First of all the title of my project is called ‘Mobile Media Caching,’ and it is an urgent project that must be done within 1-2 week from now.

Basically what it is about is to design and implement a mobile application that can be imported and used on a mobile phone device, (PDA to be precise) which will be based on the concept of a ‘Treasure Hunt’ (I’m pretty sure you know what this is too, if not then feel free to let me know). Within the application, a representation of media such as video, audio & text must be integrated so that it represents as a some form of clues or hints for the user to find their way through the ‘treasue hunt application.’ I would like it to be in the form of 3D viewing but if not, then in a form of Bird’s eye viewing is fine too.

In regards to the project title ‘Mobile Media Caching.’ The whole aim is to show a collection of media being implemented into a mobile phone gaming application but at the same time on the concept of it being used in a ‘treasure hunt mission.’

Adding a GPS function is what I would like to have to prove that when you are out of the area of where the treasure hunt is based on, you are unable to participate in the game, but once again this is not compulsory. But if it can be done, that would be great too. I have been told that Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 is the best program to use to implement this application, but if you feel that there is a better program to carry out this objective, please feel free to do so also.

I need someone to create a virtual d-pad with the 4 directional buttons as well as 4 programmable soft keys. My HTC Touch pro2 Is a great device but lacks the needed D-pad and soft keys. Some programs do not recognize the qwerty keyboard for mapping keys as well. What I would like to see is a program that could resize the resolution of the screen from a 800×480 (WVGA) to 640×480 (VGA), then within the unused area put a D-pad with the 4 soft keys there. Please let me know if you need more information.

a large warehouse has 4 wireless routers, a,b,c,d in opposite corners. we have a map of the warehouse and we insert this image into the program. We then walk around using a pda to calibrate the program based on signal strengths. Say if router or access point A has 70% signal, B has 40%, and C and D both have 30% we can register this with a program. So if we want to locate a PDA on a premisis, we can look on a digital map to get an approximate location.

Need some help completing code for pda application.

1. Application will be used for inspectors doing on-field work using PDA provided with camera and GPRS connectivity.
2. Inspector should login to application, search a contract using Contract No. or Contract Name, select record from Grid.
3. Once contract is selected, user could take a photo using photo control. Photo file should be associated with contract.
4. For each job detail related to contract, user should input date of inspection, quantity of advance and percentage of advance should be calculated.
5. Software should allow to upload data to central repository using ftp and mark record once transferred.

I started coding the application. I need someone to complete in timely manner the project as soon as possible to present demo to the customer.
Code and guidelines will be provided. Could communicate during office hours using msn messenger or skype.

Source Code in Visual Basic using Visual Studio 2008 and SQL CE database for PDA. Central repository database is in SQL Server 2003.

Web site conversion from ASP to ASP.net and mobile/PDA version of the site

We need to have a web-site transformed from classic ASP to ASP.net. The site is a part of a service desk application and used/installed at customer sites. It is therefore required that the code behind is compiled into a binary file and uses CSS to style the site (to allow customization).
The web-site is the front end of the enterprise application used to allow the end-users to see, create and track helpdesk requests as well as upload/download files and search an internal knowledgebase.
The site is quite simple, and currently based on a function DLL residing on the web-server as well as 3rd part component (dll) for tree-view structure (ASP treeview from Obout).
The ASP.net version shall be build using C# and with components from obout.com and chilkatsoft.com. It could eventually also include components from devexpress.com
In addition to transforming from classic ASP to ASP.net the site shall be tuned to perform at its maximum (partly by compiling the code into DLL or similar).

We will provide the backend (database, service etc) necessary to program the web site against. In addition you will of cause also get the originally ASP files to be transformed.

The mobile version of the site shall include a list of open/closed requests, and the possibility to write comments etc. on each request. It shall also be possible to search the knowledgebase and create new requests. (Pretty much the same functions as the full-version of the web-site, only optimized to be viewed on mobile devices with lower resolution
