Stock Market Prediction Software

Synopsis:

The hardest thing to master while trading in the stock market is to determine when to enter
and exit positions of particular financial instrument (Equities, Futures and Options, etc).
Many investors often trade in the right stocks but still end up losing money for this very
reason. This dilemma of entering and exiting stocks can be made slightly easier if a software
is developed which can help the investor to keep a discipline while trading, keeping away
from the two evils of trading: fear and greed. The new software being developed is based on
satisfying this very purpose.

Project Details:

The software requires the acquisition of data from another website (say nseindia.com) on a
daily basis. The data basically includes the market prices of a list of stocks (say 10 stocks) at
the start of day. A combination of formulas and chart details are then applied to individual
stock data in order to determine various parameters. These parameters include buy/sell calls,
stop loss price, target price and so on. The buy and sell calls for each stock can be represented
by different colours (say blue and red respectively). Based on the calls, the customer must
enter and exit his position.

Fig. 1a, gives a rough representation of what the software may look like. The figure shows
a list of 10 stocks. The market price of the stock is attained from the other site as suggested
earlier. The stop loss for each stock is calculated and displayed using certain formulas or
other data. Depending on the movement of the market the buy/sell column will show the
following colours based again on certain formulas and charts:

a. Blue: Represents the call to buy the particular stock
b. Red: Represents the call to sell the particular stock
c. No colour: Represents no activity

Need to develop a software which gives buy and sell calls for a list of (say 10 stocks). It would require acquiring data from another site (say nseindia.com) everyday morning. The buy and sell calls can be represented with some colurs say blue and red respectively. The software based on a few formulas and charts which we can provide should be able to generate the respective calls.

I already have a football prediction script in my possession. I need to modify it so that users would now be predicting on horses instead of football teams. In the original script (which I can provide) teams would go head to head and users would predict their score (for e.g. Liverpool 4 – Man Utd 1) and get points based on their results. There could be any number of matches per week.

In the modification that I need you to make, people would instead see a list of horses in a race and they should predict which horses would rank 1st to 3rd. They would then get points based on those predictions. There should be an optional number of horses per race and an optional number of races per day.

As you can see, it’s a very small modification. So don’t waste your time posting excessively high bids.
