Web Presence Management
The project aims at a coordinated and systematical optimization and management of an entity’s web presence (and individual, an association, a company etc). This must be achieved by one or more software tools (or by a service) that cares about the entity’s web presence in two ways:
1) deleting from web search engines or crawlers etc, all unwanted information. Example: John Doe, some 12 years ago, when he was 16 years old, posted somewhere a sharp critique to the Chicago Giants Football Club. Now, he is 28 and has filed an application as accountant to Chicago Giants Football Club’s Corp. He would not be happy if one of the managers, by doing a research on “google” may see his older post…..Another sample: Pinco & Pinco Corp., in december 2001, tried to speculate on the heirs of the victims of a well know disaster area, by offering through its own webpages to purchase their rotten land for a fraction of its value. Although the offering was retreaded after only five days of angry mails and faxes coming in, still Google records it in a cash page of its own archive. So everytime somebody looks for Pinco & Pinco Corp this old, ulucky story pups up again….
2) promoting the entity’s image by boosting its position on top of search engines.
