I am running an apache/cpanel server and will be launching a video section on a subdomain on one of the sites. So I’d like to install Lighttpd but still keep cpanel etc… Apparently this can be done by porting?

I have problems with apache2/eAccelerator on my website.
Everything works fine for a period of time (24 hours max) then the server gets into a loop or something. Loads go up to 600 (load average) and website is dead. I have to restart apache to get it going again.
What I’ve noticed is : if I disable eAccelerator everything is ok. BUT I need a caching option so I need a solution to my problem.
All help is appreciated.

I am building up a professional email service provider and i look for developers experienced with Exim and deliverability issues in general.
My current set up works fine, but when i try to up the output speed (30k to 60k mails / hr), i get a very high bounce rate.
So i am looking for the most appropriate tweaks in Exim config files to achieve maximum output speed, while maintaining bounce rate to a minimum.
Can anybody help ?

A client of mine was entering data into a COPY of a spreadsheet, ran into an error, closed the spreadsheet COPY.
Then they opened the original, saved it and accedentally overwrote all data in the copy.
Does anyone know of a location XP may have saved copy of the spreadsheet before being overwritten… that I can open to retrieve the lost data?

I’m looking for somebody who has experience with online learning software.
For example, you would need to create a program similar to hotchalk.com (but MUCH MUCH MORE SIMPLIFIED – probably only 5% of what it can do) where a teacher gets an individual classroom and she can invite her students into the room to complete assignments.
She is then notified in roster form whether or not her students are completing assignments or not.
** Please see attached document with a layout of what I’m looking for… there is a lot of writing but it basically boils down to this:
-A teacher must be able to sign up for my program and create a unique classroom to invite her students in and monitor assignments – in as few steps as possible.
-A student who is invited to that classroom by a teacher must be able to sign up and complete assignments in as few steps as possible.
-I will serve as teacher to individual students (who sign up individually and aren’t invited by somebody else)… same format as above though.
-I need admin powers where I can monitor every classroom.

I’m looking for help finishing up my mail server (on Ubuntu Hardy). The primary purpose of the mail server is to be a repository for emails that will be made available to a PHP script via imap_open()… the problem I’m encountering is in connecting the PHP script with the Maildir (I think my certificates are invalid). Otherwise, the mail server works fine (I use Postfix and Courier), so I’d primarily be looking to solve this connection problem. I’m receiving the following error message in my mail log, which I believe points to an issue with my SSL certificate (which I’ve purchased through GoDaddy):

We have an unstable application without monitoring that must be locally restarted every time it freezes.
We need a script that will remotely restart the application (stop it, verify it was correctly stopped and then started).

I am an I.T. Consultant and have deployed Small Business Server numerous times, but this is my first time deploying SBS 2008 with Exchange 2007 on it.
My client wishes to use his iPhone to retrieve email from his Exchange Server. I tried to enable this a couple months ago and spent many hours but was not successful. I purchased a certificate from GoDaddy and followed what I thought were the instructions to enable everything but was never successful in getting the iPhone to retrieve email from the server.
My client will be off for the upcoming 4th of July weekend and I would like to hire someone to come in and fix this. You will need an iPhone that you can test with as we will not have access to my clients.
I will give you remote desktop access to the server. You will need to troubleshoot and repair any issues with the certificate and then enable iMap/iPhone to work. I don’t care about any super-high security configuration, I just need the simplest configuration enabled so this guy can use his iPhone to get his email from his server. I guess you’ll need an iPhone to set up a test email account with as well.
Once I select someone for this project I’ll need to coordinate the timing with my client, so be patient as it will happen sometime in the next week.
Please detail your experience with Exchange 2007 – I’m not looking for someone who can figure it out, I’m looking for someone who has done this before and knows how to go in and fix it right.
