We are the publishers of a WordPress plugin called PlatinumPopup, that has of late accumulated a couple of bugs we urgently need to squash. We need an expert WordPress programmer to do the job for us.

The Bugs:

(1) The plugin doesn’t play nicely with an SSL environment. Errors appear in the behavior of the popup and the display of an iframe (“News and Info”) in the popup settings page.

(2) The plugin uses the database to count popup displays, and one of the settings determines whether the popup displays should be counted per browser session or per page refresh. The option to count per page refresh doesn’t seem to be working.

(3) One of our clients has encountered a strange bug where parts of his theme (the logo, the top menu and one image from his header) appear in front of the popup. This looks like a z-index issue of sorts.

We realise the info given here is not quite adequate to base a bid on, but since some of the info is sensitive, we’ll make it available to serious interested parties with proven WordPress expertise and experience, for bidding purposes.

So if you’re a WordPress Top Gun with a flair for bug squashing in plugins, we’d appreciate it if you introduce yourself to us before we start the bidding, and we’ll take it from there.

This should be a relatively simple “test” for someone who is competent in WordPress. If you manage to do a great job at fixing these three bugs and are priced reasonably, we will definitely consider asking you to program additional features (which are already planned to be started as soon as the existing bugs are fixed).

We have installed a One Page Checkout contribution to our oCommerce store, but have one small problem with it in Firefox. After entering address and payment info, upon clicking the “Confirm Order” button a popup appears stating “There was an error updating your billing address…” But the billing address is already there. It then refreshes the checkout page and removes the billing address.

The checkout page is working perfectly in IE but we experience this issue with Firefox only.

Also, we created a function where the user could not checkout without entering all their information – as we had some issues with this initially. We must make sure that this remains in place with any new fix for this current remaining issue.

Someone who can start immediately will be preferrable.

Hi, I have a php/ajax/js/jquery application on the web to manage clients like a CMS. I have a lot of popup inside the application that use the GreyBox plugin as the main popup. The problem with that popup is that it is fixed window when it open. I need a popup window that resize on content but also gonna be able to resize if I clic a link inside that popup. So in other words, I clic on a link in the application, the popup open 500X500px. then inside that popup, I clic a new link and the popup resize let say to 1000X500px to be able to see the content. So we have to replace all the popup GreyBox script in the application by the new bPopup script. I have maybe 15 to 25 popup to replace

I have a WordPress site where registered visitors can download free iPhone Ringtones. When a visitor clicks on the download link I want a popup to display saying “please visitor our sponsors”. When the visitor closes this popup and clicks the download link again after 15 seconds he is able to download the file. If the visitor tries to click the download link again within 15 seconds he gets the same popup message. If he clicks the download link after 15 seconds he can download the file.

We have a POPUP with details of locations in our joomla project. There we want displaying some stars as rating (cumulative for detail (stars) rating) and two links “details of rating” and “reviews”. In our POPUP (image and text) is already a placeholder for that and below is space for links.

Detail of task:

User (type P, logged in) must have the possibility to rate/read locations by link (jumping to a form, with “Stars-detail-rating”, ambience, price, food, service”) and also write a review for this location. All must be saved in database with username in review. Make sure thay can only rate ones the location in a 1/2 year.

For all others is a rating or to write a review not possible.

Task 2: We have a field in that Popup thats a bit to small (one textline), we need a little change that we will have space for two lines text to insert. The text comes from a form, this form must be enhanced for the second textline and both fields need to be limited, to avoid too much text in popup. All must be saved in database.

Forms must be done with Chronoforms (formbuilder, easy to use and it has the possibility to add scripts)

I am looking for someone who can build me an exit pop up for one of my sites.

I needs to function similarly to some of the main commercial pop ups out there, but with some small but crucial differences.

I do own a copy of popup domination which has an exit pop similar to how I want this one to work. I am not sure if it can be modified to suit, or something else is required.

The basic functionality will be:

I want the popup to appear as a hover box, and the screen around it to darken, whenever someone moves their mouse pointer towards either the back button, or to close the browser. (the same as many other exit pops work).

However, I only want it to show to people who have only been on the site for 15 seconds or “LESS”

A lot of the scripts I have found you can set to show after x seconds, but I only want to show it to people who are trying to leave within 15 seconds. (customizable length of time).

I also want the popup to just have a simple question, submission form, so people can answer my question and submit it, and I will get the results sent to my email.

Obviously I am looking for someone who has done this kind of work before, I am not sure what skills are needed, PHP, Javascript, CSS perhaps.

If you can show me any similar type of work, then it will put you are the top of the list.
