We are not looking to gain information on small one of seller. The aim is to target large volume sellers. The project requires attaching a secured databased shopping cart facility to an existing website (written in XSitePro). Site visitors can browse catalogs, view hire & sale items, rent or purchase products. All publicly accessible pages require to be fully SEO optimised.

The program requires to be networkable with levels of admin accessibility and controls. It needs to be fully documented and designed for continuous modification. This project is to produce some code that can be added to an existing .htaccess file to produce the required 301 redirection.

We have an existing cubecartv3 e-commerce store www.savoytimber.com that is using mod-rewrite to create seo friendly URLs. The site works well is very well indexed and rated by Google.

We have developed a new store to cover some of the products in the original store (specifically doors) – this uses cubecartv4 www.savoydoors.co.uk/index.php (note the index.html file redirects to the original store while under development). This site is also using mod-rewrite to produce seo friendly URLs.

The products have been copied from the old store to the new one and the product IDs are the same. To make the site live we want to be able to 301 redirect all the moved product pages from the old site to the new one (not the entire site). Two example URLs:

should 301 redirect to
www.savoydoors.co.uk/door-furniture/cat_139.html

However, simply applying a 301 redirect in the htaccess file does not work correctly. See below:

The correct page is displayed but the URL is not the SEO friendly URL that we require. This could cause problems with duplicate pages in Google.

In addition applying the above redirect to over 800 products is not ideal.

This project is to come up with the htaccess code that will allow the redirect to the seo friendly destination URL for the 800+ products.

I do reviews for clients every 6 months which require lots of letters to be produced. Every client needs a letter for each one of their creditors (each client has quite a few creditors).

I would like a simple program which could run to produce the letters I need.

I need a mini database of some kind where I enter for each client the following;

Client Name
Creditors names (could be up to 15 per client)
How much each creditor is currently paid
Each creditors reference number
Fax number for each creditor

When I wish to create the review letters I need it to produce me 1 standard letter in word for each creditor, correctly formatted with the right info.

The letter will be in 1 of 3 formats.

1) A nothing has changed letter
2) A payments are increasing letter
3) A payments are decreasing letter

So, I will need to run the program for each client.
It will ask me if payments have changed and if so, what are the new payments for each creditor. It should also save the new values for the next review 6 months later.

It will then produce the standard letter for each creditor with;

1) The days date
2) Client name
3) Creditor name
4) Creditor reference number
5) State if payments are increasing/decreasing/staying the same
6) What the payment will be
7) Outgoing fax number

I’ll provide the template word letter, and the program can have the data inputted, so that when I want to do these reviews it can ask me the correct questions to create these letters automatically.

Some clients are male/female/couples, so it will need to format letters correctly in terms of he/she/they, etc.

Essentially this is a simple mail merge program, which will make my life much simpler.
