I am building a requirements document for a site that will allow users to setup an account and enter in information about their assets (stocks, bonds, real estate) and help them by ensuring and maintaining proper asset allocation over time.

The graphical user interface will be very important. For a reference, please check a similar site called MarketRiders.com.

This will take many iterations to build the site into something truly unique, so I am looking for a long term partner to make this site a reality.

You are bidding on the first iteration which will have very basic features and lay the groundwork for the future.

Each asset will also be assigned an “asset class.” In this first iteration, this will be a manual selection from a pull-down.

I have built a portfolio that is basically a page of thumbnails (client logos). When you click a thumbnail, it spawns a lightbox (FancyBox) with nested slideshows, built using jQuery Scrollable (from jQuery Tools). The slideshow features thumbnail navigation that allows you to navigate within the current category, and a text-based category navigation below. The thumbnail navigation slides through the images horizontally, and the text-based navigation slides through the categories vertically.

Everything works fine, as long as I only have one slideshow displayed. As soon as I have multiple slideshows displayed, it appears the text-based navigation gets confused, and can’t figure out which slideshow it is in.

Click on the “Ward Parkway Center” logo on the bottom row, second from the right. The only other scrollable gallery being displayed on the page is the “Reserve”, second row, second from the right.

I am using WordPress with some custom fields and arrays to display the content.

The thumbnail navigation works as expected, however the main, text navigation below it fails. My thoughts are that the problem is that the main navigation is not within the same div as the scrollable galleries. That said, I can not figure out how I could change it to be within the same div.

How the site works: When are view clicks on a tab a grid of tiles will appear to the right. Clicking on a tile it will expand to show images for that portfolio piece. A view can click right and left to cycle through the images. When they reach the end of the images clicking forward will send them to the next portfolio piece. If a viewer decides to click on a new page the tiles will flip over to reveal a new site of portfolio pieces. I’ve attached the page designs to this project posting. I need this site sliced into a WP theme. I expect that the proper CSS styles will be created so that when admin user edits the site, there are NO inline styles. Everything, including li styles, headings, images, and video players should be styled in the theme CSS.

In addition to the WP theme, we need a special feature added to the WP admin panel. Admin user has a Vimeo account, where he stores many videos in Vimeo “playlists.” The Vimeo API allows you to develop a script that will call Vimeo account and present admin user with a list of available playlists. Admin will select a Vimeo playlist from within WP admin panel, and be able to embed this playlist player on a new page that he creates. The page will have a custom URL (using URL rewriting, admin will be able to set the URL of the page). When admin publishes the new page, it will not be visible in the site navigation and it will also be invisible from search engines (using robots.txt). Admin will be able to share the unique URL with his friends, who will then be able to see the page with the Vimeo videos embedded. This is a very basic way for the admin user to share a playlist with only a small group of people, by sharing the link to this hidden page in WordPress.

Here is a general description of what’s on each page of the attached site design:

I am looking to hire a firm or an individual that can get my project up and running in a cost effective, but in a well done way.

The project is nameless at the moment.
I want to build a webapp where people can make a profile using the facebook connect, and/or twitter api. As well as just make a simple account without those social networks. Giving users 3 possible ways to log in.

When they log in, I would like a dashboard. Which gives users the ability to enter a trade or current position in a stock. Also, the dashboard should show their current portfolio value, % of money invested in the stock market, and a nice looking graph to show the performance of their portfolio.

If the user selects “enter trade”, they will enter the stock symbol, enter price, quantity, commision, stop loss, target. I would then like the site to pull the chart of the stock they are trading, and on the chart put points of interest of where they entered, exited, stop loss and their target. This will take finding a source of raw stock data and building a chart.

Back on the dashboard I would like some square tiles layed out with the company logo of the stock being traded. Then the user can click the tile to edit the data of the trade, or close it out.

From there some simple calucations will be made- profit and loss, profitable trade % etc.

Having stock market experience or an interest in the market is a big plus.

The look of this application should be extremely simple, but professional.

A fixed price can be negotiated as well if the contractor would rather do that.
