1. Overview

- Our company collects all of the obituary information throughout Canada and other relevant details related to the same
- This information is provided to us from hundreds of sources
- We take all of this information, input it into a spreadsheet (or a database, whatever is easier for you) and then upload this information onto the website for paid users to be able to search & view.
- When users view this information:
 Each ROW represents one (1) obituary
 Each COLUMN represents a particular detail of each individual obituary (EX: Date of Birth)
 There will be thousands of ROWS
 There is going to be 15-20 COLUMNS
- The most important part of this business is the search function of the website

Funeral Obituary Page

Have a funeral home website completed and I need to have a sub-domain for the obituaries. I need a page using php working from a sql database that will show the most recent obits (based upon time posted) and the ability to sort and view a listing all by date or last name. Clicking the name will navigate to that individual’s funeral services info. The individual page will show picture (or default graphic for when there isn’t any picture in database), a text area (for bio, obit, service info) and finally a form that will be generated for each page in which all emails go to the same email address but the subject line would be a variable using the deceased name. Need mySql database created, php page (already have an html designed), a page to upload new obits would be nice but not necessary as I could use sql admin.

Database would be simple single table allowing a unique ID, last name, first name, m.i., post date, death date, birth date, text area for visitation and obit information…similarly as seen in the url example above.

Memorial/obituary Site

Please give an accurate estimate of the cost. The budget is extremely low, but I need a realistic idea of the cost to do everything listed. A website template will be provided for the layout. Only functionality is needed. Programming language used will be your choice based on speed, efficiency, and ease of modification (by me).

Description:
Memorial/Obituary Site
- Myspace-like
- users sign up for a page w/ a personalized URL [www.website.com/mmartin006] that user can choose
- admin-controllable option for accepting payments
- accepts payments from Paypal.com and/or Authorize.net
- ability to upload photos
- ability to embed Youtube, Google, etc. videos
- simple guestbook on pages [similar to a comments section at the bottom]

Page Input Info
[once page is setup, it should be editable from both user's account page and Site Administrator page]
- Name
- Birthdate
- Date of death
- Hometown
- Obituary
- Funeral Info
- Wake info & address
- Burial Info & address
- Photos [photo upload - multiple upload function - 1 main photo & 10-20 photo gallery limit]
- Videos [video embed code input - 2 video limit]
- Guestbook [guestbook entries should be editable from users's account page - edit/delete]

Site Administrator page
- Add/remove accounts [ability to manually create or delete accounts]
- ability to change photo upload limit
- ability to set file size and file dimension limitations [only allow uploading of JPEGs and GIFs]
- ability to change video limit
- ability to turn on or off payments
- ability to edit users’ guestbook entries
*Basically the ability to fully edit any users’ page content
- ability to add/modify Funeral Home accounts, re-billing, etc.
- ability to restrict access to select accounts and funeral home accounts

Funeral Home accounts
- similar to Site Admin account
- 1 central account that can add/remove sub-accounts[pages under that account]
- pages will be same as normal pages, but will have the funeral homes’ name on the pages

Elements Needed for Homepage:
User Login:
- User Name
- Password

Search form(s):
- Database needs to be searchable by name, date of death, date of birth, funeral home, and/or cemetery.

Want some of the functionality similar to these sites. Not complete copies, but I would like to borrow some ideas from them along with what I listed in the project description.

Adjust And Comment Php Code

hello. I’d like to get this project done today.

All I need is the PHP Code adjusted to display page numbers differently.

Currently pages are numbered links such as :: 1 2 3 4 5 6 etc and go on and on and are streching past the 700px width of the HTML table causing misalignment. I would like the pages to be numbered as follows :

Is the above clear enough ? Every ten pages the numbers change. So page30 would display links to 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 etc etc

Currently there are 61 pages. There a three notices displayed on each page and they can have pictures with each notice… some do, some don’t. Pretty easy for a programmer who knows php and how to change it and make it work. I need the changes commented in the code. that is very important for future programming adjustments. Whoever is chosen must do a very thuro job on this. There will be more coming and I will need help soon with a good programmer who is able to communicate well and use AOL IM especially if not located near me.

Please be able to communicate via AOL instant messanger. That is what I use and the only way I communicate. There is an escrow for this project. Need it done today. Thankyou.

Obituary Manager

Im looking for a obituary module for a website. It must have an easy to use interface. Needs to include picture, leave condolence, view condolence and of course the obit. The website was done in Dreamweaver and Flash.. site viewable at www.campbellfuneralhomes.com
