For a school project, we had to design a system for the company Target. Basically our idea is a 40″ touchscreen in stores to help people drag and select their items.
I just want a couple renderings of what this COULD look like to show. I have included two paint drawings, but obviously please make this look realistic and professional. The company for this project is Target (thats who we are needing the logo for).
On the left hand side, please include just example thumbnails of a bedroom. You can find anyone off google.
In the middle please include a 3d view of a bedroom (basically this is where they will select what items to place within the room).
On the right side it will show suggested accessories.. So please have a picture of a bedspread (camouflage), lamp, curtains, etc.. It doesn’t have to be complex. We can also talk about this while you develop it.

This is a User interface for a supply dispensing program. The program must be built using mySQL and able to run on windows XP enviorment. We expect the program to write to a local database and allow databases to sync via services to our server (program-2) via MSMQ. We would like the program built in visual studio so we can make edits if necessary. The User interface program may have more than one session of the software talking to the server so each session must be assigned a static IP and have a distinct machine name as pointed out in the prototype documentation. All the art work required will be provided.What is primary is to get the database structure in place.

I noticed the above link protoype does not display well in Firefox, but it seems OK in Internet Explorer when you view full-screen.
The above game is just a prototype to demonstrate the concept.
It essentially represents a traditional board game where you roll a dice, move along squares, etc.
It is presented in a way which is readable on a school’s electronic whiteboard in a classroom (i.e. a teacher leading a class will be the “game master” clicking on the buttons or touching the screen. The class pupils will be divided in to teams).
The game shows 3 teams (on the left). Please assume that there will be 6 teams (i.e. 2 columns) in the final implemented version.
The prototype is rather inelegant (it was cobbled together in HTML with frames, with some Flash components, users may see scroll bars which is not ideal), – but the final version will need to be in an ideal format which is suitable for all screen sizes and browsers and will be wrapped up in a tidy Flash file, like a typical online Flash game.
Ideally the game will be able to be viewed either full-screen or not full-screen (i.e. like elastic, streches/adapts to fit any size of browser window/screen).
In this protoype, we are aware that the dice is too small – and the buttons for moving forward/back through the squares a bit too small. This is all we were able to do for the prototype – the actual implemented version will address these issues.
We will provide graphic mockups of the design for the final visual layout/look, but assume it will be like the above prototype in principle.
The above prototype has 30 squares – the final game will have up to 40 squares.
The final voice/narration (spoken by an actor will be provided as audio files, e.g. MP3 or WAV).

Obviously, I appreciate you would need to see specs/functionality of these other games to see what was involved, but for now assume that there will be nothing very complex (certainly no more complex than the above described game). The other games are expected to involve dragging and dropping cardson the screen – or turning over cards – or the user trying to place cards in the correct order (and checking whether they got it right or wrong). The rules will be kept simple – no great level of intelligence behind any of the games.

Brief Summary:
I need an iPhone application prototype (later to be fully functional) that can accept a user keyed in address (if they key it in) and pass either the address they key in or, their Latitude/Longitude to a backend database (that I have and will maintain). The user will also be able to select value from a pick-list (if they chose to) and this value will also be passed to the backend database. The values fo rthis pick-list will be filled in from the backend database the first time the app is used. From then on, it will only be refreshed if the user wants it to be refreshed and they select the refresh option (or screen). The iPhone app will receive from the backend database the top 5 matches for the users criteria (this number may be configurable by the user but we will start with 5 in the prototype). The iPhone app will pinpoint the returned address’s on the maps so the user can then get directions to the location or they can just tap the pinpoint flag to see the address information. There will need to be a Properties screen so the used can key in a special ‘key’ value for searching (this will also be passed to the backend database each time a request to the database is sent). This value will never (or rarely) change.
Again, this should be a functional prototype with the backend database search not working. I will supply dummy data to be used for my searches so I can see that data is displayed and how it will look. The query the app will do when the user presses the search button will just return some hard coded data (regardless of what the user keys in).
I have a page where I need to add a footer “hover” script (where a form is displayed at the bottom of the page). My current script (which is jquery-based) is working on a separate page, but the page I’m adding it to has some existing javascript (using prototype) and the script is not working. So I either need someone to troubleshoot the issue for me or else convert my current script from jquery to something that is prototype-friendly. (or, if you already have a prototype-based footer hover script, that would work too).

If the expected response is voice LG will automatically turn itself into recording mode (at the end of the question), to capture user’s response, for a specified and limited amount of time.

