 5 different clues. The bottom half of the screen will have spaces for the answer phrase.

Each letter of the puzzle phrase at the top of the screen will be on it’s own individual tile. In the answer area there will be slots for the tiles to drop into. Looking at the slots in the answer area the player will be able to see how many words are in the answer phrase and how many letters are in each word. Players are then able to touch the tiles and drag them to an slot in the answer area. After they have dragged a tile to the answer area the letter will still be lightly visible in it’s original space in the puzzle phrase.

When all of the tiles are in their appropriate slots in the answer area the game will recognize the puzzle is solved and will move the player onto the next puzzle.

Clues:

There will be a total of 5 clues available to assist the player in solving the puzzle. Some of the clues will place tiles in their correct slots. Others will display hints about answer itself. Unused clues are used as multipliers on the player’s score

Timer & Scoring:

Player’s scores are based on how long it takes them to solve the puzzle and how many clues they use. When a puzzle starts the players have an amount of points. When the timer reaches a predetermined threshold points are deduced from the player’s score at the rate of 2 per second. Their final score is the number of points multiplied by the number of unused clues.

Bonus Game:

The bonus game appears at the end of the round if the player has reached a predetermined scoring threshold.

In the bonus game a phrase appears and players have to make as many words as they can from the letters in that phrase. The words are entered in using the iPhone touch keyboard. Words must be 3 letters or longer. Points are scored for each letter of every accepted word.

Screens:

The game will be comprised of the following screens:

- Welcome screen
- Puzzle screen
- Bonus game screen
- Point total screen

Additionally the lite version will have an ad page for purchase of the full version.

Graphics & Sound:

We will provide all of the graphics and sound for the game.

Database:

The full version of the game will have a database of 300 puzzles. Each puzzle has 3 different scrambled phrases making for thousands of unique games. Additionally the database includes the clues relevant to that particular puzzle.

The lite version will have a database of 15 puzzles.

We will provide the database in the specific format needed for development.
