Google O3d Chatroom

I’m looking to use google’d new o3d to implement a virtual world.
I want to test the o3d api first however to see if it will suit me.

I want to develop a virtual world using the o3d api. The world will have a small tropical island that has scenes typical of hawaii.
Users can create an avatar and choose how the avatar looks by selecting their skin colour, hair, eyes, nose and any other body features.

The island should be simple with one main building where everyone starts when the join the world. The users won’t need to do much except be able to talk via text to each other.

The users should be allowed to use the arrow keys to walk around.

that’s it. I just want a quick application to test the o3d platform.
If this test is a success i will hire the developer again in a new project to improve the application and add a lot more features.

As i said this application is purley for testing the o3d platform, but could lead to a full scale prooject if it is any good. The google api is here http://code.google.com/apis/o3d/docs/devguideintro.html
