The project entails finding a programmer who is confident in ASP 2.0 for the building of a multi-functional website. I already have purchased the servers and software needed to host the site, and they are currently set up and ready to go. One person is handling the back-end and could work with the programmer by building the data tables in Microsoft Sequel that would be needed to service the site. Also I have an artist who can handle all of the design of the pages. The website will need a few intro and marketing pages, instructions for new members to be able to join online (and this will need to include a digital signature page allowing a background check powered by Intelius to be performed) and then from there an administrator (or staff member with special rights or roles) will then be able to see the results and either approve or deny their membership, with an orientation session being completed to fully activate their membership. They need to be able to schedule their orientation online as well. The site is going to be an interactive dating website, but we will MAINLY be doing tons of fun events and seminars with guest speakers for singles, that will all be in person, to encourage them to make new friends and grow personally throughout the journey of being single. There are three different membership types, and each type will have rights to certain website functionalities and pages. A basic membership allows them access to a detailed calendar of events and reservation options. If there is any co-pay, they’ll need to make their payment online (and we can connect this all to PayPal). The results from all the reservations also need to be sent back to our administrator roles. The calendar of events needs to be able to be changed / updated regularly by staff. A premier membership will give members the same rights as a basic, plus an additional “home” page, which will really be more like an intro page. The intro profiles for the premier members will be very simple; not a whole lot of information will go on these. However, premier members will take a compatibility test, one time during registration, and the results of their test will produce individual scores against each of the other premier members. Notifications of new members will be sent to existing premier members’ inboxes. Premier members can then rank all of the other premier members either by compatibility scores (like from most compatible – highest scores – to least compatible -lowest scores), by age, or by location (zip code). Premier members will also be able to email each other. In addition, I would like several other pages built for the premier members, including a single parents page, an events review and blogging page, a private photo gallery from various events, a page for press reviews etc (actually that could be left open for the main site for marketing purposes), and a page for links to previous guest speakers’ sites and materials. The last type of membership is for matchmaking only, and the only thing I need for them to do is to be able to take the compatibility test, and then staff/admin only can review their scores against all of the other premier members. Matchmaking-only memberships won’t have any other website privileges than that. I know this seems like a lot, and it will be fairly extensive work, but I only need the right programmer for this job if someone would be willing to do that and to work with my design and Sequel guys to help save money. I have built scalability into the hardware as I am very hopeful to go into other cities after Buffalo, so it will also need to be built so that it will be easy to add new cities in the future. The servers are already powerful enough to be able to handle at least 5 or more locations, and if we are successful with even one location then the payoff will also easily handle the hiring of someone for all of our IT needs.
I truly believe that this business will be successful with the right person to help me with the programming of the website. I am interested in making the site able to provide the functionality we need to run the office / sign up or approve new members etc. I am an accountant myself and can handle all of our business financials with QuickBooks, although any statisitical analysis data that could be relayed back through the programming would be extremely beneficial. I am in need of the job being completed before August 1st, as we open for business on that day officially. We have a lot of ideas built into the marketing and grand opening plan for the following month. If you could possibly be open to a payment plan with Active Singles or an investment opportunity for some ownership share I would be greatly appreciative, as I am confident after our research that the market is absolutely there for this type of service here in Buffalo. However, the website is a critical step in getting this properly off the ground. Just trying to get all of my options together in order to get this site up and properly running, and as fast as possible. A lot has been invested already with our business location, marketing materials and signage, staffing etc, and the right programmer is key here at this point. I was relying on someone else previously and unfortunately this person will not be reliable. Thank you for your time and consideration.
