Template For Softball Team

August 29th, 2009 Comments off

I’m in need of a simple template site for a girls ASA fast pitch softball team.

Our current site is this: http://ranchosandiego.clubspaces.com/default_css.aspx , but it runs through Clubspaces.com. I want an independent site that I can maintain. I think it should be a CSS site. A section where it cycles through pictures of our girls would also be nice.

Site needs to be the same colors and basic design as our current site above.

I am NOT a web programmer, but can make my way through Dreamweaver CS4 which I have.

I’d also like some custom design for the page header.

Thanks

Not Just Another Swoopo Clone

July 26th, 2009 Comments off

We used a canned clone script as a base to create the current design/layout of our site, which already has some non-typical features added to it. What we’ve found is that the basic script core functionality has way too many flaws to try to fix and it’s slowwwwwww. We have not gone live with the site yet.

Looking for a PHP auction site EXPERT or team of experts to help with the following:

1) Start with an existing (& known working) penny auction type base that is fast and can handle thousands of live auctions and users…. or write this part from scratch… we are open to your ideas here… however, you must know this script inside and out! We’ve seen a few of the “Swoopo Clones” out there and know what they look like and how poorly they perform, so make sure you know your stuff here.

2) Use graphics we supply you with to re-create our current site design with your new auction script

3) If possible, find an automated way we can transfer product database from old site to new site

4) We have very specific concepts we want to implement in terms of the way the site will work, both from admin and user points of view, so you need to know the script intimately (which is why writing from scratch might be a good idea)… changes in behavior of bid butlers, auction start times, and also shopping cart and won-auction processes will be needed.

5) We need a totally customized admin panel and CMS system… we have a very clear vision of how we want this to work, but this has not been laid out yet on our current site, so we will need to co-develop this new admin panel with you. We will take care of 95% of the graphic design, and your main task will be to handle site mechanics and functionality.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THESE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE RESPONDING.

Please do not respond with a list of more than 2 or 3 *relevant* examples.

*** You MUST have relevant experience to assure us of your expertise in this area…. don’t send us examples of static sites that don’t involve auctions or massive numbers of online users.***

WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER “SWOOPO CLONE” SCRIPT… we need someone who can take our new vision of what an entertainment shopping site should be and help us put it into action… this could turn into long term work for the right performer….

Upon completion, we will retain all rights to the customized code, graphics, and unique concepts we implement on the site. So please don’t bid on this project with plans to use the layout, concepts or code for another project in the future.

School Website Portal

Recently used Scriptlance to contract a designer who left us with a uncompleted project. All we have is the screenshots of his work and a link to the test server which will probably be removed when he sees this, http://thehostroom.com/WoodlandsCMS

Our goal was to have a completed revamped school website within a month, yet it’s been over 3 months and we’re no where near being complete. We need a fast working, good commnication, web designer, with no BS. I’m online doing the day and would like a daily update on the site, even its two sentences.

which included the following:
1. new school layout and design
2. admin panel where mulitple teachers can log onto the admin panel and edit their own pages through out the site, ( hence there has to be a way to give out passwords to different users within the admin panel)
3. the admin panel has to be search engine friendly, the content has be to seen by the spiders, admin panel has to allow images to be uploaded. The previous designer had it setup where, we could change out the sub headers within the admin panel which was a nice feature, all I have to do is browse to the image I wanted, he provided the psd file
4. We have a school management software called Renweb, their website is called renweb.com. We would like the data that teachers enter into renweb to be pulled and placed on the home page under events. Renweb will grant access to the ODBC setting, but they need an ip address ( this is very important that this information is auto pulled)
5. our current site is located on register.com with the highest hosting package they offer
6. We want our site to be as close as possible to masterschool.org
(page height, layout, and all ) you will see the work the previous contractor half way did, this the type of layout we’re looking for.
7. Datelines and updates have to be met. If you have a date it should be finsihed by that date. We are way behind on schedule now, thanks to the previous contractor.
8. Payment, SL had issues with our payments before, anything over 2k. We will not pay up front, we will not pay half down until we see where the project is going. How your communication skills are and design skills, once seen we’ll put money down.
We’re not here to waste our time and your time, nor are we here to get scammed.
9. If you would like a long lasting relationship with a dependable client, we are it.
10. SEO is a must, to view our current site visit www.woodlandsprep.org, you have to be knowledge to SEO!
11. we do not want false promises, don’t say you can do it then, 3 weeks down the road, say you can’t
12. The Media Resource section of the website, we have a virtual tour, which is down by a third party, but we’re looking for a video and photo gallery module too. We want the teachers to be able to log onto the admin panel for the resource center and upload classroom videos and have it placed by date with a scroll over preview option, ( only site I know does this is, youporn.com and redtube.com) As far as photo uploades, images need to be auto resized when uploaded. Gallery needs to be flashy and get an attention getter.