THE SCOPE OF THIS PROJECT INCLUDES A SIMPLIFIED TEACHER GRADING INTERFACE with the follwing requirements:
The main screen of (the simplified) Teacher Grading (TG) submodule is a list of student’s names, email address, problem-set filename, date/time-taken. When the user clicks on one of the entries listed, the set of question and answer is displayed; one set of problem consists of 10 questions/answers. For a voice question and answer the screen displays three play-buttons. The 1st-button is for playing the question, the 2nd-button for listening to the recorded answer and the 3rd-button for listening to the correct answer (as a reference or sometimes called the ‘key’). And then there’s another set of buttons, grading buttons. For the purpose of this project the grading buttons are simplified into two buttons only, RIGHT or WRONG.
After all the answers in a set is graded (by way of clicking either RIGHT or WRONG button), the grade-report is sent to the email address of the student. The email will say something like, “Thank you for participating in LG e-learning”, “Your score is 60 out of 100″.
In relation to my other project (LG e-learning website), which is actually the same project, I will simplify my requirements so that it will only include limited functionality and serve as a demo-version/prototype. It will serve to demonstrate the following aspects:
- It displays exercise questions and records student’s answer in an efficient manner. No noticeable delay in between. i.e. At the end of a question the program will automatically turn to recording mode and instantly ready to record the student’s answer. It would help to have an “ON AIR” red-light that comes on the screen to signal that recording has started. At the end of the time limit the “ON AIR” light goes out and recording is stopped.
- How well you design the interface. Rule of thumb, simple is better. So a 7-or-67-year-old can get right on it with little difficulties.
- Ample space between items, big buttons for use with touch screen interface.
- Use of color to give a nice consistent theme throughout the design. At the same time use it sparingly, or in other words, only when you want to signify something or draw attention to a certain item/part of the screen. Remember, it’s education, contemporary/contrast (as opposed to classic/old, subdued, dimmed), clean straightforward letters, bright (white background is ALMOST a must).
- How well you utilize the screen real-estate especially when it comes to the teacher grading screen. As mentioned in the other project’s post, the teacher screen must be very efficent and highly functional to accomodate the workload of grading a vast number of students’ exercise. As this is just a prototype you can just mock-up some icons and explain what they do (better yet, self-explanatory) without having to program anything into it. However (YOU MUST PROGRAM) the listening to students’ answers and be able to assign a right/wrong tag to it MUST BE DONE and be fully working. Again here, I will see how fast your code is responding as such that, human-operator is the limiting factor as far as speed is concerned.
- Anything else beyond the above-mentioned will be left upon your discretion as well as creativity as seasoned programmers tend to incorporate their signature into and take pride in their work. I trust that you will deliver above and beyond expectation. Happy Bidding FOR PROTOYPE ONLY.

I need help with making the site dynamic. When users save/edit a “scene”, the app needs to store/retrieve the viewing parameters, along with the user’s name etc. in a MySQL database. I want the scenes to be public, ie. any visitor to the site can begin editing (a copy of) an existing one. The app must convert the graphics rendered in a java applet (or another technology if you suggest) into an image file (at thumbnail and large resolutions). The home page will show the latest scenes created by displaying the thumbnails and their creators.

Because of problem displaying HTML currently the function unescapeHTML(); Prototype Framework is used.

In order to finish this functionality, our script needs to let the user decide which files they want to include in their .zip archive they are downloading, and then pass the list of files off to the nginx zip manager when the user tries to download the .zip archive.

In relation to my other project (LG e-learning website), which is actually the same project, I will simplify my requirements so that it will only include limited functionality and serve as a demo-version/prototype. It will serve to demonstrate the following aspects:
- It displays exercise questions and records student’s answer in an efficient manner. No noticeable delay in between. i.e. At the end of a question the program will automatically turn to recording mode and instantly ready to record the student’s answer. It would help to have an “ON AIR” red-light that comes on the screen to signal that recording has started. At the end of the time limit the “ON AIR” light goes out and recording is stopped.
- How well you design the interface. Rule of thumb, simple is better. So a 7-or-67-year-old can get right on it with little difficulties.
- Ample space between items, big buttons for use with touch screen interface.
- Use of color to give a nice consistent theme throughout the design. At the same time use it sparingly, or in other words, only when you want to signify something or draw attention to a certain item/part of the screen. Remember, it’s education, contemporary/contrast (as opposed to classic/old, subdued, dimmed), clean straightforward letters, bright (white background is ALMOST a must).
- How well you utilize the screen real-estate especially when it comes to the teacher grading screen. As a mentioned in the other project’s post, the teacher screen must be very efficent and highly functional to accomodate the workload of grading a vast number of students’ exercise. As this is just a prototype you can just mock-up some icons and explain what they do (better yet, self-explanatory) without having to program anything into it. However (YOU MUST PROGRAM) the listening to students’ answers and be able to assign a right/wrong tag to it MUST BE DONE and be fully working. Again here, I will see how fast your code is responding as such that, human-operator is the limiting factor as far as speed is concerned.
- Anything else beyond the above-mentioned will be left upon your discretion as well as creativity as seasoned programmers tend to incorporate their signature into and take pride in their work. I trust that you will deliver above and beyond expectation. Happy Bidding FOR PROTOYPE ONLY.

We are looking for a developer or small team to build out a web-based database driven prototype application. The purpose of this limited functionality prototype is to showcase our new application by web enabling key functions, demonstrate basic workflow and provide basic interactivity of key elements. Our goals are to highlight key features, technologies employed, and application usability.
The prototype is fully designed and documented. All pages are developed, and the GUI is completely designed with all design elements and features determined. The visual design is completed but we welcome the programmer’s creativity and suggestions. We have a carousel scroller using Prototype UI and we need it to have the following custom functionality:
1.Smooth scrolling-continuous scroll on mouseover
2.Scroll stops and starts on mouseover of navigational arrows
3.Needs to use the Prototype Framework and existing css classes
4.Links inside of the href tags must remain intact to function as they are
5.Able to control the speed of the scrolling

We are designing/building a Flash banner and need someone to resize to 4 additional sizes for us. We have the prototype done in Flash already and will provide specs and PSDs for additinal sizes we need. The resizes will be very similar in animation/design with minor adjustments to accomodate the different sizes. There is minimal actionscript, mostly timeline animation…all animation has already been designed/built in prototype, you just need to recreate for additional sizes.
Can provide sample of prototype if needed. Please provide samples of your Flash animation/ad work.
