I have a system written using MS Visual Studio 2008 (VB) with a DevExpress ASPxGrid bound to an MS SQL Server (2005) DB. The grid contains data records and is configured to allow selection of multiple records.

Each record contains information that includes a pointer to a server-based .pdf file, defined with an URL path. There is a print button on the form. There is also a check box on the form, Use Default Printer.

The user selects multiple records and presses the print button. If the Use Default Printer check box is checked, then the system automatically does whatever is necessary to spool the files associated with all selected records to the default printer (Windows). If the button is NOT checked, the the system presents the user with a printer selection dialog and then, after the printer selection is made, spools all files to the selected printer.

This must work with either FireFox or IE (if the user is using Safari, they deserve what they get…

We are looking for a programmer to design a new version of our existing software. Rather than an update we feel it is going to be easier to start again from scratch.

The program can be written in any language but must run under Windows XP, Vista & 7 in both 32 and 64 bit versions. Previously the software has used the printers PPL rather than separate printer drivers, however a driver is now available.

I have attached a copy of our user manual for reference which gives a good idea of the features required.

The printer itself is an Argox 214TT and technical specifications and driver files can be found at www.argox.com.

I need a software running on Windows XP, Vista. This programm (windows service) is conneting to a MySQL Database and checks for not printed documents. Document will be stored in the database (e.g. pdf-files). after printing it sets the status of the document ‘printed’ and sets the printingdate (timestamp) and search for the next print job.

I own several printers that are used to rapidly print mail addresses from a file. The printers use PCL-5 commands. I am looking for someone to design a user interface that allows a non-skilled operator to read from the data file and print the information. The interface will allow the operator to choose selected records based upon operator input (i.e., all records, record # to record #, etc.)

Interface must be capable of running on a PC (XP and Vista).

Data file may originally be in .dbf, .txt or .xls format, but will be converted to whatever format is best for PCL-5 use.

I need a program to automatically print delivery notes/invoices through a laser printer when the items are bought on ebay and paid through paypal. (or can automatically check periodically for transactions). Will be setup on a dedicated system with only one printer attached, most probably using windows xp.

I have found a similar program at www.paypal-printmaster.co.uk
but require a few extra things.

Be able to use a *.rtf file and mail merge the info in so I can easily edit the template. Details needed from paypal/ebay to put on invoice will be; Date, Name & address, item number, quantity, unit price, paypal transaction number, type of postage, post price and total.

REQUIREMENTS:
This project is to take a book cover for a hardback book, which we have in PDF format (see attached) and to recreate that book cover in a smaller format that can be used for a paperback version of the same book. (See “Dimensions” below for the size requirements of the cover.) You must be a skilled graphic designer with experience in books/publishing. We need this book cover recreated in “press quality” PDF format. NOTE: We will provide you with the PDF of the hard cover (see attached file to this posting). I almost certain the attached PDF it is in “press quality” format, but as I am not a graphics expert, I am not 100% certain the attached PDF is “press quality.” Your work must be “press quality.” The new cover that you create must look as similar as possible to the attached PDF.

Although we have a PDF of the original cover, we do NOT have any of the underlying original graphics file that were used to create the PDF (with the exception of the main image of George Washington).

The attached PDF was used for the hardcover edition of the book. The new file that you create will be used for a paperback edition of the book. While the graphics on the front of the cover will need to look identical to those from the original PDF, the dimensions of the layout will change in accordance with the printer’s requirements (see “Dimensions” below). In addition, the inside flaps from the hardcover can be deleted and the text on the back of the book will change.

The hardback cover is attached to this project in what I believe is a “press quality” PDF.

BAR CODE:
There are free services on the Internet where you can generate a bar code graphic. I will provide you with the information you need to generate a bar code from one of these services. I do not know which of these free services is reliable. I understand some of these free services produce bar codes that sometimes have difficulty getting scanned or cannot be scanned at all. If you have experience with bar codes, please state that in your bid comments or in the PMB.

WORK-FOR-HIRE:
This work will need to be performed as a work-made-for-hire. We will have full rights to the copyrights of the work you produce in this project for us.

DELIVERABLES:
At the end of the job, we would like for you to deliver:

Hi, I have a customer who needs to have a brother laser printer driver changed to address his networking needs.

There is a network program, used by 3-5 workstations, that prints to whatever printer is selected.
The problem is that my client doesn’t want the print jobs sent to one printer only, but to the printer the remote station has installed locally, based on which workstation is printing.

Example: Now 5 workstations print to the 1 printer chosen in the network program.
The desired outcome would be if workstation 4 prints, the job would automatically go to workstation 4′s locally installed printer.

Have a Canon MP210 that does not feed paper consistently. Need servicing on it. New one is only $60 so I only want to spend $20-30 to fix. It may only take a cleaning/adjustment – anyone interested? I am in Blue Ash are of Cincinnati.

Develop a Windows (Vista / XP / 2003 / 2000 and Terminal Services related versions) printer driver that will generate a Tiff file and after finishing notify another application passing as parameter the name of the file generated.

I have an Epson 2200 printer that was in perfect working condition for the past 4 years- and then it must have been damaged in the mail being sent to me from California. There’s no evidence of physical damage, but, when I power the machine on- the ink carriage tries to load and when it gets to the left side of the printer, it stops and sounds like something is wrong with the ribbon(s) and it also sounds like its jamming. There’s no paper in the way, or anything that I can see, however, all the inks are brand new, so, I know its not an issue with the ink. Sometimes I am able to gently push the ink carriage back to the starting position and attempt to restart the machine. Every time I have tried this, I end up with the same result. I was using this with a MAC Powerbook G4 for years, and it was functioning perfectly. Please let me know if you have experience with this type of repair. I am in Manhattan and do not wish to travel because this printer is heavy and its inconvenient. Thanks!

You should have a Dymo printer and Knowledge of VB.NET / MSAccess for this Job. We have developed a desktop based application for one of our clients who uses dymo label printer for taking out print outs. We don’t have access to this printer over here and the reports printed at client’s end are not coming properly. We need some one who can get these reports in shape by either using dymo label printer’s software or getting the alignment right through crystal reports.

This should be an easy job for some one who understands my requirements.

Printer details : For the large labels dymo label with Labels 99014 is used with 54mm x 101mm dimensions.

The tape is 12mm thick, and it’s a D1 Label Cassette .
