I have a C# program which uses the serial port to communicate with devices attached around a building.
The app is used to configure these devices, and to monitor the data flow on the system.

This is a real time application, that continuously monitors the serial port and updates parts of the application as needed.

Don’t really have time to finish learning to configure the Mikrotik (RB750G, v5.4); got the basics done but really want to do more. To someone who knows how to, will take probably 30 minutes or less.

ether2-5 form a bridge that is Lan – already working ok
DCHP server – already working ok

default forwarding every incoming to the mail/web/ftp/etc server – done
setting up SNTP client – done
UPnP on – done
graphing of Wan port traffic – done

to do:
- a couple of custom incoming port forwards
- maybe define some special ports as services for better handling (Apple Remote Desktop Admin)
- firewall setup to deny outgoing to port 25 except for few authorized static Lan addresses
- bouncing of Lan connections outbound to our own Wan address, to appropriate Lan address (as if they’ve come from the outside)
- setting up L2TP vpn server
- modifying UPnP so that only works for ports >50000

some traffic shaping to be done:
- outbound ack packet prioritization
- priority to some lan (static) IP addresses
- priority to some ports (mail services, vnc)
- skype prioritization (yeah I know it can’t be done, I put it here just in case)
- lowest priority to P2P

also: setting up traffic accounting or flow or whatever is used to see who’s eating up the bandwidth (I know this has to work with an external program, tell me which, better if MacOSX compatible).

how will the work be done:

I can give you a VNC connection to a Mac OSX from where the router is visible via browser (webmin) (which in v5.4 is as good as winbox); or you can direct me how to open the Winbox ports so you connect from the outside.

I need to send txt files to a specific port over tcpip. This program will have to search a directory and send all the files in that directory to an ip and port, once the send is complete then back up the files to a different folder.

We have a very small part of a project we want to ask for you to bid on. It’s a project called The Peaceful Nursery, and it’s running on iPhone now. We wrote it in Titanium and we are porting it to Android. You would have to be able to work in Titanium or write in something that would work with Titanium.

I currentlly have a working version of openDMTP running in cygwin on a windows laptop with a working backend server. It works but I am in need of a non-cygwin based solution. I am asking you to port, if possible, openDMTP into a true windows based program (*.exe) that can be run as a service (even in the background) on a windows xp-pro or windows 7 laptop. This particular setup is a windows xp laptop with a sprint aircard and an attached GPS receiver (usb). Data rate charges are not an issue.

The program should take any required information (such as gps port, device id, server ip and port,… any others) from a discrete .ini file

The program should auto detect the GPS port (if this is possible) at startup and should run without any end-user intervention.

If the data connection is not present or ready. The program should store any GPS data received by the receiver to a flat file (specified by the .ini file) on the local laptop. And when the data connection is restored then sent all the data from the flat file to the server using openDMTP like protocol.

My thoughts about how I would like this to work are so:

1.) install the .exe program onto the laptop with the .ini (initialzation file) and an empty data-flatfile.txt file

2.) set the .exe program to run as a service (in the background if possible)

3.) once the laptop starts the .exe program runs and loads the .ini file to get the required variables (gps receiver port if not autodetected, server ip and port, device id, account…)

4.) IF THE DATA CONNECTION IS NOT PRESENT – then store the gps data to the flat file specified in the .ini And once the data connection is restored or started send the data to the server using openDMTP like protocol

Use MySQL for the backend to store the users, lists, configuration, and all other data points that make sense. This will GREATLY simplify the installation and usage of a mailman application. There are very few options out there for this.

You will need to understand some mail headers, how to route an email from /etc/aliases to a PHP script to be processed, etc.

Please code in a procedural style (I will post coding rules soon too)

Looking to port my current site to wordpress. Need CMS, event registration system, ecommerce, searchable membership directory.

The objective of this project is to develop a piece of client software to work with out Atmel AVR32 (AP7000) Linux based hardware that communicates to a server via TCP/IP.

We have the foundations of the program already built, using directFB(With an XML frontend) for the GUI, and basic commands already in place, source code will be provided upon request.

The Hardware utilizes the following components that interact with each other:
Colour LCD Touch Screen, COM/Serial Port, Ethernet/Network Port, Atmel AP7000 Processor, Omron magnetic card reader(Serial/RS232).

Sample code is provided as a starting point for functionality, which includes everything needed to complete functionality of the project. The sample code does some of the key tasks specified in this project ( i.e. read card data, read the serial port, display images/movies etc) so developing the final project should be trouble free.

Experience with directfb and AVR32 Linux development however is a must.

Please note also, you won’t have hardware to test on, if you have your own AVR32 kit it will be beneficial however we are expecting due to the nature of the project a bit of self testing and providing feedback accordingly. With that said the project should be straight forward enough to be able to primarily debug on the development system.
