Magento Store Image Population – Manual Work

January 19th, 2012 Comments off

We have a store: www.arrowheadcorp.com that runs off the magento ecommerce platform.

We have a ton of products, but not all have images. We would like someone to go through each product and upload images…and on popular items upload several images for it. These images would have to be found on the internet by searching the MFG part number.

Please bid accordingly or you can view our site and bid complete project DB.

I am open to giving a complete list of MFG SKU part numbers if you …

This is a very simple task and I need it done as soon as possible.

I have a wordpress installation with a theme I provide. I will give you another website with the exact theme. All you have to do is copy all the sections/images/text exactly.

I need this done EXACTLY. No shortcuts, or excuses. I also need it done today. People with no reviews, dont message me or bid, and please include the word penguin in your bid so I know you actually read the brief.

List Of World Cities By Population

November 2nd, 2011 Comments off

I need a list of world cities with population greater than 100,000.

I already have a list of 1300 largest cities by population, I need to extend that.

One solution is to scrape wikipedia:

http://tinyurl.com/6kjrclm

entering each country and city page listed and extracting population

Or find an existing file with the information

Sql – Need To Extract Top Three Cities By Pop Per Area Code.

August 14th, 2011 Comments off

I have a database of information including the following:
Area Code, City, State, Population, Zip
for every zip code in the USA

I need to have the following information extracted from it. For each Area Code I need to have the top three cities by population extracted with the following information:
Area Code, City, State, Population, CL URL

IMPORTANT: The data is given by zip codes so there is a population size or record for each zip code so you might have 20 zip code records for New York with a separate population size for each so this would have to be combined (to form just one New York) to get an accurate top three list. I have attached an example of the data.

Also note that I need a corresponding Craigslist URL for each entry. This can be extracted from http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us but the url I need is the posting one. So click the city and click the post button and you will see the url.

Programmer must not give or keep the data given to them for this project. I need the data back in delimited format.

Travelingsalesmanproblem

October 15th, 2009 Comments off

In C. DEADLINE: October 25th. travelingSalesmanPr.c
Background
A very famous permutation problem is the Traveling Salesman Problem. One version of this problem is: given n cities with different distances among them, what is the least cost to visit all cities? Unfortunately, the brute-force method of solving this problems requires that we assess (n – 1)! permutations of the cities (why?). How feasible is this?

However, not all is lost. For computationally “hard” problems such as this one we have means to find good if not strictly optimal solutions – say within 5-10% of optimal. (Note that “computationally hard” problems are formalized as “np-complete” or “np-hard.”

One way to address this problem might be based upon a simplified approach to the permutation form of genetic algorithms. As always, Wikipedia has some good information on this technique.

Here is a basic approach (based upon an algorithm presented at Wikipedia) to solve our problem:
1. Choose the initial population of tours (generate a set of permutations of the orderings of the cities)
2. Evaluate the fitness of each individual tour
3. Repeat
1. Select best-ranking individuals to reproduce or as elites (see below)
2. Breed new generation through crossover or mutation or both (genetic operations) and give birth to offspring
3. Evaluate the individual fitness of each offspring
4. Replace worst ranked part of the current population with offspring
4. Until termination
Subsequent Generations will be made up of:

Mutations:
Make a minor change (for instance, randomly swap two or four cities) to make a slightly different version of a good order.

Crossovers:
Splice the end of one ordering to the end of another. This is not simple to realize with permutations (why?)

Elites
Do not cross over or mutate the few best individuals, but rather, keep them as-is.
Or, make copies of them and mutate the copies.

Termination of the Algorithm:
You will repeat the process of creating a generation of tours, checking for the best, determining elites and creating mutations, until the program reaches a terminating condition. Typical ways to terminate include:

List Of Market Segments

June 16th, 2009 Comments off

Need someone from marketing side to create a list of most possible “values” (i.e. categories) for each “variable” used market segmentation for both consumer markets and for business/industrial markets. For example, consumer segmentation can be based on “Geographic Segmentation” – the “variables” used in this segment can be Region, Country, Population Size of an Area, Population Density, Climate, Physical Geography etc. Then for each “variable”, there may be a list of commonly used “values” – e.g. for the variable “Population Size of an Area”, most common values/categories may be “below 1000″, “1001 to 100k”, “100k to 1 million”, “1 to 5 million”, “above 5 million” or for a variable “Countries” it would be a list of all countries. Another example would be for “demographic segmentation”, “occupation” would be one variable and the values would be a list of occupations.

Final format I need is a list consisting of different ways to segment (e.g. “Geographic”, “Demographic”, “Psycographic”, “Behavioralistic” etc for consumer and other types for the industrial markets) – for each of these types, please list commonly used variables and commonly used values of each of those variables.

I would prefer an excel/openoffice spreadsheet, but a plain text file is ok. You can have one segment on one worksheet or choose whatever structure you feel would be right.

Sql Table Uk County Population

May 11th, 2009 Comments off

I need someone to populate the county field of a MySQL table with UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) counties.

The table contains approximately 18,000 records of towns/villages in the UK.

I will provide a MySql table dump of the 18,000 records. Each record contains the place name, latitude and longitude, e.g. ‘London’, ’51.5166667′, ’51.5000000′. I will also provide a list of county codes, e.g. ‘GL’ = ‘Greater London’. There are approximately 110 counties.

You need to provide me with a PHP script with 18,000 individual SQL ‘Update’ statements to set the county code for each of the records, i.e. single-field updates, NOT a complete record or table update.

Clearly this can not be done manually but you will need to automate it by using the latitude and longitude to find in which county the town/village lies (either via geospatial border calculation or via auto-lookup against another database to which you have access).

There is no rush for this project – I am interested only in accuracy not speed of completion.

Payment upon successful completion and spot-check by myself of record accuracy.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE do not bid unless you know how to techically calculate the UK county for a given latitude/longitude location. The place name can NOT be used as there are many place name duplicates throughout the UK.

Many thanks.

i can provide a excell spread sheet with all pages that need to be linked together.

my site is : www.discoveryourmedway.co.uk
