I’m using a script called Photo Video Selling Store (http://cmsaccount.com/photostore/online_demo/). When a user uploads a video there is no upload progress bar. A lot of my users will be uploading files between 100 and 200 MB and a progress bar needs to be there. I can’t have users staring at a static screen for 10 minutes without any indication that everything is going as planned.

The scope of the project is simply the addition of a video upload progress bar that will show after the user clicks on “Upload” button, and it should continue to show until the video has fully uploaded.

Once you fix the going blank display the progress messages would be uncommitted so that the progress may be viewed.

Stop the display going blank so that progress messages may be viewed.

Spped up and Reduce impact on the host.

Advice of I could remove the delays, (sleep), to speed up the progress while reducing impact on the host.

How the code basically works.

The uploaded zipped SQL files are uncompressed, one at a time.

The uncompressed file is read in one line at a time writing to a temporary file of 2000 lines, (reading in the whole file caused memory issues during local testing). This is done to reduce impact on the host.

The temporary file is then installed in to the SQL database using the >>>load data local infile<<< command.

This repeats until all the SQL is installed.

This is the problem I faced:

in my project, I am generating a .zip file putting some byteArray objects together and I wanted to use URLLoader to upload the runtime generated file to server. The file is usually big and I needed a ProgressEvent handeler to show the uploaded bytes…

All seemed fine when I was testing it locally, but when I put it on the server I noticed that the ProgressEvent does not work for the URLLoader class and this is not a mistake by me because I later understood that this is a bug already issued in adobe bug lists.

before I post the project here, I tried some Googling and I think the best solution is to use php >> APC_UPLOAD_PROGRESS >> which is available in php 5.2.5

it seems to be working fine with sending the upload progress info to JavaScript… so I thought, if it is sending the data to JS, it will be possible to send it to my flash project also, right?

This is what I want from you:

Put a simple flash file together, create some dummy byteArray in it (you may use the adobe jpg encoder to generate a jpg in the runtime and save it in a byteArray) and then try uploading the file…

Although I talked about the php solution, but you don’t have to go with that, if you have a better/easier solutions, please do feel free to go with it.

All I want is to be able to make my upload dispatch the live status of the file being uploaded.

This plugin creates forms which are customisable (can modify the html).
It posts the form submission to the wordpress database for approval by a moderator.

One of the fields in the form is a file upload field.
The file size is up to 10mb so we need a file upload progress bar similar to the gmail one – very simple.

I don’t mind how this is achieved either APC or Flash or some other method as long as I can take the code and add any of my forms in wordpress.

I have a javascript code, that starts a progress bar when the content in the iFrame has been loaded. (Actually when the content is loaded, it sends an ajax request to the server, it responses, and if the response is true the progress bar starts, otherwise show a hidden div).
The code works well, but not for everyone (:)). Users are complaning about the progress bar doesn’t start at all. They have different browers, so I don’t really know what causes this problem. If they are clicking on an outside link and come back the timer starts…

Each day our students fill out their form and I manually input there numbers in excel and into graphs.The calculations are very simple.We use about 7-8 graphs to represent the data. Every week I sent them there graphs and make recommendations for next week. I would like the information collected and go straight to a graph on their homepage.Automatic.

I will need to be able to post recommendations on their page. I would also like to be able to add video lessons for them and be able to upload there video for analysis by us. We can then make recommendations from this.

I would like a professional look which is very easy to use.

I have a javascript code, that starts a progress bar when the content in the iFrame has been loaded. (Actually when the content is loaded, it sends an ajax request to the server, it responses, and if the response is true the progress bar starts, otherwise show a hidden div).
The code works well, but not for everyone (:)). Users are complaning about the progress bar doesn’t start at all. They have different browers, so I don’t really know what causes this problem.

I need a programmer who can fix it that everyone with every platform and every modern browser could use it.

2. Online collaboration of sales and marketing professionals: Portion the database described in item 1 would be built, maintained and shared by subscribers. Please don’t confuse this with user contributed content found in Manta dot com. Website is for Loan Restructuring, I have what will need to be said on the site initially (About the company, perspective, about services, the process, declaration, BIOS, contact form/info, affiliate log-in and client log-in).

The client log-in will track client’s progress percentage wise (increments of 25%), as well as list all forms necessary (progress bar will be at top, checklist of forms will be below that). The forms that are in will have a green check mark besides it; forms not in will have a red check mark next to it.
Initially, I will need to have access to update client progress (until I hire a secretary to do that). Every time client progress is changed, an email will need to be sent to the client notifying them that new progress has been made (and will provide a link to the client log-in).

We will have affiliates that will link to the site, so we need a way to track which affiliates have re-directed to our site.

For the affiliate log-in, affiliates will need to be able to log-in to check their client’s progress (those which have been referred to our company) as well as being able to send over scanned forms to us (this will be several Megabytes large). The forms will go specifically to one email address. We will need to set up a separate agreement for this as far as confidentiality since these documents contain sensitive information (for whoever is hosting [where the files are being stored]).

Email addresses will need to be set up for every employee (I will need to have the ability to do this as employee’s will constantly change).
